01:07intensity is unmatched anywhere else in the sport and if you let him get out front with clean air
01:13and a race format like this in a shorter format he's as good as gone boys 100% game over great insight
01:20there JT and another thing that Kenny Rockson does well is if you make a move on him boom he counters
01:26that in an instant and you want to talk about Hunter Lawrence needing to improve those early laps how
01:32about the fact that he is caught and is pressing Sexton little bobble there though for the Honda man well
01:37he did uh-oh there goes Webb yeah Defendant Champ we talked about him at the top of the show the situation
01:42that he's in and this comes as no surprise now he had a better run last weekend but he laid it down
01:48and if he wants to fight for this championship he has to have these kind of rides but a great job like you
01:55talked about with Hunter getting up here in that position early on in the race but Prado is still
02:02holding strong in second ahead of these three Sexton and Webb who have won this title before and Lawrence
02:09attacking Sexton who has been so strong to start the year kind of what we expected though Prado with
02:13the starts he has proven he can run this pace no holding back in this triple crown format remember
02:19the races are much shorter 12 laps or 12 minutes plus one lap and these guys have to go all out in
02:28three sprint races then you see Tomac and Anderson behind Webb what direction is it going to go you had
02:35Lawrence attacking Sexton now Webb attacking it here comes Tomac he checks up gets to the outside of
02:44Jason Anderson right here it's going to be really important for Eli to try to make a move early if he
02:51doesn't those those top four guys are going to continue to build a gap and it's going to be hard for
02:58Eli to catch up make up that much ground well similar story to his teammate Roxxon yeah Anderson
03:05proofs he can go fast for a bit I like last week I like that inside line that Anderson took that could
03:10be a possible passing line if he finds himself in a position to have to make make a move
03:16the starts have been lights out for Tomac on this Red Bull KTM thus far this year now he's got work to do
03:24he and Anderson have battled literally their entire racing lives at every level and another one here
03:31well we talked about how it's so important to be consistent in the triple crown I will tell you
03:42it works kind of in your favor in this situation if you're Eli Tomac because if you don't win this
03:50first race at least you have two other races to redeem yourself and make up possible points rather
03:55if this was just a regular main event he'd had his work he would have his work cut out for him so
04:00yes it's funny how we've learned through the years it almost works the opposite of what you think
04:07where you almost get a reset in certain circumstances and this being the circumstance that Eli's in right
04:14now love how he's coming out of these corners to the inside now he'll have the advantage coming to
04:18this 90 degree corner perfect pass he set that pass up he worked on it two laps in a row and now he
04:25executes it these next couple laps will be really fun oh Sexton has caught Prado for second watch this
04:30inside here oh he doesn't go remember what I talked about Prado this format and how it plays into his
04:40favor now one end Prado has been caught but he is not that far off of Roxson here's the inside for
04:47Sexton got it great pass let's see if Prado is able to do anything with it no he misses that rhythm
04:53lane isn't able to go triple triple well that's what JT has been talking about to JT that corner right
05:01there yeah that's one of the passing zones that we're going to be looking for tonight and these guys
05:06have to really come with a plan you saw Eli Tomac get aggressive you simply don't have time to wait
05:12if this was a 21 minute race sure Chase Sexton could be patient but if you're gonna go chase down the
05:17likes of Ken Rockson you simply don't have time to wait on Jorge Prado there's reason to believe JT that we
05:23might even see a better version of Chase Sexton this weekend than we did last weekend when he got that
05:28win he got out in front last weekend and seemed to sort of maintain that gap very well and talking to the team
05:34they said to me well you know he has more than that we want to give him more than that but maybe he didn't have it
05:40last weekend so they've actually went back to work on the bike this week but another long testing day
05:45and so what they're trying to do is to get him in that position where if 100% is needed if he does
05:50have to push then it will be there for him when the comfort will be there well look at the bottom of
05:54your screen right there Eli Tomac he's pulled up on the rear tire of Cooper Webb and he was the fastest
06:00guy on the racetrack last lap with a 47.2 second was Chase Sexton with a 47.3 so a tenth faster
06:09and Eli showed us a lot of speed and qualifying practice much better than last week for sure so I
06:17think he's back in the zone and there they are right in front of him oh what a battle here you've got
06:22Lawrence Webb and Tomac Prado just ahead of them what direction is it going to go at one point it looked
06:29like Webb was trying to set up Hunter now it looks like Eli's trying to set up for a pass on Webb
06:35it's tight well we talked about uh these long rhythm lanes here and how much speed they have
06:41going through these rhythm lanes so one good thing about that it gives you time to make a possible
06:46pass if you get a good run out of the corner you have a lot of straightaway speed you can make the
06:52move there well I'll tell you who's got speed it's Sexton he is to the rear wheel of Roxton you see the top
06:57box battle for the lead starting now as the battle well two positions Lawrence going after Prado Tomac going
07:05after Webb I'm digging that drone shot there from behind it really gives us a perspective and you
07:11can see how the lines are starting to form up and the different lines say that Chase is taking
07:17compared to Ken Roxton just kind of off the path a little bit either to the left or to the right
07:22just by a couple inches oh that's what great stuff right there for the drone you can see it playing
07:32as a I thought the four was going off the track and honestly Webb almost made the same exact mistake
07:37and nearly collected Tomac with him things are starting to ramp up as these battles get closer
07:43Webb still right there with Lawrence yeah watch Eli Tomac right here if he's able to get a good run to see
07:49if he can make a move through the whoops got to go to the left right here no good run for Coop through
07:56the whoops and Eli maybe Eli is going to try to size up Cooper Webb in that same corner which would be
08:04the next corner here this left coming up where he swung it out wide turned down early the position
08:10himself to be in the inside but he isn't able to do that what about the position in the middle Webb and
08:16Lawrence they're both in that offense defense talk about the sandwich that they're in right now
08:20oh I mean it's it's a nail biter right here
08:24Webb would like to get Lawrence Lawrence like to get Prado but they got to worry about being passed
08:29also watch this there you go remember he's turning down early like that he's going to have to do it
08:35here going to be tough if he can get to the left hand side oh he does watch watch the one right here
08:42though oh he doesn't he closes the door great riding by Eli but Coop's coming back
08:47and Eli just out jumps Webb a Webb thought going inside Tomac protected Webb back
08:55wow and Lawrence has gotten around Prado as well critical juncture of the race
09:02see if Tomac can keep the momentum going not get hung up by Prado he's going to have to make the move
09:10he's all over him Weege how it's too close for comfort the teammates Tomac was almost underneath Prado in the air
09:19yeah Eli riding a lot better this weekend than he was last weekend he's able to turn down early in the
09:28corners wasn't able to do that last week looking very similar to what we saw the first two weeks
09:34but give it up to Jorge Prado and just how well he's done this season
09:39little fun fact for you guys he's won more heat races in a 450 career than Hunter Lawrence and Justin Cooper
09:48he would not think that I know you don't think that this rider is only now 11 races in to racing supercross
09:56the Spaniard from the MX GP series which is all based all over the world but mainly racing in Europe
10:03where they do not have supercross
10:05Tomac got the pass Prado misses that rhythm section right there isn't able to go triple in the middle
10:12oh Prado trying to come back on his teammate remember I told you that inside when Jason Anderson went there
10:20that's a really sneaky line there you can catch someone sleeping
10:28so that was huge big two positions gained for Tomac
10:36couple other incidents earlier in this race we can show you still in for random so the 14 going up the
10:41body yeah up the inside Christian Craig oh Christian kind of leans in to guard his position
10:51and Dylan keeps using the track up Ruben's racing uh oh oh Lawrence
10:57an uncharacteristic mistake for the 96 yeah but if you think that's right there in that corner before
11:03the mechanics area we saw a couple guys almost jump off track right there it narrows up after that 90
11:10degree corner guys fading to the outside let's see what happened okay tabletop over single 90 oh he's losing
11:19his front end to start with going in that rut and doesn't get straightened up enough watch his front
11:24end just ever so slightly moves right there see it wiggled a couple times and then you hit that you hit
11:31that pavement on the uh edge of the track right there it is like ice so that is a huge swing
11:39Lawrence going back got passed by Webb Prado and uh Tomac and Anderson wow I can't believe how far
11:47yeah Ken Rockson has pulled away yes four seconds lead JT wow yeah the resilience here is remarkable
11:58because Sexton seems like he had him in his sights and it'll be interesting to ask Chase Sexton after
12:02the race what exactly went on does he feel like Kenny responded or did Chase simply make mistakes at
12:08a critical time because I think most people felt like that pass was becoming inevitable yeah JT sitting
12:14here looking at timing and scoring Chase had a 51.4 that last lap to Kenny's 4.9 so there goes the delta
12:22right there yeah bad lap for Sexton maybe a mistake and suddenly Roxanne has a commanding lead Roxanne's the
12:29first rider to ever sweep a triple crown in Glendale Arizona a couple of years ago and we knew he would
12:35be strong in this format and he has not disappointed love to see it man just looks so comfortable on this motorcycle
12:44the starts are on point and if this ain't a confidence booster for him for Kenny
12:52here tonight I don't know what would be I can't believe how many lappers that they've caught up to
12:58early on in this race yeah short race and they're still deep into it and these aren't good riders they're
13:03laughing track really got ruddy just in this 12 minutes plus one lap race
13:09really they're trying to tell a lot how to get out of the way
13:15Roxanne fires first here in the triple crown of Houston not a surprise he's been riding well all
13:20year long the 94 is number one in race one Ken Roxanne
13:29Sexton second and again it's all about the overall at the end of the night what a salvage job for Tomac to
13:36come through for third Webb is going to get to fourth got around Prado and Lawrence had the crash
