A tragic road accident occurred in Kodagu, where a car rammed into an auto-rickshaw from behind, resulting in the death of the 45-year-old auto driver. The incident took place near the Sampaje Gate in Madikeri. The Kia Seltos car hit the auto-rickshaw with such force that the auto driver fell to the ground, and the auto-rickshaw overturned. Despite the severity of the collision, the car driver did not stop and fled the scene. A sand-laden truck arrived and halted at the spot. Graphic visuals show the auto driver lying motionless on the ground, and the overturned auto-rickshaw. The police have registered a case at the Madikeri Rural Police Station.
