00:00Just in case you needed to see some big cats in your stories today, meet 27-year-old Shandor Laurenti and his best friend, 10-year-old George the Lion.
00:10The two have been close for 10 years, ever since George was born at the Lion and Safari Park in Gauteng, South Africa.
00:17It's like watching a child grow up or a younger sibling, says Shandor. It's exactly the same feeling.
00:24And George, in turn, loves to spend time with his older brother, Shandor.
00:28He likes hanging out, getting brushed, getting massages, eating treats, and even getting fly repellent applied.
00:34Sounds strange, but that repellent, or perfume, as Shandor calls it, must have some catnip in it or something,
00:40because look at how George instantly rubs up against it and rolls on the floor, opening himself up for it to be rubbed on him.
00:46While all this looks like fun and games, Shandor is quick to remind us that one must watch out for when their wild natural instinct kicks in.
00:54It's important to notice when George or anyone else in the Pride is having a bad day, and leave them be.
