00:00One of the joys of parenting is getting the kids to sleep at night and good
00:05routines can help. Here are a few ideas from experts. Dr. Lu told HuffPost her
00:11trick for bedtime. I give my kids ages 6 and 3 a 10-minute bedtime warning and
00:18let them play for 10 minutes while I set up our bedtime routine. Teamwork is also
00:24important. If you have a partner you should share in the routine so it is
00:28not all on one person to get the kids to actually stay in bed and sleep. The
00:34Sleep Foundation says that whatever your bedtime routine you should do it every
00:39day. Once it is a habit it will help the kids prepare for sleep and then the
00:44parents can enjoy a little quiet time.
