00:00Ah, Super Bowl Sunday getting closer and closer here.
00:03Well, I mean, come on.
00:04We just ended Sunday's football games, talked about on a Monday,
00:06and here we are on a Tuesday because we have a week and a half plus
00:09to get you ready for Super Bowl Sunday.
00:126.30 start.
00:13That's between the Seattle Seahawks, technically the road team,
00:15taking on the home team, technically again,
00:17the New England Patriots in Santa Clara.
00:19This line opened up around 4.5.
00:21Some lines bumped up to 5, but primarily, Joe,
00:24we're seeing once again 4.5s in the marketplace across the board.
00:27The total, however, 46.5% at opening number,
00:30has actually been bet down to 45.5s at a lot of outlets here.
00:34Seattle and New England still about a week and a half out.
00:37Give me that spread line for Super Bowl Sunday.
00:40Yeah, starting to settle in.
00:41We saw a lot more New England money push back yesterday.
00:45Early, we talked about it in the morning yesterday, Donnie.
00:49We did see a lot of overnight Seattle money.
00:52That extended into yesterday morning.
00:55But as the day went on, we started to see some leveling out.
00:58We started to see some buyback here.
01:01Once it got to 5, even hit 5.5 at one point, Donnie.
01:05But that was kind of the line that was drawn in the sand.
01:08Now, keeping in mind, we're still a couple days away
01:11from the limits being raised.
01:14Right now, the books are trying to see exactly
01:16what the temperature of the public is.
01:19And more importantly, the influential bettors,
01:22who really are the ones that are going to decide
01:24which way this line goes early on.
01:27And right now, it appears that, yeah, a lot of the pros, Donnie,
01:30feel like that five number might be pushing it.
01:33So I am more inclined to think now that this lands
01:37four and a half or less,
01:39more so than maybe four and a half or more
01:42by the time we get to kickoff.
01:44NFL news and notes here.
01:45You watch the Seattle Seahawks advance
01:47to the NFC Championship game,
01:49win that NFC Championship game,
01:50and now wind themselves into the Super Bowl here.
01:53Tough season all through,
01:54where they were fighting back and forth
01:55with the Los Angeles Rams
01:56and clipped them again on Sunday in a close game.
02:00Now, Sean McVay,
02:01if you just would have kicked that field goal
02:02five minutes left,
02:03I would have a little bit more dollars in my pocket.
02:04You would have covered the spread,
02:05but that's not what the Rams do,
02:07because Joe will tell you as well,
02:08the week before that in Chicago,
02:10just play a little bit of defense there,
02:11and you probably would have covered a spread
02:12or two there at that point.
02:13But the season is over now
02:15for the Los Angeles Rams,
02:17and here's Sean McVay on that Seattle loss.
02:19It was a great back and forth game
02:20by two great teams,
02:22but it's a couple of critical errors
02:23that ended up costing us,
02:25but love this team.
02:26It's one of my all-time favorites.
02:28I'll be honest with you guys right now.
02:31Nothing but gratitude for these guys.
02:33Nothing but respect for the Seahawks.
02:36And I'm pretty numb.
02:37You know, I don't think,
02:38I think the finality of all of it,
02:40you know, when you don't allow yourself
02:41to even think about anything
02:43other than just advancing.
02:44You know, I felt like we were going to be
02:45the team on that podium,
02:46and we weren't.
02:47And, you know, you give Seattle the credit.
02:50But I love this group,
02:51and, you know, I'm never really short on words,
02:55and I am right now.
02:56So it's tough.
02:58But this is sports,
02:59and you've got to be able to deal with it.
03:01He's right about one thing there.
03:03You lose in the NFC Championship game,
03:04boy, it's got to be hard to wait two weeks
03:06and watch the Super Bowl knowing,
03:07Joe, you could have been there, man.
03:10Oh, please.
03:11And I'm still replaying this in my head, Donnie.
03:14I'm still trying to figure out
03:15why we're not challenging that catch,
03:18you know, with Cooper Cup there and the spot,
03:22but yet still using a timeout.
03:24I'm still trying to figure out why it is,
03:26McVay, you didn't go for a two-point conversion,
03:28not once, but twice in those last two touchdowns
03:31to make it a field goal game.
03:33I got a lot of questions
03:34and a lot less about the players
03:36and much more about McVay
03:38and his actual game management and play calling.
03:42Puka Dukua on a disappointing offense here.
03:44Let's hear from him.
03:45...that we had at the red zone,
03:47on a safety,
03:49and just not being on the same page as Matthew,
03:50and just opportunities that I missed.
03:53The third down opportunities,
03:54knowing that the ball's coming
03:56and we're passing the ball
03:57and the opportunity for us to make plays is right there
03:59and not being able to come down with any of those moments
04:01kind of flash by your head.
04:02And I think I apologize to the defense
04:06for putting them in those situations
04:07because we feel like we could have executed
04:09in order to make that game easier for them.
04:12What did you see?
04:13You know, Coach talked about that
04:14before the sticks that they went for
04:16and on the head peel out.
04:19What did you see on that play?
04:21I was in at number three,
04:22got a little drop defender from the line of scrimmage
04:24and had somebody over there.
04:26We were on the backside of the concept.
04:28Didn't get a chance to see what happened
04:29on the front side
04:29and then quick scramble moves
04:30just in the red zone.
04:32Everything happens faster,
04:33less space for the defensive cover,
04:35and I still haven't got a chance to receive.
04:38So a great call by them.
04:40And then, yeah,
04:40just think about the opportunities
04:42on the third down,
04:44just not being able to make plays
04:46so we can avoid fourth down situations
04:48and put ourselves in a better situation
04:49and go out there and score touchdowns.
04:51Second and four in the red zone
04:53turned in the fourth and four in the red zone
04:55turned into a turnover on downs, Joe.
04:57That's what he's talking about.
04:58That's pretty much exactly it.
05:03Play calling, suspect,
05:04the whole nine really across the board there.
05:07It's kind of tough.
05:10And that's going to eat at their crawl for a while,
05:14Donnie,
05:14because you can play the what-if game a lot,
05:17and especially with them,
05:18because as good as Sam Darnold had played,
05:21my goodness,
05:22the Rams had every opportunity to win that game.
05:24Yep, Matthew Stafford is firing back
05:27as if he was right in the middle of his prime.
05:29Then there might be some prime doubt
05:31if he's coming back here.
05:33Here's Sean McVay talking about Stafford's future.
05:35Matthew Stafford will be back next season.
05:37Yeah, I mean, that's,
05:38I mean, if he still wants to play,
05:40the whole kind of question is that?
05:41The answer, yeah.
05:44You have to ask him.
05:45We've been totally present.
05:47I know that if he wants to,
05:49he's still playing at a pretty damn good clip.
05:51I mean, he's the MVP of the league,
05:52and if he's not, you know,
05:54I mean, I got respect for everybody else,
05:56but this guy played at a level that's just different.
05:57I appreciate you guys to share.
06:01Ah, he wanted to get out of there quick.
06:02Joe, did you see that?
06:03Exit stage left.
06:04Yeah, it was not good.
06:06Yeah, he was not happy with that question,
06:08nor was he happy probably with his play calling
06:11and game management as well.
06:13The Buffalo Bills should be the hottest job
06:16in the marketplace here in the NFL,
06:17but we're interviewing guys like Phillip Rivers,
06:19who Phillip Rivers is actually pulling his name
06:21out of consideration here.
06:22That would have been an interesting concept
06:24to give him that job,
06:25but this is a team that feels like it's right on the cusp.
06:28Don't you want somebody who's been there,
06:29done that, sort of like that,
06:30hey, Tony Dungey couldn't do it in Tampa.
06:31Let's go to John Gruden.
06:32Boom, we got a Super Bowl.
06:33That's what we're looking for, right, in Buffalo?
06:36Yeah.
06:37Well, here's the crazy part, Tide.
06:38They don't know what they're looking for.
06:40They have no idea what they're doing,
06:42and that is completely evident over the last week
06:45of how they have conducted themselves
06:48and conducted business.
06:49His kid is a senior this year in high school on the team,
06:52and they've lost back-to-back state championships.
06:55Something tells me he's going back to coach
06:58one more year in high school.
07:00One more year of high school for Phillip Rivers,
07:02and maybe he gets called back to duty
07:03late November for another NFL team.
07:05More news and notes coming up next
07:06right here on the Early Life.
07:07We're having a little trivia right here for you,
07:09Joe Ranieri.
07:10The Seattle Seahawks, how about this?
07:11The last three times a new pope was elected,
07:14the Seahawks have made the Super Bowl
07:15as the number one seed, 2005 Pope Benedict,
07:192013 Pope Francis, and 2025 Pope Leo here.
07:24Must be all written in the stars, huh?
07:27Apparently.
07:28I mean, my goodness there.
07:30So, all right, one more time, one more go around.
07:33Will they be able to get it done here in this one?
07:38It's going to be very interesting to see
07:40how all this plays out,
07:41and does it resemble anything like the previous two?
07:44So, let's, and also, let's take a look here.
07:47Okay, NFL, Seattle's in there.
07:48Super Bowl's going to be in Santa Clara.
07:50Also, the Pro Bowl will be out there in San Francisco
07:53with a new Pro Bowl quarterback.
07:55That is Shador Sanders.
07:56Now, they don't play the Pro Bowl anymore.
07:57It's called the Pro Bowl games,
07:58where you just go out there, collect a paycheck,
08:00throw a couple footballs, sign it, and get out of town.
08:02But Shador Sanders catching a lot of heat on social media.
08:06We can't have this happen, Joe.
08:07This is ridiculous.
08:08Well, the only reason it is happening
08:12is because he's being asked as a replacement
08:16because nobody else wants to play in this situation
08:20or whatever this is.
08:22Nobody else wants anything to do with it.
08:24So, yeah, he's going to be a replacement.
08:27He's, like, down the list here.
08:28But, yeah, that just tells you the quality
08:31of the individuals that are willing to go.
08:33This is much like we talked about, Donnie, right?
08:36Why not? I get to go to a Pro Bowl?
08:38Yeah, I'll go. Why not?
08:39Sure, you don't deserve to be there.
08:42How about that?
08:42Does that go right on your Wikipedia page, too?
08:45Like, hey, man, I made the Pro Bowl when I was there.
08:47How did you do? Who did you beat out?
08:49Did you beat out, like, you know,
08:50one of the best with Lamar Jackson?
08:51No, I just, nobody wanted to go.
08:53I went, so therefore, I'm an alternate Pro Bowler,
08:55and therefore, I am a Pro Bowler.
08:56And away we go at this point.
08:58How about this? Jared Goff,
08:59he's going to replace Sam Darnold.
09:00Darnold was never going to the Pro Bowl anyway.
09:02Ah, my oblique hurt if I lost last week.
09:04He's going to the Super Bowl.
09:05Jared Goff's like, I'll spend a couple passes in these games.
09:09Pro Bowler.
09:10Because he lives there.
09:11He's a California guy.
09:12No kidding.
09:13Yeah, like, yeah, okay, easy enough.
09:15I mean, people are not going to go out of their way for this game.
09:18Certainly fans aren't.
09:19But, you know, even the players are like, yeah, it's convenient.
09:23I can hop in a car for an hour and drive up there and get it done.
09:25We're all good.
09:26All good.
09:27We're old enough to watch the Pro Bowl games
09:29where before the game itself,
09:31they used to have a couple things on a beach,
09:32and then one guy named Mr. Edwards.
09:35Knee went left when his body went right,
09:37and they never did those Pro Bowl games again.
09:38So waiting for that next injury to take away these Pro Bowl games,
09:41as we say.
09:42The Super Bowl takes a week off.
09:45Get the hype building up.
09:46Next week, it'll be game week again.
09:47We will analyze every single move,
09:50every single injury report that comes back.
09:52We'll overcompensate for things we shouldn't be doing,
09:54and then we'll take a look at that spread to see where it settles in at,
09:57which right now sits as a 4.5-point favorite for the Seattle Seahawks,
10:01and a 45.5 total to 46, depending where he's shopping at,
10:05to see where that one lands on Super Bowl Sunday.
10:07So as we start here, I don't think there's too many takers.
10:10Just look at roughly the ticket count, Joe.
10:1175% of the spread tickets here coming in on Seattle.
10:15That's no surprise.
10:16They looked really good in their victory against the Rams in a fun game,
10:19and New England had that snow game, barely pulled it out.
10:22That's going to happen.
10:23Also, questions of oblique injury to Sam Darno.
10:25Is he going to be just fine for the Super Bowl?
10:27Looked just fine the past two weeks.
10:28And how about Drake May?
10:30Maybe a shoulder injury that suffered on Sunday in the snow?
10:33Maybe not.
10:34I'm sure they'll keep that under wraps as well.
10:36But here we sit, Joe, roughly two weeks out from the Super Bowl.
10:39That's a 4.5-point favorite towards Seattle.
10:42Yeah, and let's be realistic here.
10:45I think there is a lot that is going to change over the next two weeks here, Donnie.
10:51But I do think that key numbers are out of the question.
10:55I don't think we're getting anywhere to three.
10:59I don't think we're getting anywhere to seven.
11:01This is what we like to call no man's land here in the business because the difference,
11:07there is no difference between taking 4.5, laying 4.5, or 5, or even 5.5, Donnie.
11:14They're not key numbers.
11:15They are not part of what you would try one way or the other and think, oh, there's value.
11:20No, 4.5, 5.5 is the book's way of saying we're going to let you guys decide which way
11:27we keep this pushing.
11:29If there's an abundance of Seattle money, this thing will get closer to six.
11:34But if there's not, this thing will likely land four when it's all said and done.
11:39So forget about key numbers.
11:41You're not going to get one in this Super Bowl.
11:44Tweet sent out by Ryan Butler of Covers, Super Bowl LX is the unlikeliest matchup of all time
11:51based on preseason odds with Seattle 60-1 and New England 80-1.
11:56It's the second least likely matchup in major North American sports history after the 1991
12:01World Series between Minnesota 80-1 and Atlanta 200-1.
12:05By the way, I think that World Series ended in seven games on a one-to-nothing, basically
12:09like walk-off base knocker, walk-off home run in that one.
12:12It's a sensational series.
12:13But how about that?
12:14Unlikely opponents show in the Super Bowl.
12:17Yeah, no, very unlikely.
12:20I mean, nobody saw this one coming.
12:22We get that.
12:23But it's interesting.
12:24We have seen that usually in these spots, I believe, underdogs in the Super Bowl of three
12:31or more points have covered the spread, Donnie, I think 12 of the last 15.
12:37So it's been very profitable if you're getting more than a field or at least a field goal
12:42or more.
12:43We have seen in this spot now, dogs have risen to the occasion.
12:48The biggest spread, by the way, was Pittsburgh in 2009.
12:52That's the last big spread that we've gotten.
12:55And that was seven.
12:56Pittsburgh won that one, but they didn't cover it either, laying a touchdown.
13:01We'll see if that trend continues here in this one.
13:04It's crazy to think in the 1990s where the NFC would just win the NFC championship and then
13:08go to the Super Bowl.
13:09It's like 15, 16, 17-point favorite.
13:11So at least we do get some good, you know, referendums on good Super Bowl games as opposed
13:16to just a blowout watch.
13:17How about this?
13:17From one Seahawk quarterback to another, Russell Wilson tweeted out, Sam Darnold's comeback story
13:22over the past two years has been one of the most inspirational things to watch.
13:25Cool seeing him overcome.
13:26Congrats, bro.
13:27Hope you win it all.
13:28And go Hawks.
13:29Hmm.
13:30Trying to take the spotlight from Sammy D?
13:31What's he doing?
13:33I have no idea, but please get his picture.
13:36I mean, no, stop it.
13:38Like, we trust Sam now.
13:40We don't trust you, Russell.
13:41But it's what a, hey, listen, if you're Seattle, right?
13:45I mean, let's be honest.
13:46Nobody really thought out of college Russell Wilson was going to be that big a game changer.
13:51Don't forget, it was Pete Carroll that had him down on the depth chart, too.
13:56Until, of course, he started him one year and everyone's like, what are we starting Russell
14:01Wilson for?
14:01Well, then it kind of took off from there.
14:04Same thing with Sam Darnold.
14:05So Seattle has a way of finding talent that maybe nobody else seemed to think would amount
14:12to anything.
14:12Remember how boring it used to be, talking every single year about the Kansas City Chiefs
14:17and or the New England Patriots?
14:18Well, the Patriots are back in the Super Bowl.
14:20It's been seven long years, Joe.
14:22Welcome back.
14:23Welcome back, boys.
14:25Yeah.
14:26And that's, yeah.
14:27Yeah.
14:27Right.
14:28I mean, people are going absolutely bliss at being like, you got to be kidding me.
14:31Now we got to deal with the Patriots back in the suit.
14:34Yep.
14:34Yes.
14:35The worst, the most annoying fan base in the world is back, folks.
14:38So get used to it.
14:39What if it's even a hot ticket?
14:40Is it a hot ticket out there?
14:41I don't know.
14:42I can't gauge the interest of Seattle versus New England in San Francisco.
14:45But Super Bowl MVP here.
14:47Sam Darnold, the leader, plus 125.
14:48Drake May, plus 230.
14:50And then a bunch of other players behind that.
14:52Will it be a quarterback, Joe, that's announced MVP when it's all said and done?
14:55Most likely, yes.
14:58Because neither team's going to run very well.
15:01Sam D.
15:02Hour number two.
15:03Coming up next, the hot topics don't stop.
15:06The calm before the Super Bowl storm.
15:08You have a week to sort of recover from what took place in AFC-NFC Championship Games Sunday.
15:13And also, what we anticipate is going to happen in San Francisco slash Santa Clara for the Super Bowl.
15:19I'm Donnie Wright, said he's Joe Ranieri.
15:20It's bringing Adam Kaufman here.
15:21Because we've got a lot to talk about, including those Patriots who after seven years of a hiatus,
15:26back into the Super Bowl, Adam.
15:29Look, there are second graders in New England that didn't know what this experience felt like, guys.
15:35So, yeah, long time coming, obviously.
15:38And now let's see if the Patriots can finish the job.
15:41But, yeah, I'm excited, obviously, just to have another couple weeks to talk about this team.
15:45I'm sure that you guys and most of the country are feeling the exact opposite way.
15:50But I will present you, at least, it could have been Jarrett Stidham and the Broncos.
15:55I mean, you have to at least be happy that it's this situation.
15:58I'm sure you're not rooting for the Pats.
16:00People are probably on the same Darnold train and rooting for that story right now.
16:03And I get it.
16:04But, I mean, you would have had a 10-point spread if it was the Broncos in this position.
16:10So, at least the Patriots might give us a game here.
16:13No, you're right about that, Adam.
16:14The Broncos' loss saved us from what we were setting up for the next two weeks and come on now.
16:21It's about superstars and big stories.
16:23Like, say what you want about Drake May.
16:24Guy's going to be either 1-2 in the MVP race.
16:26We need some marquee talent in the Super Bowl, which we got.
16:29So, let's go back to that game because I do think this is a great talking point.
16:32A lot of people look at that Patriots-Broncos game and go 10-7.
16:35Oh, the Rams were so much fun and the Seahawks.
16:37Styles make fights and situational play makes sense.
16:40Because when you get into a game and it's close and the snow's coming down, just make one more play than the other team.
16:44You don't need style points here.
16:45But, also, the talk about the entire previous week was, you know, this is a team that wasn't really used to winning it outside of this year.
16:51The past two years, not great records.
16:53You're firing coaches.
16:54You're trying to break in a new quarterback.
16:55The expectations, Adam, coming into this game was the Patriots should walk away an easy winner because Stidham is the quarterback.
17:01That wasn't the case.
17:02They met adversity and they won the game.
17:05Yeah, it certainly was not an easy win, which, you know, you almost have to pick a lane, right?
17:10You know, for all of us, and I'm on this list, you know, one of the leaders of the pack that was skeptical of the Broncos' defense and calling it, you know, somewhat fraudulent, underachieved in the second half of the year, you know, is underwhelmed here in the playoffs.
17:23You have to say, okay, either you give the Broncos their due and acknowledge, wait a minute, this is a great top five defense.
17:29Or the Patriots' offense just has not been very good here in the postseason.
17:34And, you know, I'd like to meet somewhere in the middle and say that the weather obviously had an impact on this game, but more so in the second half.
17:43The first half, the weather was not an issue, and the Patriots' offense still looked terrible.
17:46So, yeah, you know, I think I enter into this game against another elite defensive unit there for Seattle and say, Drake may, despite the fact, like you said, in the MVP conversation, he and that offense, Josh McDaniels overseeing them as the OC, they've got a little something to prove here in the Super Bowl.
18:04Because the offense did not look great against the Chargers, it did not look great against the Texans, and it certainly did not look great against the Broncos.
18:11Now, you can obviously say, as many have screamed, well, it's three top five defenses, how good do you expect to look?
18:18And that's fine, that's fair, but you still need to do more than just kind of make a key play in the second half as the game moves along.
18:28At least, I expect to see that.
18:30Like, I would have thought the Patriots would put up 20-plus points against the Broncos and, you know, be well out in front and on the way to a relatively easy win, as you talked about, before, you know, all of the last quarter, quarter and a half blizzard, you know, that we saw was endured out there on the field.
18:48But something isn't clicking, whether it's the game calling, the execution, you know, I don't know.
18:54I'm curious to see what it looks like, though.
18:56But the Seahawks, if nothing else, and Joe and I talked about this during the show on Sunday, they look vulnerable defensively, more so than I would have expected.
19:04That, to me, was kind of the biggest thing to come out of that Seahawks-Rams game that really surprised me.
19:09It was, you know, I know the Rams have a great offense with another MVP candidate, even favorite in Matthew Stafford, and obviously Puka Nakua is incredible, and Kyra Williams played core of their solid tandem out of the backfield.
19:21But, you know, the way they were going up and down the field, scoring almost at ease against that Seahawks defense, the vaunted defense, that surprised me.
19:29That kind of gave me hope that maybe we will see some points in this game, whereas I would have thought otherwise you'd get something of a defensive rock fight.
19:37So, we did that game, and the thing that stuck out to us was the lack of rushing attempts by Seattle, and the Rams were a top-five defense against the run.
19:52They were beatable in the secondary.
19:54It feels in a lot of aspects it's the same situation here where Sam Darnold is going to be asked to drop back and have to throw the ball.
20:02I saw, and I couldn't believe it, but I saw, once again, Kenneth Walker's rushing number at 77 1⁄2 yards.
20:10You're not rushing on New England.
20:12You weren't rushing on the Rams.
20:14You're not rushing on New England, are you?
20:16Well, historically, the answer to that would be no, not with a healthy Milton Williams and Robert Spillane.
20:21I know there was the stretch there of a handful of games at the end of the regular season where the Patriots, conversely, couldn't stop the run, and guys are going off against them, but that's because they weren't healthy.
20:29You know, as long as their guys in the trenches have come back and available as, you know, they have here in the playoffs in the last, you know, game or two of the regular season, whatever it was, they've looked like the team that they did throughout most of the year, which, to your point, elite against the run.
20:44I think one of the, you know, key differentials here in this game versus, you know, what it looked like against the Rams is, you know, I don't think Walker.
20:54I think Walker's going to be, you know, effective, obviously, out of the backfield as a pass catcher, but no, I mean, if he eclipses 50 rushing yards, that's going to surprise me a little bit.
21:03So where I think the Patriots are going to find an edge in this game, that doesn't mean they're going to win.
21:08I'd like to believe personally that they're going to win.
21:10That's how I'm going to be invested.
21:12But, you know, where I do think they have an edge is, you know, a guy like Matthew Stafford, had they gone against him, he's tremendous.
21:19He's good against the Blitz, pressure, all of that.
21:22Sam Darnold, and I'm not going to go back to the well of the whole sees ghost thing, but, you know, the numbers bear themselves out.
21:29The guy, when he has a clean pocket, is completing three quarters of the pass attempts that he tries.
21:36You know, when he's under pressure, it's like 52% this season.
21:40He does not handle pressure well.
21:41C.J. Stroud does not handle pressure well.
21:44Jarrett Stidham does not handle pressure well.
21:46So, you know, there is an avenue here for the Patriots' defense to make life for the quarterback very difficult.
21:53And so, I don't know if Sam Darnold himself is going to be the one to be able to beat the Patriots, unless JSN goes nuclear, which you can never rule out.
22:03This is the offensive player of the year.
22:05Two manageable numbers here from each one of the quarterbacks here.
22:08Drake May listed at 224.5 as his passing prop, and Sam Darnold 227.5.
22:12Something to watch early in these practice reports.
22:14Drake May, a little bit of smoke, or maybe banged up his shoulder.
22:17And also, Sam Darnold was still getting wrapped up on his oblique during that football game live.
22:22Oh, we got two weeks to ponder.
22:23Adam Kaufman and the New England Patriots back in the Super Bowl.
22:27Thanks for joining us this morning.
22:28We'll be right back after this break.
