00:00New England and Denver. Drake May taking on Jared Siddham. No longer Bo Nix. Why?
00:04Because as you know, he broke his ankle in last week's game, the second to last play
00:08of that victory against the Buffalo Bills. But this line, Joe, was five and a half yesterday.
00:13It now sits at four and a half at just about every outlet across the board.
00:1842 and a half as a total, Joe. And we keep the people updated on the weather conditions.
00:23Getting colder by the day. We're now into the teens at kickoff, Joe.
00:27No precipitation, but winds starting to spike around 10 miles per hour.
00:32Colder conditions, line moving. What's your spread line for this game this weekend?
00:36Talked to my friends in the risk rooms there yesterday, Donnie. And believe it or not,
00:42the only real scheme and the only real respected betting money that they have seen so far
00:49is in this game's total. Because a lot of these places opened up 40 and a half, 41, 41 and a half.
00:57And the only movement, the only real money that they have seen come in on this game so far
01:02is in the total. So even though it's getting a little colder, there doesn't appear to be
01:08any sort of issue as far as the things that cause problems. Like it's going to be super windy,
01:13or it's going to be raining sideways, or there's four feet. None of that. So there appears to be
01:20a consensus in the market among the professional bettors that that number was too low to begin with,
01:25Donnie. And they keep betting the over money. For the most part, the side, what you see is what
01:30you're going to get. This is not going to fluctuate any more or any less than the four and a half to
01:36five and a half, Donnie.
01:37And a storyline that's going to come out this week, already starting to come out, Joe. They
01:42interview the players, the beat writers do for the Denver Broncos. Every one of them acting like
01:46Jared Stidham is Tom Brady. You just haven't seen him just yet. I knew that was going to take place
01:50and look at that line starting to go lower and lower. We'll see where it ends up at the end of
01:54the week. Let's take a look at the Rams and Seattle Seahawks, Joe. Two and a half, still the viable
01:58spot out here as that line starts to settle. We don't know if we're going to get the three or two,
02:03but a total of 46 and a half, which is down from 47 and a half. You know what information I didn't
02:09want to hear yesterday from the Seattle Seahawks on the first day they were eligible to practice?
02:13Sam Darnold, limited out there, trying to protect that oblique. That could play into this game's
02:18situation. What's your spread line here on a Thursday, Joe, now that we're seeing Darnold
02:21limited in action? Well, it's interesting. Again, this was another game, 46 and a half,
02:27we saw as an opener total. And according to the guys in the back rooms that
02:32it's really been, if anything, more total money than side money so far. They are not anticipating
02:39this ever getting to three, Donnie. And it makes sense because three is such a key number in the
02:46NFL that the minute it does hit three, it will likely, it'll be gobbled up. It'll be back down
02:52to two and a half. If anything, the prevailing consensus is that they are likely, as those reports
02:58happen, Donnie, over the next day or so, we are likely to see more Ram money come in than we are
03:04Seattle money. Keep an eye on any of those headlines and news with Sam Darnold. Either which way,
03:12two, two and a half is likely what we're going to be looking at here on kickoff.
03:17As the world turns, specifically in the NFL, day after day, guys are getting new jobs here. OCs,
03:22DCs, and head coaches, but still a lot to be determined as we work through the process. One of
03:27those teams, the Arizona Cardinals, not a great ownership group to work for, but it is one of
03:3132 jobs you're going to take because it's going to be a high-paying job. And maybe you don't ever
03:36get a chance at a head coaching job. You got to strike while the iron is hot. The Arizona Cardinals
03:39are going to bring in Jaguars defensive coordinator, Anthony Campanelli, for a second in-person interview
03:44tomorrow for head coach. He's flying in. So today, he's supposed to have that interview set up,
03:49had a solid defense in Jacksonville. Maybe Arizona goes defense again out in the desert, Joe.
03:54I, okay. Uh, what are you going to do with Kyler Murray? Move the needle. Exactly. Yeah. I, I mean,
04:01what are you, your issues are twofold in Arizona. You have an ownership group in which the players
04:08every year vote as the worst in the league. And now you have a lame duck quarterback who clearly
04:16is, has no interest in winning football games or doing anything other than playing PlayStation. So
04:21they've got a ton of issues there, but if it is your first, you know, hurrah into head coaching,
04:27congrats, but be careful what you wish for here, because that is not a great situation.
04:33Yeah. How do you get him off the games? Right. Is what it is. Are you practicing? Like,
04:36are you watching your film at home? Yeah, I'm doing that. I remember back in the day,
04:39late 1980s with the Eagles, with Randall Cunningham, wasn't studying his film. So they used to send you
04:44home with the projector tape, like that big wheel. And they put a piece of tape in there only like two or
04:49three minutes into it. Randall brought the tape back the next day and said, Hey, how was it?
04:53It was fantastic. Broke the entire game down. They wound it through. The tape was still in there.
04:57It did not fall out. So we didn't watch it at all. It feels like that's what you got to do with
05:00Kyler Murray. Like, did you play call of duty last night? Or did you actually watch film? Maybe
05:04defensive coordinator shouldn't be the right decision that you make as a head coach, but still
05:08a lot of things up in the air for Arizona. How about the Buccaneers? They finalized their
05:12offensive coordinator position with Zach Robinson, who also interviewed for the Philadelphia Eagles
05:16open offensive coordinator, a big push from Baker Mayfield. He's part of the Shanahan tree,
05:21Zach Robinson. And he finds himself in Tampa. Yeah. Again, I mean, some smart decisions by some,
05:29by some teams that needed to make some changes, right? Donnie. And a lot of these will fly under
05:35the radar, but yeah, I would expect some different results from a few teams, but you got it. Coaching
05:42matters in the NFL, Donnie, especially with the, it's so hard to replace coordinators,
05:48good coordinators. So they're just as important. A lot of times, just ask Dan Campbell in Detroit,
05:54how he's doing or your Eagles on how easy it is to replace coordinators. Good ones. Anyway.
06:00How about Raheem Morris? Very good defensive coordinator. Not so great as a head coach.
06:05I'm going to pick the spot for him right now. He said he's waiting out head coaching chances.
06:08He's not going to get one of those, you know, he's going to wind up in San Francisco with Kyle
06:12Shanahan. That's the MO. And that's a great move for the 49ers. If they can get Raheem Morris
06:17and good for him. I mean, there are, you know, work for Salah, right? I mean, you'll, you'll be on
06:22the front page. You'll have a healthy Warner and Bosa next year to work with. You got a lot of pieces
06:28there. So provided they can move that practice field away from substation, they'll be just fine in the
06:3449ers. How about the bills requesting an interview with Jaguars offensive coordinator,
06:38Grant Udinski for their head coaching job. Is this guy the hottest thing since sliced bread,
06:42a 30 year old, if he doesn't wind up getting a head coaching spot, well, who was light in the flame
06:47for this guy, even getting these interviews at this point, but usually where there's smoke,
06:50there's fire. It's probably going to get one of these jobs. Could it be the bills at 30 years old?
06:54Yeah. So you're, you're a franchise quarterback and MVP is 30. So you're going to hire a dude that
07:02is the same age and less experienced than he has. Yeah. This is not going to work. It's nice. I think
07:09everyone's interviewing for the next cycle, but very unlikely to get a head coaching job this turn.
07:15How about the Falcons are expected to hire former Browns offensive coordinator, Tommy Reese as a new OC
07:20for Kevin Stefanski. Hey, wait, have we seen that before? Reese in Cleveland with, you know,
07:25already Stefanski. Now he just moves them along comfortability. Sometimes the name of the game,
07:29Tommy Reese goes to the Atlanta Falcons as the OC. Not a shock here, right? Only this time it looks
07:37like, well, he's still got a quarterback situation there that they're going to have to figure out
07:41in Atlanta, but Stefanski he's, he's surrounding himself with his, with the right people and his people.
07:47Here's what you can't do, Joe. When you fire a head coach, like Sean McDermott,
07:53hire a guy who's one of his underlings as the offensive coordinator. It's almost like once
07:57you fire that coach, yes, you're going to interview some of those guys. You can't hire from within.
08:01Is it an upgrade when you already had the coach on your staff, but you didn't win as is go out
08:06the building. It makes much more sense. Joe Brady interviewing for the Buffalo bills head coach.
08:11I, you said it nothing that they have done over the last three days makes any sense. Uh, and now
08:19if you're going to, and listen, you don't want to lose Joe Brady and I get it, but then you probably
08:23shouldn't have fired McDermott, uh, because it just sends the wrong message. And I don't know that
08:28anything changes. And by the way, who's going to be the GM now anyway, if you get a bump from being
08:33man, Buffalo is an absolute mess right now. Let's get down to the business. People having some fun
08:39on a Thursday morning edition of the early line right here on the sports grid network. Donnie
08:43writes that along with Joe Renier, let's welcome in Adam Kaufman here. We got big doings this week.
08:47And I got to ask you this question right off the bat. Welcome in, of course, but also
08:51the expectations in new England now are super bowl or bust. Apparently it's amazing that we got
09:00to that place for sure. You know, going into the post season, there was a little bit of sort of that
09:05house money angle for fans where it's, they've already wildly overachieved, right? They go from four
09:10wins to 14 in large part because of the schedule. I'm not running away from that, but looking like you
09:15got some real building blocks at head coach, Mike Vrabel, an MVP candidate in Drake May. You wanted to
09:21kind of validate the season with that first game against the Chargers, especially being a home
09:25favorite. They go out strong defensive performance. May has his issues, but nevertheless,
09:30they win the game rather easily, then it's okay. The Texans are coming to town.
09:34CJ Stroud, he hasn't been great, but this team has won 10 in a row, though. It's down its top
09:39weapon and Nico Collins, but you got the number one defense in the NFL on the other side. Let's go
09:44out and have a competitive game, but oh, again, home favorite in the playoffs. So really you should
09:49take care of business and they do ultimately going away. Now, I think a lot of people would have been
09:55content, satisfied, not, you know, certainly walking around with the pitchforks or anything
10:02like that if New England went out and lost in Denver, given the fact that one, Broncos number
10:08one overall seed, two, you know, this team is, you know, just the city, mile high, that stadium.
10:13It's been a house of horrors for the Patriots historically. New England 0-4 in the playoffs in
10:18Denver. You know, winning there is something Tom Brady and Bill Belichick never did in their three
10:23chances. Could May and Vrabel actually get that job done? But then of course you get the news that
10:28Bo Nix is done with that fractured ankle. And so it's going to be Jared Stidham, the former Patriot,
10:35who's going to be under center for the Broncos, who hasn't thrown an NFL pass since 2023. And yeah,
10:40you move the goalposts a little bit to where you really, especially as being guys, I'm sure you've
10:47talked about this, the biggest road favorite in a conference finals game since the merger going back
10:54to 1970. In the Super Bowl era, there's never been a bigger road favorite at this stage of the
11:00postseason. New England had better go out and win that game. So yeah, the Broncos defense, it's another
11:05top five defense. No team is in a playoff run ever beaten three consecutive or three total top five
11:12defenses. The Pats have already knocked off the Chargers, the Texans, and now Denver's up next. And
11:16New England should win this game. We should be talking again next week about the Super Bowl
11:21against one of these tough teams from the NFC West. Now we're easy to go from the hunter to the
11:28hunted, but New England has managed to do that in one season, in the same season. It's kind of
11:33absolutely crazy here. But the thing that interests me here, Adam, is the fact that of all the big moves
11:40that we have seen so far in these two remaining games, the total in this game is the one that has
11:46moved the most and has gotten the most respected money because it's moving to the over. So if
11:53Denver is the top defense, where are the points coming from here? What does that say about the
11:59kind of game that we're expecting here? Well, I think there were a lot of people that were surprised
12:04in that Texans game that we got an over. I personally, I'm sure you guys too, expected a game
12:10that was going to be a little more like the Chargers game, where it was kind of a rock fight,
12:13lower scoring. We talked about it going in, but the weather, the fact they were playing in miserable
12:18conditions there in the snow, and there were like 95 turnovers between the two teams leading to
12:23short fields, it tacked on some points. And so I think there's an element of recency bias there
12:29where people say, well, if the Patriots put up, you know, damn near 30 points against the top defense
12:34in the NFL, surely against a struggling Broncos defense that has been, you know, lit up by Josh
12:41Allen, just put up 30 points, obviously, in that controversial overtime loss, you know, allowed
12:46Trevor Lawrence to go off against them and all these other teams in the second half of the year,
12:51we should get some points. I think that's one of the things that I feel like I'm consistently
12:55having to remind people is that the Broncos, yes, metrically total defense, top five for the year.
13:01But what kind of gets ignored here, guys, is that defense was superb, excellent the first half of
13:09the year, and the second half of the year, including the two playoff games or one playoff game for Denver,
13:14actually kind of average in terms of the EPA. I think maybe 13th or so in the NFL. It's not been
13:21nearly what it was in the front half of the year. Now, it does bring an excellent pass rush. That's not
13:26going to be ideal for Drake May, certainly, and he's going to have his challenges. But, you know,
13:32I think Ramondre Stevenson and Travion Henderson should be able to run all over this team. We just saw it
13:36with James Cook. I just don't think it's that imposing, even on the road, unless the altitude and
13:42elevation and all of that is going to be an issue. So I think, you know, long-winded answer short, I think
13:48what's built up the total, what's risen the number, Joe, is the fact that, you know, people are looking at
13:53Denver and saying, this isn't the same old Denver Broncos defense. You know, the Patriots should go
13:56out there and score points. And, you know, Jared Stidham, he's got to be, you know, better or at
14:02least comparable to what Justin Herbert and C.J. Stroud were, right? Like, how can you be worse?
14:07So I think we are going to get points in this game. I'll tell you what I do like about this,
14:11and I expected it yesterday from the locker room of the Denver Broncos. They're actually basically
14:15telling you they are better off with Jared Stidham than Bo Nix with the glowing praise,
14:19and he's Tom Brady, and you should see what he does to our first team defense when he's running
14:24scout team. I get that. But I want to get a quick take here on game number two on Sunday from you as
14:28well, Adam. The Rams are going to take on Seattle. The worst case scenario for me, if I wanted to take
14:33the Seahawks, was practice number one, seeing Sam Darnold limited. Practice number one, he was limited
14:38here. That line sits at two and a half. How do we play this out in your mind with Sam Darnold,
14:43who still might not be 100% where last week, they didn't need him against the 49ers. They're going to need
14:48him against the Rams. Joe and I were joking going into our show. You didn't know if Sam Darnold was
14:53going to play in that game. Is it going to be true? Guys, I don't think I'm in this crazy minority
15:01here. I like the Rams to win this game. You had two very narrow games during the regular season,
15:0721-19 of survival by the Rams and the Seahawks with a majestic late comeback win in overtime in that
15:13game that produced about 1,000 total yards and almost 80 points. These teams have played each other
15:18very even during the regular season. And usually it's Seattle that has to come back with these
15:23heroics. If Sam Darnold's not going to be himself or even close to it, and they're already down Zach
15:28Charbonnet and have Kenneth Walker, who obviously is very good, but still that team operates even
15:33better with a two tandem back. I think that ultimately the Rams do win this game. Patriots-Rams
15:40round three in the Super Bowl. Should be, could be. We'll see what happens, but it is kind of fun.
15:46Look, you need breaks to win championships during the season. New England just might be getting that
15:50great break, pun intended, from Bo Nix. Thanks for joining us this morning, Adam. Next up, we're
15:56going to get to those calcium-poly markets. Actually, you don't want to miss out, people.
16:01I can make you some money this morning. Enough to make, or enough to get you, I should say,
16:05a cup of coffee. I'm the only right side. It's Joe Ranieri. Joe, would you be impressed if I was able to
16:10show you free money on a transaction right now in a predictive market that would get you a cup of coffee,
16:15maybe over the next week or so? Would you do it? I would absolutely.
16:21Absolutely. So let's have some, let's have some fun and get to the knowledge that you need right
16:24now. We've been telling you this morning, hey, look, Brian Flores is going back to the Minnesota
16:29Vikings as their defensive coordinator. So the Pittsburgh Steelers are still open to getting
16:33a head coaching spot. Chris Shull is the favorite right now at 49%. But if you go to Calci right now
16:39and you slide down, Brian Flores is still trading at 3%, which means the no is 97%. You can still put
16:46wagers on that. You can still invest in that number. A $100 wager would pay back 104. Donnie,
16:52that's ridiculous. You already know the answer to the test, Joe, and you could still make an investment
16:57into it. How about that? Donnie, there are very few locks in this industry, right? But that might be
17:07as close to a lock as you are going to get, Donnie. And I like it. I got a cup of coffee waiting with
17:14my name on it. There you go. By the way, Chris Shull, a 49% chance to be that Pittsburgh head coach.
17:19Looks like it's trending in that direction. Joe, there's no way they go McCarthy, right? I'm almost
17:24willing to say to myself, just out of a hate investment, $100 pays back 121 on McCarthy not
17:30being the head coach of the Steelers. It seems like he's the anti-Steelers coach that you would
17:34put on a poster. No? You know, and he continues to get support from former Pittsburgh Steelers.
17:41And, you know, there is where there's smoke, there's fire. And I hate that. I hate to say it,
17:48but it might make sense because the Steelers are going to have to go through a regrowth here,
17:53Donnie, at some point. So, you know, if Aaron Rodgers is the only available option,
17:58then who better than Mike McCarthy to convince him to come back?
18:03I think we got a heavenly spot for you right now, Joe, setting up. And the reason is because
18:07I know you like contracts to the know. Just bet all the know and have some fun with it.
18:12Which pro football coaches will be out before September? That's this September.
18:16You know who's in the lead? Andy Reid. You know who's next? Brian Schottenheimer,
18:20Sean McVeigh, Zach Taylor, Dan Campbell. So, understanding that they would get fired for
18:24something, I guess, that they would do off the field because typically none of these coaches
18:28are going to get moved on from now with 10 spots that were open. They would have already been fired.
18:33Joe, taking the know right down the list. Like, you know, some people vote Democrat,
18:37just go right down the line of Republican, right down the line. Joe, this seems like a dream scenario,
18:42investing right down the line on those paying dividends.
18:44You know, Donnie, prior to the last, I don't know, five months, that would have been the easiest
18:52call in the world. But, you know, we have two-thirds of the NFL looking for a new head coach
18:59right now, Donnie. I don't know. We even just got a coach fired after he made it out of the wild
19:07card to a divisional round game and lost because of a horrific call by the reps. And yet, he's out of
19:14I don't know. Anything it feels like with these billionaire owners is possible here. And who
19:21knows? Maybe. And it's fired, right? It's not stepped down. It's fired, right?
19:28Correct. Like, the coaches that will be out.
19:30So, it's not like health reasons. Yeah. Right. It's not health reasons I have to step down before.
19:36No. Anything is possible, Donnie. And I give up with the NFL and these owners.
19:42Now, hear me out on this one, Joe, because this is fun. Like, usually I tell you, like,
19:46if you invest $100, right? Which were the common man out here. If you had a free million dollar
19:52investment on Calshi, Ben Johnson is trading at no at 99 cents here. You would actually make
19:59$10,100 if you had a million dollars. Like, honestly, I don't have a million dollars to do
20:04that with. But if you have money, like Ben Johnson getting fired or leaving the spot in Chicago would
20:10shock me. You're going to be up $10,000 by September, Joe.
20:16It's, those are the head scrapping. So, you only would have to tie up the money till September,
20:22right? So, that's basically all you. So, there's worse things, I guess, you could do with a million
20:29dollars, right? Are you ready for some football? You could tell by my voice. I might have been
20:33cheering for the Philadelphia Eagles still a little bit too loudly a few weeks back and my voice just
20:38hasn't recovered yet. Or you could feel I'm under the weather and taking one for the team because
20:42I don't ever leave a man behind like my guy, Joe Ranieri. We're here for two hours. Your boy DRS
20:47is here for two hours. But I'll tell you, three hours on Sunday, that's going to divide the AFC
20:52championship winner from the loser and a new quarterback in Jared Stidham. Let's hear what the
20:57Broncos think. Yeah, look, I mean, this is not about myself. First of all, I want to, obviously,
21:05my thoughts and prayers have been with Bo since, since Saturday night. I mean, it's, it's crushing
21:11because he's one of your, he's one of my best friends. And Sam and I were talking about this,
21:17like Sam and I probably spend more time with him than his wife does right now. And that's just the
21:21nature of the business that we're in. You know, when, when training camp starts, like, that's just
21:25how it is. Like I see Bo more than I see my kids, you know? So it's just one of those things you spend
21:31so much time with someone, you see how hard they work, how good of a teammate they are. And then that
21:37happens and you just, you feel crushed, you know, for him and everything. So yeah, I just, my, my,
21:44obviously my prayers and stuff have been with him. So two things out of that, Jared Stidham is going to
21:49take over starting quarterback. We know that, but Drake may and Bo Nix too young to get married,
21:53Joe, your take on that. Yeah. I, yeah. I mean, you know how my take is on that. Uh, Donnie,
22:00no reason to, uh, to run and get the law involved. Uh, I'm thinking that I think, listen, he has been
22:07there and he has done this before. So this is not his first rodeo by any stretch. And this is why
22:14coaching matters in the NFL. Uh, listen, I don't think that Sean Payton is going to ask him or put
22:20him in a spot to not maximize what he can do and what he knows. The question is, can everybody else
22:27elevate their game? But I mean, he knows what his job is. He knows what his role is. He's not trying
22:33to steal a spotlight. Everybody in Denver is saying the right things right now, Donnie.
22:39No, they are saying the right things right now. And again, it's kind of funny, the hype,
22:42you expect this. The only guy that never got the hype was Trey Lance for the 49ers.
22:46Nobody ever said a good thing about that guy at any time. So you always like, Oh, he must be
22:49really bad, but it was no surprise where a guy with eight career touchdown passes and eight career
22:54interceptions is now being treated as like, this guy's never been ready before. He's the best backup
22:59quarterback in the league. We'll find out on Sunday if that's the case with Joe five and a half down
23:04the four and a half. Some people must be buying into that though. Absolutely. I mean, listen,
23:10there's a lot at play and this is, it's very easy to fall into that trap that, Oh boy, you know,
23:17I mean, Bo Nix is out now. Guys, Bo Nix is a second year quarterback who's accomplished nothing
23:23in this league. It's not like you lost Tom Brady in his heyday. It's, I mean, it's not like Peyton
23:29Manning went down. It's everyone needs to slow the roll on what the expectations is. It, is it
23:36awful? Yes. But is it to the point where you're taking on another second year young quarterback
23:42with a team that's overachieved? Should we really be expecting blowout on the road in a conference
23:48championship? Yeah, I would slow the roll here. Temperatures getting colder and colder for that
23:55game too, Joe. Let's take a look at the superstar wide receivers top of the heap. Cortland Sutton
23:5949 and a half is his player prop numbers. Stefan digs 44 and a half. Both of those guys, the leader in
24:05the clubhouse with the highest totals for receiving yards. If I gave you one of these wide outs to back
24:10at both of their numbers, who would that wide receiver be Joe? Between Sutton and digs. I got to
24:17believe Sutton. I think Sutton is going to listen. If it's the one thing that Denver Bo Nix did him,
24:25you, me, whoever's on the center, that is one of the best pass blocking offensive lines in the NFL.
24:31Nix was not under any pressure this year. That is a great pass blocking offensive line, which means
24:38they're going to ask Stidham to get the ball into the hands of their playmakers. And there is no better
24:43playmaker than Sutton. So I think, yeah, I think he's going to see a lot of balls thrown his way here
24:50this weekend. A little bit banged up at wide receiver for Denver. So maybe not as many options. And also
24:55when you're a backup quarterback, what's your best friend? The top receiver, just throw me the
24:59football and I'll handle the rest. The Rams taking on Seattle in the 630 NFC championship game on
25:04Sunday, that total 47 and a half. Now down to 46 and a half after a day that we got a Sam Darnold
25:09injury report that says he's going to be limited. They're not saying it's basically, Hey, he's
25:14injured. We just want to be precautionary. Come on now. The betting market see that as well.
25:19That line staying at two and a half. Yeah. And again, I think depending on the narrative and what
25:27we learn or don't learn about Sam Darnold, as we get closer to kickoff, we'll determine whether or
25:32not this actually gets to two or maybe even one and a half before it's all said and done.
25:38Top wide outs for this game, Joe, much different playing field than what I just told you about
25:43in the forties for both Cortland Sutton and also taking a look at Stefan Diggs. Puka Nakua, 91 and
25:49a half is his receiving prop. Jackson Smith and Jigba, 89 and a half. This is simple to me. I know
25:55Seattle is the better defense, but I have the more healthy quarterback and take a look at Stafford as
25:59compared to Darnold. The 91 and a half sounds better to me or does it, Joe? JSN's 89 and a half to you.
26:05I don't think JSN is going to be is going to have this over the world game here. I would look to fade
26:13those numbers simply because are we really expecting him to be able to what explosive plays? I don't
26:21think so. The second half of the year, all Jackson Smith and Jigba did was, you know, crossing routes
26:27and quick seven yard outs. He didn't have those long explosive plays like he did in the first half.
26:33But defenses have adjusted. The Rams have already played them twice. They're not going to let them
26:39beat them over the top. And I'm not sure Sam Darnold can throw the ball that far here. Donnie,
26:45that's the other big question. So I would only look at Nakua thinking he's got the better shot
26:50at overs here in this game. By the way, secondary options. Devontae Adams is 49 and a half, but also
26:57Cooper Cup, who we get confused sometimes with Cooper flag. He's 29 and a half. He's that short to
27:02intermediate target that had some success against the 49ers when Darnold was coming in the game
27:06banged up or maybe Joe Rashid's the heat's 23 and a half. That used to be one catch and done in the
27:12Orleans. Not really the case this year with Seattle so far. Yeah, I kind of like it, Donnie. I like that
27:18look for him. I thought he was great in that game and he fits that mold, right? That kind of take what
27:24the defense gives you move the chains, keep going. And yeah, easy targets, quick throws. Don't let Sam
27:31Darnold. How many hits is he going to be able to take in this game with the oblique injury? That's
27:36my question here, Donnie. It is maybe a decent teaser Sunday as well. Joe, could you see the
27:41Denver Broncos getting 10 and a half at home against the New England Patriots and then taking
27:45the Rams eight and a half on the road against the Seahawks? How about a teaser cook up for you,
27:50Jonas weekend? It's very interesting, Donnie, right? Maybe a little same game teaser. We get,
27:58we get the Rams up over what? Eight and a half. We get them too. And then you can look at the total
28:04depending on how many points, maybe jack it up six points and get the under 53 and a half. Might
28:10not be a bad look. Might not be a bad look. Super Bowl MVP. By the way, did I see a tweet going around
28:16yesterday, either from Polymarket or Calci that somebody unloaded on the no for Jared Stidham to be
28:22the MVP of the Super Bowl, which means if he loses this week, you cash that ticket. If he plays in the
28:28Super Bowl next week and they win and he doesn't win MVP, you still cash that ticket. He's 19 to one.
28:33I wouldn't be looking at direction, but Joe, those predictive markets, you can bet the nose on these,
28:38which I think is fascinating. Which is also great, but understand guys here in a big, this is your final
28:44chance to hedge who you think is going to win. So if you think Seattle's winning at all,
28:50then that you ain't getting Sam Darnold at plus 250 when Seattle wins this game and moves on. So
28:56now is your last time to hedge in and get these, get these at the best numbers possible because
29:02it ain't going to happen once these teams win and we know who's in.
29:06Joe, the favorite in the clubhouse to win MVP of the Super Bowl is Sam Darnold. The beginning of
29:12the season, not too many people were thinking that. And you know who's in third in line? Drake made a
29:16plus 310 price. Absolutely insanity. But that's where we find ourselves right now. For me,
29:21maybe Kenneth Walker, 17 to one price. Now they have Charbonneau down, like they win this week as
29:26a big Super Bowl. I can see something like that. Usually as a quarterback award, Joe,
29:30but a running back might make some sense for Seattle.
29:34Yes, absolutely. Or, and depending on who you think is they're going to be facing,
29:38will depend on whether it's a running back or a wide receiver. I think.
29:42I saw you guys talking about the Super Bowl. You're so right. That's Walker pick guys. If
29:48you like the Seattle Seahawks, Walker at that price is unreal. He's going to be the main feature
29:52back. He does it all in open space. That's crazy. Sam Darnold at plus 250. If he went,
29:56that number is nuts, but guys also Shahid. He's one of these guys. We've seen how electrifying he can be
30:02the punt return versus the Rams to get them back into the game. And then to start the game against the
30:0649ers, a couple of gadget plays, anything that happened with a Super Bowl MVP. And those guys,
30:11those odds for Smith and Jigba too. Are you kidding me? Like say the guy has a couple,
30:15like 180 yards and a couple of touchdowns. I know they might give it to Darnold, but we'll see.
30:20I think those odds are absolutely crazy guys. One prop for this week too. Shahid rushes over.
30:26He's actually doing a lot of trick plays. They have rushing attempts over 0.5. Yes. And I like his
30:31rushing yards too. I think he's going to be one of these guys. You know what I'm saying? Donnie,
30:35it's one of these sneaky plays and the rounds tricks. He's going to be a part of the thing without
30:39Sherbenet. Seattle's going to have to come up with some concepts and watching all their games.
30:43Shahid is going to be a part of this game. He's getting more and more into the offense. And I
30:47think he's a huge play this week and guys, I'm taking the points with Denver. I don't care who's
30:52quarterbacking. I don't know how you guys feel about this with Stidham there, but I'm seeing five
30:56and a half on FanDuel. Like, no, I'm not, I'm not laying it with new England. I know he's a backup
31:00quarterback. You're going into mile high and you're getting points guys. I don't know how you feel,
31:03but it could be an overreaction. So I'm on the Broncos, uh, to cover the number two.
31:08Tell them Joe, what do you think?
31:11I mean, listen, I just feel like this is one of those situations where could we get not one,
31:19but both dogs barking here, Cam. Is it possible that we could have both dogs barking in a championship
31:26where it isn't home field supposed to matter? Uh, do you think that we're going to get a field
31:33goal here with Seattle at some point? Do you think we're going to get enough money?
31:36I'm going to be honest with you, Joe. We've done the show when people I respect and everybody,
31:40like a lot of smart guys, like the Rams, it's tough for Seattle. They were, they, the first game,
31:44they got absolutely like they came back, but they were, uh, Darnold threw four interceptions
31:49that game. The last game, they needed a miracle comeback, you know, and it started with that
31:52Shahid return, maybe three, three, three times the charm. The 49ers were beat up, like absolutely
31:57ravaged. The Rams are a really good team. They don't have to play in weather. I'm a Seattle fan,
32:01so I'm biased. I think they can win this game, but I'm very, very scared. I think the NFC
32:05representative is way better than anybody in the NFC. The winner of the Rams Seattle game should win
32:08the Superbowl guys. That's what I'm thinking of it. Cam, are you at all worried about Darnold?
32:14Is it more of that? They're just playing this extra cautious and he should be okay to throw 35
32:17times this weekend. I am. I'm worried Donnie, because now he doesn't have to throw for 150 yards
32:22against the Rams. If the game's close, he's going to have to make plays. So no interceptions. He made a
32:26couple of plays. That's the problem. He didn't need to throw before. Now he's going to have to. So
32:30no interceptions, read the zones and go to Barner. Your big tight end, I think will be an
32:34X factor in this game as well. Yeah. I don't think Barner even had a catch in that last game. He's
32:38going to need to be more impactful, but I'll tell you who is impactful. It's our guy, Cam Stewart,
32:42always bringing the heat. Thanks for joining us, Cam. And we will be back after this short break.
32:47A lot of teams are already into their off season. Well, heck, there's only four teams left playing
32:50in their season with them. We're going to decide only two more once we hit Monday morning,
32:55and that'll be the Superbowl here. The tush push question, Joe, when to get back to the
32:59predictive markets, banned for 2026, a 38% chance. And by the way, if we were trading back just a few
33:07short days ago on the 17th, it was at a 62% chance. Now it's dropped to 38%. And by the way,
33:13did you know the one team that hated it the most was probably the Buffalo Bills who ran it the most
33:18with Josh Allen? Do we think this gets banned, Joe?
33:21No, I, I, cause I think it's, it's old news now, right at this point, because it hasn't,
33:28the Eagles are the face of the tush push and where are they Donnie? Well, they're in the need of an
33:34offensive coordinator that they can't seem to hire anywhere. So it's kind of like anything else in
33:39the NFL. It runs its course, you know, teams will eventually adjust, but it's not like it's this
33:46consistent situation in which it's never been stopped. So I think the worry about it is no
33:53longer top of mind for people. New poly market. Will DRS's voice make it the next four minutes
33:58here to complete a full show trading heavily with over a million bucks right now, Joe, but let's get
34:03to the point of the show. We want to reach out to the people. Here's our fave, the public poll.
34:07At SportsGrid on X is where you'll find us. The question we asked today, which new NFL head coach
34:20will have the best 26, 27 NFL season? Harbaugh, Salah, Stefanski, Haefeli, Joe. The leader is
34:28actually Harbaugh with the Giants. How about that? Well, it better be. I'll tell you that because he,
34:35you know, he takes over a program that has all of the talent, way more talent than what Salah has
34:43here. And both, you know, Salah and Harbaugh, they're going to have top draft picks coming their
34:49way this year as well to bolster. And it's not like the cupboards are bare in Tennessee. I mean,
34:55I would give Salah an outside chance of actually having a lot of success this season. But I think as,
35:02you know, drop them in right now as, as the roster currently constructed, I don't think
35:07anybody has more potential talent than what Harbaugh is walking into with the Giants. So yeah,
35:13I think he should win more games than anybody else.
35:16By the way, Joe, everybody got pink slip basically on that coaching staff with Harbaugh coming in and
35:21Diana Rossini just tweets out Barnes, Ronnie Barnes. He used to be the head athletic trainer for 45 years
35:27with the Giants. He's being moved in the organization as well. So Harbaugh putting his
35:31imprint right away on that coaching staff.
