Former Public Works secretary Manuel Bonoan is on a wheelchair as he leaves the Sandiganbayan Second Division courtroom on June 2, 2026 after the court reset to June 4 his and Sen. Jinggoy Estrada's arraignment on the graft charge over alleged links to the flood control scam. Bonoan's lawyer said the former secretary, whose blood pressure was checked at the court, was not ready for arraignment because of his health condition. Estrada, also present during the scheduled arraignment, has a pending motion—to void the charge, dismiss the case, and, in the alternative, remand the case to the Office of the Ombudsman—which needed to be resolved first.
