00:00It's the Jared Stidham game, right?
00:02I mean, Jared Stidham, how well he plays in this ballgame
00:05is really going to tell us really maybe early on, right, Brady,
00:09on how we're going to look at this whole scenario here.
00:12Yeah, I would say so.
00:14We'll probably get an indication pretty quickly
00:16whether the Jared Stidham game will be a positive, you know, memory
00:20or the Jared Stidham game will be very much a negative memory,
00:23you know, for Broncos backers.
00:25But I think it sets up really well, Dan, for the Denver side.
00:30We were talking about it last night, Adam Kaufman and myself.
00:33If the Patriots win or let's say if the Broncos win today
00:39and go to the Super Bowl, I don't necessarily like their chances
00:43in the Super Bowl.
00:45But today I do like their chances because it's set up really nicely.
00:49Jared Stidham has the best possible scenario you could ask for
00:53for an unfortunate circumstance where Bo Nix, of course, you know,
00:57hurts his ankle and is out for the rest of the year.
00:59He's at home.
01:00He's got a crowd that is going to be absolutely bonkers.
01:03He's got a team now that is going to have to rally the troops.
01:07They know, you know, as a former player, when your star goes down,
01:11it puts everybody on notice.
01:13Okay, guys, we got to bring it up a level because we got to fill the void here.
01:18I think he's going to have every possible scenario available to succeed.
01:22He's got a great coach who I think can design a perfect game plan to just help
01:26him manage things, not get out of his element.
01:30And if he just plays average or above average slightly, doesn't turn the ball over.
01:35I think the rest of the team, the offensive line, the defense,
01:38they're the ones that win this game for Jared Stidham.
01:42Don't you agree that this is one of the reasons why Denver brought Sean Payton to Denver?
01:47He is a problem solver.
01:50He was a problem solver when he had quarterbacks go down in New Orleans.
01:53You know, I had question marks on him when he took this job.
01:57What is he going to look like without Drew Brees?
02:00Well, look what he's done here.
02:01That franchise was on a respirator.
02:04You know, when he took it over, they were in the era of the Russell Wilson,
02:06which was going nowhere.
02:08They were in the middle of transition from the Boland family to the new ownership group.
02:12And he goes in there.
02:14I mean, remember the salary cap hell that they were in as well.
02:18This guy's transformed that franchise.
02:20I mean, this is really going to be a statement potentially also for Sean Payton in this ball game.
02:25Really like overnight, right, Dan?
02:27I mean, it didn't even take him long.
02:29And here he is on the doorstep of the Super Bowl.
02:32And you're right.
02:32I mean, he was so underneath it with the Russell Wilson situation.
02:37And boy, he flipped this thing around in a hurry.
02:39And, you know, I think that kind of gives you confidence in Jared Stidham, too,
02:43because he wanted Bo Nix.
02:45And look what he's done there.
02:47And that's what we've heard all week, you know, is he wanted Jared Stidham as his backup.
02:51So you got to feel, you know, the track record shows that he's pretty good about getting the guys he wants
02:57and doing well with them.
02:59The concern, I believe, is probably the defense, which has slipped in the last six weeks or so.
03:05And you saw him, you know, give up 30 points to the Buffalo Bills.
03:08Again, I think this situation is great because now the defense knows that they better get their act together
03:16and start playing like they did at the beginning of the year versus what they've done for the last handful of weeks.
03:21Because if they play like if they give up 30 points, they're going to lose.
03:25I feel like this it's really the line movement is pretty incredible in this game.
03:31I mean, it opened as high as six, you know, and now we're down to three and a half.
03:35And it's a weak three and a half.
03:37There's juice on the Denver Broncos at three and a half.
03:39And I kind of understand that.
03:42When I crunch my numbers, I come to Denver as a favorite by four and a half.
03:48Now, that doesn't include the adjustment for Stidham.
03:50But how much of an adjustment is there?
03:52Out here in Las Vegas, I know that the general consensus feeling as far as an adjustment for Stidham versus Knicks is about four points.
04:01So that means New England should be about a two point favorite.
04:05So is the line still even off a little bit?
04:08No matter what happens, who wins this game, Dan, I think it's going to be by a field goal either way.
