00:00Wednesday the National Electoral Council of Honduras, the CNE, presented the presidential
00:05credentials to Nasri Asfura, considered by much of the population to be a de facto precedent
00:10imposed by the interests of the United States and drug traffickers. Despite denounces about
00:17the transparency of the elections results the elections of November 30, 2025, the CNE ratified
00:25the controversial victory of the now president. The exclusion of the media during the delivery
00:31of the document has fueled allegations about the legitimacy of this new term, which will follow
00:37the government of Xiomara Castro on January 27th. With a divided Congress and a majority of
00:44municipalities under the control of the right-wing National Party, the country is preparing for a
00:50transition marked by popular rejection and foreign interference.
