00:19so prepared and so focused on this game and the importance and magnitude of this football game
00:26regardless who the quarterback is and not to buy into it's the backup quarterback who's probably
00:34more of a third string quarterback not buying into it like we're buying into it as fans i'm as a fan
00:41my confidence level is through the roof you know but vrabel and the way he's been all season long
00:48and we've seen him do this before with similar games where it was i think it was after they beat
00:55the buffalo bills and then they went to new orleans to play a very crappy new orleans team but he had
01:01those guys completely focused in and not saying hey we're better than we are i feel so good and i
01:09feel so confident that when you look at this football game mike vrabel is going to have these
01:13guys prepared and understanding where they are and what this game means for the journey that they've
01:22been on and they're one game away from the ultimate but to not look past this team because
01:30they now are relying on a quarterback who hasn't played in a long time so i i would say if you're
01:37a pats fan and i know people are like well you know it's stidham they're gonna be looking past nope
01:41vrabel will have those guys ready to go that's why he he deserves and he probably will be coach of the
01:47year because he's getting these guys to buy in and he's gotten them to buy in all season long
01:53is uh the second team that he has brought to a conference championship in six years am i well
02:02i think yeah the titans lost i forget who they lost is he the better coach going in to sunday well you
02:09know this this is interesting because i we talked about it yesterday with um minkovich and then jones and
02:16keith were doing like you know who's got the better quarterback who's got the better d-line all
02:20that kind of stuff and they got down to coaching and they only gave sean payton the edge because he
02:28won the super bowl but very similar to what shine was saying where sean payton had drew breeze and
02:35three years in a row missed the playoffs so i guess the question would become do you didn't we do this
02:41wigs and we both said sean payton over vrabel yeah yeah yeah and i but their theory was you know
02:46like making the argument are you only giving it to sean payton because he won a super bowl
02:51and so i guess maybe that's why you give him the edge well he has a much longer career than mike
02:59vrabel as a head coach and he's a super bowl winning coach so but they were going back and forth
03:05about it and the reason why they gave him the edge and i don't know shine maybe he shine do you give
03:10vrabel the edge over sean payton yes yes okay so very much so yeah and i think maybe i give the edge
03:17to sean payton only because he won the super bowl so maybe i'm falling into the category of
03:23the oh if you've won a championship that's the reason why you're better in my opinion which maybe
03:30is the wrong way to look at it to be fair if the patriots were coached by sean payton and national
03:35people took vrabel over payton we'd say what has he ever won right that's what we'd say right so
03:40we're kind of being homerish if we're not doing that sort of even on the other side right well you
03:45hired a head coach a defensive minded head coach and so it's uh you know i would expect that this
03:53defense which you have talked about a lot as coming on strong here in the playoffs ought to be
03:59uh one of your one of the stronger parts of your game uh right come come sunday so yeah and that and
04:06they went through every position and everything and when you look at it defensively if you would
04:13and they they made a good point they said all right who's got the better d tackles who got the
04:17better defensive ends who got the better linebackers cornerbacks safeties they took vrabel correct
04:23that's what a texter is telling me they said vrabel was was better yeah i think they i think they might
04:29that's why jones had brought up the fact that payton had won a super bowl but i wasn't sure if he
04:34if he went that way um because of him winning they took they took vrabel correct right so but they
04:42they said that the better overall defense and i would i could i i they got me to believe it was new
04:47england especially as an offensive player you know as an offensive player do you know how important the
04:54snap count is for you it's a weapon for you you know whether you want to use hard counts whether
05:00you want to you know you double counts whatever it is and when you're on the road my age it's the soft
05:05count go ahead no but when you're on the road you lose that and now you have to do everything on the
05:12silent uh silent snap it becomes you know an advantage for the defense um so you always want to be
05:20at home as an offensive player so i'd say there's a little bit i i do agree with them it's you against
05:26everybody else and it's you against kind of get yourself up for that and nothing better than
05:31silence in a crowd this team i don't know if it's just dumb luck or schedule or what but they have
05:35been they have been really good on the road um and as will campbell pointed out they are undefeated
05:41on the road right so i think your focus level you know your focus at home and on the road but i think
05:47on the road there's a little bit of shopper focus because you understand of all these other things
05:52that um there you don't have the comforts of being at home and so sometimes when you're a little bit
05:58more comfortable you tend to relax a little bit and you always have rabel talking about naps naps
06:02naps when you're on the road you understand that type of environment yeah i think it's it's going to be
06:08an awesome game anybody that thinks it's going to be a relaxing watch i just don't think it's going
06:12to be that way these are usually close it's also going to be greg the most watched
06:16non-superbowl event in the history of boston oh really because you have everybody in the region
06:22snowed into their house the snow starts at 11 a.m by three o'clock you'll be in front of the tv you
06:29have nothing else you can do okay everything's canceled all right you can watch the game it's
06:33going to be incredibly highly rated especially with the northeast being under the uh the blizzard
06:38warning yeah what are bars are going to do in the area because this is huge for bars local bars that
06:44have tvs and expect big crowds to show up like selfie will be packed it won't matter about the
06:49people like getting snowed in at a bar yeah um and oftentimes some people wish that the snow i i it
06:56it probably if you believe the weather hardos that it will extend into monday so but some people prefer a
07:04snowstorm during the week so you get an automatic built-in day off yeah uh but um i i think it'll
07:12extend it if it ends up being a a 19 inch banger uh then it will uh then it will end up extending well
