00:05after hearing that Donald Trump didn't plan to take his homeland by force.
00:09But like many Greenlanders,
00:11he's taking Trump's comments in Davos with a grain of salt.
00:15Because there have been talks about using force,
00:20so it makes me super relieved.
00:23But again, you never know with Donald Trump.
00:25Hoping for the best and preparing for the worst,
00:27because sometimes he can be saying a lot of stuff.
00:34For its part, the government of Greenland
00:36is not ready to breathe a collective sigh of relief.
00:39On Wednesday, it issued a survival handbook to residents
00:42on what to do in the case of a crisis.
00:44Already in the works after a power outage across the capital last year,
00:48Greenlandic officials called the document an insurance policy,
00:52with guidance including stockpiling food and water,
00:55along with weapons for hunting and ammunition.
00:58Many residents have already heeded the advice.
01:01Maybe just in case if something happens,
01:04that we are ready to just be prepared to survive.
01:11Greenland is an autonomous territory, part of Denmark,
01:14and on Wednesday, the Danish Defense Command
01:16released a video of its soldiers training
01:19in Greenland's harsh and frigid elements.
01:21Denmark's foreign minister remains cautious about Trump's ambitions.
01:26It is, of course, positive that it is said
01:30that we will not use force.
