00:00Maybe the New York Giants actually having their coach of their future.
00:03It's John Harbaugh, $20 million to resurrect that franchise over five years.
00:08Can he do it?
00:09The optimism certainly is high.
00:11They got their man, Joe, and they're happy about it from the press conference yesterday.
00:16They should be, Donnie.
00:18I mean, that is exactly what they needed when they needed it.
00:22You know, life is funny, right?
00:24Timing is everything.
00:25And for Harbaugh to become available the way he did, and for the Giants, I mean, wondering,
00:32they've been without a head coach now.
00:34When did they fire a table?
00:35Halfway through?
00:36I mean, there has been a lot of questions about what direction they were going.
00:41Why did they hold on to the GM?
00:44And you know what?
00:44All of that is gone.
00:46They knew Harbaugh.
00:47The minute they knew he was available, from Tom Coughlin on, anybody that has ever had
00:51any influence in this organization, apparently picked up the phone to the Mara family and
00:56said, go get whatever it takes.
00:59Go get them.
01:00And that's exactly what they did.
01:02And is Harbaugh having any thoughts?
01:04Boy, if I would have waited 24 hours, that'd still be in the state of New York, but with
01:08the Buffalo Bills and Josh Allen, we'll never know.
01:10But sitting back with $20 million in your back pocket doesn't even matter at this point.
01:15Joe Shane, here's a clip of him talking about the procedures yesterday and getting their
01:18head coach.
01:18We were looking for a proven winner and an elite leader.
01:23We're fortunate we were able to find both.
01:26John Harbaugh has amassed 193 career victories, 13 playoff wins, and a Super Bowl championship.
01:36John has built a foundation of culture, player development, and toughness throughout each
01:44of his programs that he's been a part of.
01:46He's a proven winner, and when we set out to do this, we knew that John was going to be
01:53the perfect person for the New York Giants.
01:56When we did our research, what continually came up was John's respect that the players
02:02had for him and the ability to develop young men.
02:05And with that being said, I would like to introduce to you the next head football coach of the
02:11New York Giants, John Harbaugh.
02:13I don't know, man.
02:17It seems like a general manager that's like, you know what?
02:19I hope this works out, and I won't be a make any waves.
02:23You get what you want.
02:24I just want to have a job here, Joe.
02:26You know what would have been great if he would have been like, is that two sugars,
02:29John?
02:30Did you say?
02:31Yes, correct.
02:31Did you want a cookie with that, too?
02:34I'll be right back.
02:35Yeah.
02:35Go get the Starbucks order here, my friend.
02:38You are lucky to have a job still in that organization.
02:42But yeah, we know there is a new sheriff in town, and he would not have taken the job
02:47if he would have had to answer to Shane there.
02:50That would not have taken place.
02:51That would not have taken place.
