00:00But let's flip it over to the New York Giants.
00:01They hit the spotlight yesterday.
00:03Why?
00:03Because Brian Dable is out as head coach of the Giants.
00:06Yesterday, I was on Newswire when that news broke with Craig Mish.
00:10We had some fun to talk about it in real time.
00:12What did you think, Joe, when that came down the timeline?
00:14You saw Brian Dable was out as the Giants head coach.
00:18Not shocking.
00:19I mean, we showed his press conference yesterday, right?
00:23Donnie, where on Sunday, I mean, he looked like it just defeated.
00:28And you knew it.
00:29I mean, not that he lost.
00:31Again, he's lost now four games this year, Donnie, in which he has had the lead.
00:37His team has had the lead late in the fourth quarter, where he had an over 95% chance to
00:44actually win the game.
00:46And he didn't win one of those games.
00:49Not to mention that, again, you didn't protect the future of your organization, your franchise
00:54quarterback in any way, shape, or form.
00:57You know, you got to go.
00:58And the Maris didn't want to fire him, Donnie.
01:01The time to fire him, everyone should have been after the Bronco debacle.
01:05But they didn't.
01:06They did not want to.
01:07If he wins one of those four games, Donnie, where they have the lead late in the fourth,
01:12he's still the coach today.
01:14He's still the coach.
01:15And you take a look, too, like the downfall of the Giants.
01:18And this is coming from a guy that I was live right here a couple of months ago in the early
01:22line going like, oh, my goodness.
01:23Like ESPN Bet just hung a three and a half on the Giants.
01:26Don't care how bad they are.
01:28You should be able to stumble in the four victories.
01:30They have a couple wins, Joe.
01:31But quite frankly, they should have way more wins than this.
01:34Look at the losses the Giants suffered.
01:35Up three points there with 14 seconds to go against the Cowboys.
01:38End up losing that game, I believe, in overtime.
01:40Then you take a look at a horrible Saints team.
01:43You're on the road with a 14-3 lead, and you can't come away with that win.
01:47Then you have the game where the Denver Broncos didn't even score a point through the first
01:51three quarters, and you had a multi-touchdown lead.
01:53You let that one get away.
01:54And then last week, 20-10 final, or excuse me, 20-10, you're up late in the fourth quarter
01:59against an inept offense for the Bears, and you lose that game, too.
02:03So even if you look and say, well, a bad football team, at least two of those four games
02:06should have been wins.
02:08And we talked about it yesterday saying, how do you line up with Brian Dable?
02:11Yes, it is on the players a lot, but that's a pattern, and that's a head coaching pattern
02:15where you have the lead, and you can't just coach these guys to the finish line, Joe.
02:19No, and for whatever reason.
02:22But I mean, we've talked about it, right?
02:24Dysfunction, leadership not working.
02:27He has been under the gun.
02:29I mean, this is a guy that inherited Daniel Jones and not a whole heck of a lot else,
02:34but somehow managed to get him to the playoffs and win a game, manages to win coach of the
02:39year a couple of years ago.
02:41And from that point on, it's been absolutely, it looks like, he looks like a man that the
02:46pressure of the New York media market and having to win is absolutely destroyed.
02:51And I thought by getting, you know, having Jackson Dart now as the future, that the Mara
02:58family and the Giants organization would have backed and said, listen, you're our guy to
03:02help us, you know, bring this kid along and be our franchise quarterback.
03:06And instead, it all collapsed, and it collapsed in a hurry, too, Donnie.
03:11Absolutely crazy.
