00:00I'm sorry he does not understand.
00:01Oh, I get it. I don't understand because I'm a talk show host, right?
00:05Jimmy Kimmel's feud with Senator Bill Cassidy over health care isn't slowing down,
00:09and it escalated Wednesday night.
00:11It started Tuesday on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live when the host first slammed Cassidy
00:15and Senator Lindsey Graham's health care bill to replace the Affordable Care Act.
00:19Kimmel said Cassidy was not very honest and lied right to my face
00:23when the senator appeared on the show back in May
00:25and said any future bills would pass the Jimmy Kimmel test.
00:28Kimmel explained that test means no child should be denied health care
00:32because the family cannot afford it.
00:34Kimmel claims the new bill does not pass that test
00:36and also does not do any of the things Cassidy had reportedly promised,
00:40including coverage for all, no discrimination based on pre-existing conditions,
00:45lower premiums for middle-class families, and no lifetime caps.
00:48Cassidy responded Wednesday on CNN's New Day claiming the late-night host does not understand.
00:53And we protect those with pre-existing conditions.
00:55Kimmel fired back later that evening on his show.
00:58Saying, oh, I get it.
01:00I don't understand because I'm a talk show host, right?
01:03Or could it be, Senator Cassidy, that the problem is that I do understand
01:07and you got caught with your geo-penis out?
01:10Kimmel is very passionate about health care.
01:12His nearly five-month-old son, William Billy Kimmel,
01:15was born with congenital heart disease
01:16and had to undergo open-heart surgery at just three days old.
01:20President Donald Trump also got involved.
01:22Of course he did.
01:23With this tweet on Wednesday in support of Senator Cassidy.
01:26He doesn't lie, just wants to help people.
01:29Kimmel tweeted his response.
01:30That's great news, Mr. President.
01:32Does that mean he'll vote against the horrible bill he wrote?
01:34Kimmel addressed a tweet exchange on Wednesday's show saying,
01:37there's no way President Trump read this bill that he says is great.
01:40He just wants to get rid of it because Obama's name is on it.
01:43The Democrats should just rename it Ivanka Care.
01:47Guaranteed he gets on board.
