00:00Peter Pumel says the findings once again highlight the failure to hold anyone criminally accountable,
00:07despite what he describes as clear evidence of wrongdoing surrounding the collapse of Clico and CL Financial.
00:13The scandal that this whole Clico-CL Financial issue is, is sort of overshadowed by the fact that,
00:23why is it that nothing has transpired since more than a decade?
00:30And it's even more than a decade because, as I said, Bob Lindquist was there before Sir Anthony Coleman.
00:35So I think the DPP has some explaining to do to the public.
00:39I mean, he's a public servant, he's been paid by the public.
00:43The policyholders want to know what is going on here.
00:45Why has no action been taken against anybody, not even a charge?
00:50He is also appealing to Prime Minister Kamala Passat-Bissassar to move swiftly to return policies to policyholders,
00:57noting that Clico is now recording significant profits, while policyholders are still waiting to be made whole.
01:04Everybody else, except the victims, the victims in this matter are not getting what is due to them.
01:11I hope, and I'm going to make an appeal on your program this morning, and I hope the Honorable Prime Minister is listening to me.
01:16And as I said, we don't want any money from the government.
01:20We don't want any money from the Treasury.
01:21What we want is for the Prime Minister to declare that they no longer have an interest in these policies,
01:27and therefore call on, to assist us by calling on Jennifer Frederick and her board to do the right thing
01:34and pay these policyholders the residual balance that is owed to them.
01:37Permal further points to comments by King's Council Peter Carter,
01:41who has also stated that policyholders deserve their just due,
01:45reinforcing calls for full payment and closure of the decades-long matter.
01:50King's Council, Peter Carter, my namesake,
01:53he who was consul to the commission, lead council,
01:56he is saying that the policyholders should get their money.
02:00So here you have somebody thousands of miles across the Atlantic,
02:03is concerned about policyholders,
02:05and you have people right here who are trying to deliberately obstruct policyholders from getting money.
02:12And here I refer to people in the former administration.
02:15I wouldn't call any names on your program, Marlon,
02:17but they know who they are.
02:18They know who they are.
02:19Nicole M. Romani, TV6 News.
02:22I want to shoot you right now.
02:37And finally, draw your mind on this.
02:39And here you are.
02:40I have one right here.
02:40And you too.
02:41I want to give a minute um,
02:43you or you or you in a town or a of organization,
02:45you know what you may really inform your home.
02:47And I don't know what I mean with my erklären commission,
02:50it's a very important thing for you.
