00:00Gary Myers, always a pleasure, sir.
00:02We always appreciate it.
00:04And quickly, you've got a prediction for the Patriots game on Sunday.
00:08Yeah, I think this will be a tough game.
00:10But, you know, Houston's got a – it's Houston, right?
00:14I haven't really paid attention.
00:15Yeah, Houston.
00:16It is Houston.
00:17There's been so much going on here.
00:20Houston's got probably the best defense in the league.
00:23I think this will be a low-scoring game.
00:26And I just – I love what the Patriots are all about this year.
00:29And I think they'll win a game something like 20 to 17.
00:34I do want to point out here that all my Jet fan friends –
00:37and I know, Fred, that you're a Jet fan –
00:40that they're saying, how is it that Brady tortured us for 20 years
00:46and then in 2020 they thought they were back on even footing with them,
00:50both looking for a quarterback and they were both going to stink for a while.
00:53And the Jets still stink and now the Patriots, you know,
00:56are among the final four in the AFC.
00:59And I would not be shocked if they completed this run by getting to the Super Bowl.
01:05Like I said, I really kind of like what I see from them.
01:08And Vrabel's a great coach.
01:09And Drake May is so much better than I thought.
01:12Jet fans are just beside themselves that the Patriots are back to this point
01:16and the Jets still stink.
01:17Yeah, you should try talking about the Patriots every day for five days a week.
01:21I can imagine.
01:23You should also talk to some younger Patriots fans who will say they have suffered.
01:28They had to suffer through five years.
01:30Well, I'll tell you what, Gary.
01:31I think the kid from Oregon going back to school might have been the best thing to happen to the Jets.
01:35Maybe it saves them from themselves a little bit.
01:38Well, yeah.
01:38I agree with that to a certain extent, but if the Jets decided they didn't want him,
01:42somebody would have, and they would have been able to trade down from number two
01:45and picked up the extra pick.
01:46No, I understand.
01:47But that puts a tremendous amount of pressure on them
01:49because then if that kid hits and you trade it out of the pick,
01:51it's just – I just think maybe this is better.
01:54It's just better for everyone.
01:55You're going to go through another year without a quarterback.
01:57Well, I think that you could get a – I don't think that kid was going to start for him anyway right away,
02:02and I think that you would have to get a placeholder anyway.
02:05They got a ton of picks in 27, and there's supposed to be a lot more quarterback talent in that draft.
02:11They can't afford to push that down the road a little bit based on the moves they made last year.
02:16I can see them following the path of what the Giants did last year
02:20when they traded up to the middle – like number 25, and they took an Ole Miss quarterback,
02:27and now the Jets have 2, 16, and 33, and somewhere between 16 and 33.
02:34I can see them either using that first-round pick or using the second-round pick to trade back up
02:39to get a third number one and taking an Ole Miss quarterback named Trinidad Chambliss.
02:45Nice 5'11".
02:46Yeah, okay.
02:47I know that's the thing is that he doesn't touch 6'0", but he's a really good player.
02:53I mean, if he was 6'3", he'd be the first pick in the draft.
02:56Oh, and there's no question about it.
02:57He's just 24 and short, so I have my questions about that.
03:01But look –
03:01You know what?
03:02He sounds like a perfect Jet to me, don't you think?
03:04Yeah, he sounds like someone that can – a Justin Fields type, very – you know,
03:09a guy that comes in and has a lot of nice qualities but is missing the major one,
03:15and that's being able to win.
