00:09Former Youth Chief Khairi Jamaluddin was visibly emotional

00:28as he returned to UMNO's General Assembly three years after his second from the party.

00:33Khairi, who sat in the front row between Nazri Aziz and Melaka UMNO Chief Abdul Raouf Yusof,

00:39appeared on the verge of tears as he stood and waved to the UMNO Youth Delegates at the Assembly.

00:44In his speech, UMNO Youth Chief Dr. Akmal Saleh hailed the former Rambau MP's attendance

00:50as the symbolic return of a prominent leader to his home.

01:16maybe there are some who agree, there are some who don't agree.

01:20But this is the UMNO.

01:32Khairi, a former minister who had held various portfolios,

01:35was set from the party in January 2023 for bridging party discipline during the 15th general election.

01:43However, in October, there were reports that he was set to rejoin UMNO after obtaining Zahid's blessing to return.
