00:00I do wonder what the locker room celebration music is for the Texans.
00:08Oh, that's one of my favorite things.
00:09Two post-game shows ago.
00:11We didn't cover this.
00:12Two post-show games.
00:14Post-game shows.
00:14Post-game shows.
00:15There you go.
00:17We're sitting here listening, and it's before we come on, right?
00:22And Mark Vandermeer and Andre Ware are doing their little wrap-up.
00:24Well, they always shoot down to Johnny Harris in the locker room.
00:30And I can't remember who Johnny Harris got in the locker room, but it's clear as day.
00:36Tupac.
00:37Really?
00:38I believe it's America's Most Wanted.
00:39I believe it was it.
00:40Who in the hell?
00:40Who is running the board?
00:42I mean, banging it.
00:44And it's loud, and it is not the edited version.
00:48Well, CJ's from Cali, huh?
00:51CJ ain't running a damn...
00:52Let me tell you what CJ ain't doing.
00:54I just don't like the way you...
00:55No, you come out of the gates a little too confident with the belief that CJ...
01:00Well, I mean...
01:01I mean, you were just...
01:02You were just...
01:03You just poo-pooed that.
01:05Well, I'm just telling you.
01:05As soon as it got out of Tyler's mouth.
01:07There, let me tell you something.
01:09Let me tell you something.
01:09Let me tell you who not.
01:10Who's not.
01:11I mean, you've got to think...
01:12I'm going to tell you who ran it.
01:13Who ran it in your locker room?
01:14Larry Allen.
01:15One of the greatest of all time.
01:17I mean, there ain't...
01:18I mean...
01:18You're leaning towards Trent.
01:21Trent who?
01:22Brown.
01:23You're leaning...
01:23Oh, I think somebody...
01:24Yeah, no.
01:25Trent Brown may...
01:26Probably not, though.
01:27He stood around too much early on.
01:29He seemed like he had some R&B in there.
01:32I would probably go...
01:36It's going to be like an unassuming...
01:38Trent would be a good...
01:38It's going to be like an unassuming...
01:39It would be one of those interior defensive linemen, potentially.
01:42It would be Barnett, potentially.
01:50That's a good one.
01:51Barnett's not bad.
01:527-1-3-5-7-2-4-6-10.
01:54Aziz got a shot.
01:55I think Joe Mixon had a shot.
01:58Well, who is deciding the post-game music?
02:05Who's the DJ?
02:05Tidus, maybe?
02:09Tidus got a shot.
02:10Yeah.
02:10Tidus is in there.
02:11Got a shot.
02:13I would probably...
02:14Like, I don't think Daniil gives a rip.
02:16I don't think he does, either.
02:17I thought one of the young DBs' knee-jerk reaction.
02:21Like a Bullock or a Lassiter.
02:24Maybe Petrie.
02:26Kamari could.
02:27Kamari does not seem like somebody who gives a damn about waiting his turn.
02:32So, but Bullock's got to hold serve.
02:37He's got to wait.
02:37Not yet.
02:39Kamari's not a bad...
02:40I'm going Barnett one, Aziz two.
02:44See, I think somebody hits Aziz with, hey, man.
02:47All right, come on, man.
02:48Like, we're just trying to have a good time, man.
02:50I feel like Aziz is coming in with some common...
02:55I'm just telling you, there was nothing better.
02:58I mean, Johnny Harris...
02:59Really, make you think stuff.
03:00Johnny Harris is amped up, too, boy.
03:02And he was amped up later.
03:03He was football amped up.
03:05Johnny and them Jays.
03:06And I couldn't hear nothing Johnny was saying.
03:08All I could hear was that Tupac, America's most wanted in the background.
03:11Isn't America's most wanted in it?
03:13Yeah.
03:15Someone's texting in, well, which is the white guy?
03:18Who is the white guy that would be most likely to lead it?
03:20There ain't one.
03:21Oh, it's got to be Tommy Townsend.
03:24No.
03:24Zero chance.
03:26Damn.
03:26Zero chance.
03:27Listen, I think Dalton Schultz carries much more weight in there.
03:33I agree.
03:33Dalton Schultz.
03:33Than others.
03:34I think Dalton Schultz has a real chance.
03:36Dalton Schultz is it.
03:38Ain't no real.
03:39Because Dalton Schultz has a real chance.
03:41Patterson and Andrews, they keep on moving.
03:42Well, I think Dalton may have a chance, even without adding the white boy context.
03:47You know, context.
03:49I mean, he's got a chance to be in the top three or four.
03:51Like, you're right.
03:51You're right.
03:52Him.
03:52Someone says Frank Ross runs in to beat everybody to the ox.
03:58He's a hype fella.
03:59Well, no, that doesn't.
04:00That doesn't.
04:01Derek Barnett would move it.
04:02But that doesn't count.
04:03Like, if Frank Ross strikes me as a guy that's going to take the workload off the player to
04:09get in there and get it turned on and make the playlist and all that.
04:12But he's doing it strictly.
04:13Like, he's basing it off of what the guys want.
04:16So, I would say, I'll be honest, in this day and age, this generation, they hired somebody
04:22over there to run the damn jukebox, to be honest with you.
04:24They ain't letting nobody else do it.
04:26I believe Stephon Diggs was trying to do it last.
04:29Yeah.
04:30By the way, man, I'll just say these numbers.
04:34153 total yards allowed.
04:3611 first downs given up.
04:38Two takeaways.
04:39Two touchdowns.
04:40Four sacks.
04:4112 quarterback hits.
04:42Seven tackles.
04:44TFL's tackles for loss.
04:46Six points allowed in the game.
04:47That is what the Texans defense did on the big stage.
04:52The only game to see.
04:54Before we dive into what they did and how impressed you are with them.
05:00Are you, were you a little bit surprised?
05:03Like, almost that it was that dominant.
05:05Like, at that one point in the game, like, they could not do anything.
05:10Like, it, like, I know they're great, and I knew this was probably a pretty good matchup
05:16for them with Aaron not being able to move well, their offensive line just being all right.
05:21They don't run it great.
05:22Like, I said it last week, boy, I got to, I find it real hard for them to sustain drives.
05:29They better just get big plays.
05:30But, damn, man, there, there was a point after about the first two or three drives where, like, it was like, I mean, they can't do anything.
05:40Yeah, I think once the, what surprised me was when the game was so tight that they weren't able to do anything.
05:45Once the, once they got the two-score lead and they could pin their ears back, it was game over.
05:49But, but for me, it was, we didn't see one explosive, I don't think.
05:55To, to think that with Aaron Rodgers pulling the trigger, that one DK Metcalf wasn't going to get over the top at some point
06:01and make a big play, draw a P.I., something like that that swung the game.
06:05To think that that wouldn't happen through four quarters, I'd have lost money on.
06:09The other part of it is to think that Gainwell didn't catch a ball and make a big play outside or hit a run, hit a crease in the run game
06:20and get at least one big chunk play, like, I would have lost money there.
06:26So, yeah, it was, it was, it was better than, than I thought.
06:29I expected a dominant performance given that it's only D and, and really Kenneth Gainwell.
06:37But, boy, I, I didn't expect it to be that dominant.
06:39No, I, I didn't see that.
06:40Yeah, they just, I mean, they just, they, I mean, they had, they had to throw in the towel.
06:45Oh, yeah.
06:46No question.
06:47It didn't matter who it was.
06:49I mean, from, I mean, obviously, Aziz to Danil to Will Anderson to Stingley, all of them.
06:58Jimmy Ward was in the starting lineup, apparently, according to ESPN.
07:01I mean, how does that happen?
07:06That damn Reed couldn't get his damn, I mean, he just,
07:09trying to get one time to get his picture up there.
07:12He, he went ahead and got himself injured, so they, they were forced to have to talk about
07:15him and get his picture up there.
07:17But, damn, Jimmy, I said, I, I said, what?
07:21We just did the show from two to, two to four.
07:24Jimmy Ward's in?
07:25Some of you, we had that turn.
07:27I'm hungry.
07:28Jimmy Ward?
07:29Oh, man.
07:32I about to say, Jimbo, back.
07:35He snuck in that lineup, didn't he?
07:36I said, hey, man, D'Amico said, we ain't done.
07:39We coming down.
07:40But, no, man, like, I, I was saying, man, the, the, the thing that, that is, is becoming
07:46scary for them is, they used to have places where you could attack them and you, and where
07:53you were like, like, like, yeah, they can be had there.
07:59Um, running the ball on the interior and then they started off the game with a 10-yard run
08:05and then that, that, for the most part, quickly shut up.
08:08But, Tommy and, and, and Sheldon and the leaving, those two guys in particular, they are just
08:16an absolute problem.
08:17Mixing in D'Amico Autry, it's been enough.
08:19They are an absolute problem where those used to be areas where you can, especially when they
08:24had injuries go down, that, that, that, you can't call them a weak link.
08:27They're out there just destroying guys, destroying double teams.
08:32And then, like, at some point now, we just have to stop with just remembering games of
08:38the past.
08:39Henry Toa Toa, Aziz Alshire, those guys in coverage, those linebackers, which used to be a, that's
08:48not a thing anymore.
08:50I mean, it was, hey, it was an early one.
08:53Henry Toa Toa with a choice route just ran stride for stride.
08:57With, with Gainwell.
08:59And, and Rodgers had to throw it out of bounds because he didn't get to him.
09:02That's one of the first drives.
09:03It was like, damn.
09:05Okay.
09:06Yeah.
09:06All right.
09:06Like, those things just aren't things that you can seem to take advantage of them anymore.
09:12Whatever their weakness is.
09:13So now, man, they're, they're just, there's, there's not much you can do to attack them
09:18and really feel like you can, you can really give them problems for a sustained time.
09:23Well, you got to, I mean, the only, the only chance you has, have is if you can match the
09:29physicality up front.
09:30I mean, it just seems like teams, really good teams just get overwhelmed with the, with the
09:36physicality and, and more times than not, hell, it ain't even in the fourth quarter.
09:41It's earlier in the game when this defense has just worn somebody smooth out and they've
09:45had enough.
09:45And so the only, the only chance that I think anybody has to have any level of success against
09:53you have, like, I look back and I know this stuff because we beat them and it, but, but
09:56you look at like the physicality that's ingrained with Trent Williams and them boys in, in San
10:02Francisco.
10:02Right.
10:03I mean, like you, you, like, it's gotta be one of those where you just, there's a certain
10:07level, the old Pittsburgh team, where there was a certain level of physicality, the old
10:10Baltimore team where there was a certain level of physicality.
10:13Like if you're not cut from that cloth, I don't know how you have any level of success against
10:19our defense.
10:20Now you may have enough success to win a game, but I don't know how you have any level of success
10:25against our defense.
