00:08It comes after Trump warned that the U.S. would start targeting drug cartels on Mexican soil.
00:15Sheinbaum said she made clear that armed intervention inside Mexico was not acceptable
00:20and that she rejected any suggestion of U.S. military action on Mexican territory.
00:26The call with Trump, she said, focused on security.
00:30Highlighting progress made by Mexican authorities,
00:33including a 50% drop in fentanyl trafficking into the United States over the past year.
00:39She also confirmed that senior officials from both countries will meet again on January 22nd
00:44to discuss bilateral security issues.
00:47It wasn't the first time Trump made the threat against Mexico,
00:51but the U.S.'s recent attack and capture of Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro
00:55has added new weight to his statement.
