00:18um today because of something that happened to you yesterday yeah i got jumped yesterday i got
00:23beat up yesterday down at bonneford by some pnm folks they pulled my flag off they could burn it
00:31and at the end result of it is that um they beat me up beat me up to where i had ended
00:39end up going to the hospital video of the incident which occurred on the last day of the th elections
00:44campaign on sunday was widely circulated online in terms of when you went to the hospital what did
00:50doctors well they checked me out and so far you know i got my bumps and my bruises and i got my
00:56aches and pains they gave me some painkillers and stuff like that but i mean it was there for everybody
01:01to see one lady jump kicked me in my head i ended up with you know a lot of headache last night and
01:07stuff but i'm i'm okay now and early on monday morning i never in my life voted so early i always
01:16vote in the pm as opposed to the am but i couldn't sleep last night and by five o'clock i was making
01:23my way to the polls right so i did it i did it tpp to the world tpp leader for the augustine after he
01:33had cast his ballot in space side on monday fielded questions from the media about the incident and
01:38bon accord on sunday i mean what happened was unfortunate um and every lady was impacted by it
01:46i i know um that she saw some medical attention yesterday evening i know the matter was also
01:54reported to the police and so we are with investigation from the ttps afterwards police
01:59commissioner alistair govaro spoke with the media and a question was posed to him about the incident in
02:04bon accord on sunday i only like to stick to today's process at this point in time and tell you
02:10that it is smooth and anything else dealing with in terms of reports that are made to the police we
02:16have an investigative process and after that we come back and when we spoke with miss bruce at signal hill
02:23if i have to do it all over again i would not have been i would not be lured into a situation like
02:28that i would just drive away but i was upset because i didn't interfere with the people and they
02:34they were the ones who interfered with me they attacked me and stuff um i guess you might have
02:38seen where i had a knife i took it out of my car my my hope was that when they see that they would
02:44back off and leave me alone they came around to the back of my car came to my passenger my driver's
02:49seat and did a number on me but um we'll take care of that after the election after the election
02:56because i am going to press charges as for the voting exercise on monday the police commissioner gave an
03:01update to the media but this morning we can report no reports of electoral violence any discrepancies
03:09and all of that we have a process across the entire polling all the polling stations right there are no
03:17negative reports as far and we continue myself and my team visiting the different polling stations
03:24and obtaining feedback from the officers here commissioner govaro said the police service has a mandate
