flow of voters there and we spoke with one of them my name is jennifer bruce and you were telling me
00:13
before we started the interview that you have a very unique story in terms of this election
00:18

00:23
beat up yesterday down at bonneford by some pnm folks they pulled my flag off they could burn it
00:31
and at the end result of it is that um they beat me up beat me up to where i had ended
00:39
end up going to the hospital video of the incident which occurred on the last day of the th elections
00:44
campaign on sunday was widely circulated online in terms of when you went to the hospital what did
00:50
doctors well they checked me out and so far you know i got my bumps and my bruises and i got my
00:56
aches and pains they gave me some painkillers and stuff like that but i mean it was there for everybody
01:01
to see one lady jump kicked me in my head i ended up with you know a lot of headache last night and
01:07
stuff but i'm i'm okay now and early on monday morning i never in my life voted so early i always

vote in the pm as opposed to the am but i couldn't sleep last night and by five o'clock i was making
01:23
my way to the polls right so i did it i did it tpp to the world tpp leader for the augustine after he
01:33
had cast his ballot in space side on monday fielded questions from the media about the incident and

bon accord on sunday i mean what happened was unfortunate um and every lady was impacted by it
01:46
i i know um that she saw some medical attention yesterday evening i know the matter was also
01:54
reported to the police and so we are with investigation from the ttps afterwards police

02:10
that it is smooth and anything else dealing with in terms of reports that are made to the police we
02:16
have an investigative process and after that we come back and when we spoke with miss bruce at signal hill
02:23
if i have to do it all over again i would not have been i would not be lured into a situation like
02:28
that i would just drive away but i was upset because i didn't interfere with the people and they
02:34
they were the ones who interfered with me they attacked me and stuff um i guess you might have
02:38
seen where i had a knife i took it out of my car my my hope was that when they see that they would
02:44
back off and leave me alone they came around to the back of my car came to my passenger my driver's
02:49
seat and did a number on me but um we'll take care of that after the election after the election

03:01
update to the media but this morning we can report no reports of electoral violence any discrepancies
03:09
and all of that we have a process across the entire polling all the polling stations right there are no
03:17
negative reports as far and we continue myself and my team visiting the different polling stations
03:24
and obtaining feedback from the officers here commissioner govaro said the police service has a mandate
03:29
to ensure the democratic process takes place without any hindrance jewel brown tv6 news
