00:00I wonder where that and why his car is down there.
00:20It's not uncommon to have college students go out drinking and not make it home.
00:25I woke up around like 1 a.m. and that's when I thought that his car was gone.
00:30Where's my boyfriend at?
00:32We're looking for a missing person now.
00:36He's running, dispatch.
00:38Who are you?
00:41He's out about on foot somewhere.
00:45Are you fine?
00:47Yeah.
00:48I thought we were going to be looking for a body.
00:51I'm going to be looking for a body.
00:53I'm glad I have a body so much.
00:55We have nothing.
00:56Come outside!
00:57He's not there!
01:01He's trying to catch all of these things running, aren't you?
01:03Oh, I thought it was running.
01:04It's sales, aren't it?
01:07Go on, man.
01:13Somewhere around the 10 o'clock hour, there was a call called in by an officer over at
01:29Heritage Park of a vehicle that was located in a ditch.
01:34Crazy thing is, there's nothing, I mean, there was no acceleration.
01:39It's almost like it just rode off in there or something.
01:41Yeah.
01:43I might go get Scotty's toe rope and get his out.
01:48It's close to a college and it's not uncommon to have college students go out drinking and
01:54try to drive back home and not make it.
01:56Looks like it's still on though, ain't it?
02:01Lights are on in the dash.
02:02Lights are on.
02:03Yeah, I mean, there's lights on like it's, but it ain't running running.
02:07That water ain't deep, I don't think he's in there, is he?
02:11No one was inside the car, didn't really see any signs of like someone accelerating or
02:24hitting the brakes.
02:25It was really odd.
02:27So you just found the car abandoned there?
02:30Yeah, it's actually off in a little bitch.
02:34We're in the process of getting it out.
02:36I don't think there's anybody in it right now.
02:38The car comes back to Rainey Davis, so Lieutenant Sailors, who was our shift commander at that
02:45point, contacted Mr. Davis.
02:47What's your son's name right quick?
02:49His first name is Aaron, A-A-R-O-N.
02:52Uh-huh.
02:53We find out from Mr. Davis that his son, Aaron Davis, had the vehicle.
02:57I'm just going to go up to visit his girlfriend in Alabama after.
02:59Yeah, can you see if you maybe can get a hold of him and check in with him, see where his car is supposed to be?
03:05He tells me the car is in a ditch, I'm thinking to myself, what in the world could be going on?
03:17I'm thinking, why would Aaron still be in Rome because he was supposed to be in Alabama?
03:21Why is his car in a ditch?
03:22I hope he's safe.
03:23His son's name is Aaron Davis.
03:25He's supposed to be coming to Rome to see some friends and going to Alabama to see his girlfriend.
03:30I don't think he's back there.
03:32No.
03:33I wonder where he's at and why his car is down there.
03:36So Aaron was not returning any calls or answering us at all.
03:40He had been on his way to Alabama where his girlfriend lived at the time.
03:44He was going to stop at his friend Brandon's house Thursday night, so he was going to sleep there on Thursday night.
03:48He had done that other times as well, so this was not an unusual occurrence.
03:57Hello?
03:58Hey, is this Mr. Reisner?
04:00Yes, this is.
04:01Hey, I'm Lieutenant Saylor from the police.
04:04You doing all right today?
04:05Yes, I am.
04:06I'm looking for my friend right now.
04:08Yeah, that's what I was calling about.
04:10I don't, you hadn't heard from him, I don't guess.
04:12I have not.
04:13I've tried calling him and I've just gone to drink a voicemail.
04:16When's the last time you saw Aaron?
04:18I saw him last night.
04:20About what time?
04:21Uh, well, we started drinking around like 12.
04:27Uh-huh.
04:28And, uh, he started throwing up pretty bad.
04:33Uh, he told me to leave him alone.
04:35So I went downstairs, uh, and I fell asleep.
04:39And, uh, I guess I woke up around like 1 or 2.
04:44Uh-huh.
04:45And that's when I saw that his car was gone.
04:48Okay.
04:49Yeah.
04:50Sounds like he might have been intoxicated.
04:52Yeah, he probably was unless he threw a ball up.
04:56Okay.
04:57He threw up a lot.
04:58Okay.
04:59I don't know if his parents know that he thinks, but he does it occasionally with me.
05:02We're Mormon.
05:03Uh-huh.
05:04We'll stay out of trouble and stuff.
05:06But, um...
05:07All right.
05:08Well, if y'all hear from him, let us know, okay?
05:11We will, for sure.
05:12Okay.
05:14Yeah, thank you for the help, sir.
05:15All right.
05:16Bye-bye.
05:17That immediately went from an abandoned vehicle to, hey, we're looking for a missing person
05:24now.
05:25Nothing's adding up to why the vehicle's there.
05:31I was up early with checking my phone to see, like, are you awake yet?
05:36Like, I know you're with Brandon and that you had a fun night with your friend, but, like,
05:40it's, like, 12 Georgia time now, so, like, where is my boyfriend at?
05:46And so I was starting to panic a little bit.
05:48So I text Brandon, hey, are you and Aaron still hanging out?
05:53And he said, yeah, sorry, his phone may be dead.
05:57But that doesn't make any sense.
06:01Then I get a call from Sarah, Aaron's mom.
06:06And she sounds frantic.
06:09And she says that they found his car in a ditch.
06:14And my immediate response was, oh, my gosh, he's dead.
06:23We decide that we want to go talk to Brandon Reisner again because he's the last person who
06:28was known to be with Aaron and his house is the last place they were at.
06:33The Reisner residence is located in Old East Rome.
06:39It's a nice neighborhood.
06:42Nothing hardly ever happens over there.
06:44Nobody's coming to the door.
06:45We're thinking maybe, maybe he left.
06:46Maybe he went out looking somewhere else for
06:48everything.
06:49Aaron.
06:50Aaron.
06:51Aaron.
06:52Aaron.
06:53Aaron.
06:54Aaron.
06:55Aaron.
06:56Aaron.
06:57Aaron.
06:58Aaron.
06:59Aaron.
07:00Aaron.
07:02Nobody's coming to the door, we're thinking maybe, maybe he left, maybe he went out looking
07:13somewhere else for Aaron.
07:16Looks really neat, it's like a board game stacked up, I don't know, I'm down here.
07:32There he is.
07:33Hey, what's going on?
07:34I'm Officer Grant, we're the wrong place from, we're following up on all this stuff.
07:37Can you walk me through what's going on, just to make sure we're all on the same page.
07:40Yeah, so we started drinking around 12 yesterday.
07:43Yeah, it's you and Aaron, right?
07:45Okay.
07:46Anyone else?
07:47Nope.
07:48Okay.
07:49And we went to the bars some time in the evening.
07:53We got off.
07:54We came back here, we were driving my ball boat.
07:57And then we started drinking red wine.
08:00He doesn't drink too often, so he had gone upstairs and was just puking everywhere to the toilet.
08:07It was like standing up and puking for some reason.
08:10So Brandon seems cooperative.
08:11He didn't appear to be hung over or anything like that.
08:24If he was, it was very little.
08:27He seemed to be pretty clear headed.
08:29I went downstairs, dropped a bottle, cut my pinky, and I went to the urgent care this morning.
08:37But with my experience of several years of patrolling, there's just something off about him.
08:42We pay a lot of attention to body language when we're interviewing people.
08:46So, how long have you and Aaron been friends?
08:49Since, like, we met when I was in fifth grade.
08:53Okay.
08:54And then, uh, we became more, like, close friends, I'd say.
09:00Like, we ran out of freshmen.
09:03Something in me felt that I needed to try to get into the house.
09:06Do you have any problem with those chickens talking about?
09:08Nope.
09:09No problem at all.
09:10So you're okay if we go in there and walk around and just take a look?
09:14Yeah.
09:15No dog or anything, is that right?
09:16No.
09:17It's like that.
09:18Okay.
09:19No ferocious iguanas or anything?
09:22No.
09:23You never know, man.
09:25People have all kinds of pets.
09:27Do you mind coming in here with me so you can just show me where I'm going and all that?
09:30Yeah.
09:31It just makes it a little bit easier because I don't want to go somewhere that, you know,
09:34your parents hang out up because I'm not trying to get in their space, you know?
09:37I don't have a warrant to get into the house.
09:40Uh, the only way I can get to the house at this point is by Brennan giving me consent.
09:45I'm just going to have him walk with me to make sure I don't go somewhere where he doesn't go.
09:52When it comes to doing a consent search, it's very important that you're only searching areas
09:57that the person providing consent has access to.
10:01So this is my parents' bed.
10:03Okay.
10:04So you don't normally go in here?
10:05Confess, I did take a couple of baths in there because they have to go back to it.
10:10Um...
10:11It normally does in the master, you know?
10:13The house seems in pretty good order.
10:15Most everything seems to be put away in its proper place.
10:18No evidence of any sort of struggle or anything.
10:21You play guitar?
10:27Uh, his room's a little disheveled, but he's in his early 20s and he lives with his parents.
10:30It's not really out of the ordinary.
10:32What about this room?
10:34Uh, this is normally the guest room, but Aaron wanted to sleep upstairs.
10:38Okay.
10:43The bathroom is up there that he was up chucking in. I got you.
10:46They're all falling from the bed.
10:48Oh, Lord.
10:50Is that what's in the laundry right now, I guess?
10:52Okay.
11:03So I go up the stairs into the room where Aaron would have been staying.
11:08There's no sheets on the bed, no pillows.
11:11And, of course, none of this is out of place, given what Brandon is saying, is that Aaron
11:16was throwing up a large amount the night before.
11:18Hey, zero now.
11:19Um, I look further and there is a large amount of blood.
11:25At that moment I realized this is something that someone with more experience than me and possibly
11:32a higher rank should come and look at.
11:34I've never encountered anything like this.
11:35There's a significant amount of blood next to the bed, too.
11:39More than just vomit.
11:40So, Sergeant Brown comes upstairs.
11:42He takes a look at what I've found.
11:44I realized this is something that someone with more experience than me and possibly a higher rank should come and look at.
11:51I've never encountered anything like this.
11:54There's a significant amount of blood next to the bed, too.
11:58More than just vomit.
12:02So Sergeant Brown comes upstairs. He takes a look at what I've found.
12:09Looks like I've been there a while, but he could have been throwing out blood, I guess.
12:15It looks like it, too.
12:16He points out some other spots as well. I believe he pointed out some blood spots on the bed.
12:23And he came to the same realization that I did, that this was too much blood for someone who was still alive.
12:30Whoever's blood that was was at the edge of life, if not already deceased.
12:33Might want to come over here. We've got a pretty significant amount of blood on the floor. We've got blood on this.
12:45Armwork.
12:47Armwork thing.
12:50Sergeant Brown calls his immediate supervisor, Lieutenant Sailors.
12:53All over here on the other side of the floor on the road. Yes.
13:04Yeah, we're going to get out of here and just go back outside.
13:09I believe Lieutenant Sailors made the decision that, hey, we need to call detectives in.
13:13Do you need to secure a warrant for the rest of the house?
13:16No, just to make sure you check it for, you know, a leak or something.
13:23Yep.
13:25Does that really do that?
13:27Sure is no victim.
13:28I didn't see any drag marks or anything downstairs.
13:32Because if he's not very good at cleaning stuff up, he would have messed up too.
13:38I've always wanted to do scuba diving. I've always wanted to do scuba diving.
13:41I've always wanted to do scuba diving.
13:49The sheets are in here.
13:55Oh, my knees.
13:58Keep going.
14:04Keep running, dispatch.
14:10Run now.
14:11Oh, man.
14:12Hit!
14:24Run through you, Mark.
14:34He was definitely in flight mode and there was no way I was catching him.
14:46All right, whatever road runs perpendicular to East Knott, so 8th.
14:52I'm not saying I'm the fastest guy in the world, but I catch most people I run after
14:57and he was on a new level.
15:04If I had to go back and change things, I would have positioned myself in the kitchen to limit
15:09an escape route.
15:11But, I mean, that's me Monday morning quarterbacking my own self.
15:15White male, long hair, long shirt, shorts.
15:18He got some age on me.
15:21Dark colored shirt.
15:24He knows the whereabouts of where Aaron is and we don't know if Aaron was alive at this
15:50time or if he was stashed away somewhere.
15:53That's why everybody was on board looking for this guy.
15:56Get her back up there at the house, on the back side of that house in the backyard.
16:00Okay.
16:01Go up to the house, get in the backyard.
16:07Okay.
16:08Possible 1043 suspect.
16:12This has escalated extremely quickly.
16:14We went from a missing person in the morning to finding large amounts of blood and the last
16:18person to have been seen with Aaron running from the scene from officers.
16:21This is M63, but he's got red tips in his hair.
16:24Okay.
16:25And he's got a maroon shirt on.
16:26We have numerous agencies responding attempting to find this individual.
16:31He went this way.
16:32I don't know where he went after that.
16:33If you see a lanky kid wearing a dark shirt, call us.
16:47Okay.
16:48I sure will.
16:49All right.
16:51We probably had at least 15 to 20 units in the area looking for him.
16:54Ma'am, have you saw anybody running through here?
16:59When there's a manhunt like that going on.
17:03If you see anybody, let us know, okay?
17:05There's a lot of coordination trying to go on, on who's where.
17:09Yes.
17:10Two units on the house.
17:1147's on the front.
17:1282's on the back.
17:13You don't know if he's armed, unarmed, or not.
17:16Holy Spartan, if you're in there, let's self-know.
17:24It's a chaotic scene at that time.
17:32He had like a pink, like a reddish maroon long-sleeved shirt.
17:35Damn, I think I just saw him on that street when I was coming here.
17:37He's got long hair with pink in his hair.
17:39Yes.
17:40Okay.
17:41Yes.
17:42He was on the street before this one right here, but I was coming over here to get in the backyard.
17:49Yes, I saw him, but they didn't give out a description of a red shirt.
17:52He was just walking down nine.
17:55Don't worry about it.
17:56We'll get him.
17:58Yeah, he stood up.
17:59Yeah, we're in there.
18:00Then he just boomed.
18:01He heard me.
18:02What'd he say?
18:03I said the sheets were in the dryer.
18:05And that's when he took off.
18:06Well, I think he killed him.
18:10CID responds to the scene.
18:12Detective Gore was the first one there.
18:17Okay, so do we know whose house this is?
18:19He said it's his parents' house.
18:20He lives here with his parents.
18:22His parents are not here.
18:23His parents are not here.
18:24They're supposed to be back around three, is what he told me.
18:26But, you know, I don't think he's being 100% honest about everything, so we know.
18:30No.
18:31The car's registered to a Jeremy Reisner, which I assume would be daddy.
18:35Okay.
18:36Born in 1970.
18:38Detective Gore had to await the search warrant to get into the house.
18:42I actually volunteered with Sergeant Brown to stay over the end of my shift.
18:47I'm heavily invested in this because of what I had found and my involvement in it.
18:51But I also have an interest in becoming an investigator myself.
18:57So I was there to learn as much as possible, just be a sponge and soak it up and see what I can learn from these detectives.
19:05We wanted to go see if we could get any surveillance footage of Aaron and Brad at the bar.
19:18Aaron's girlfriend, Charlie, and her parents were outside.
19:21They came into town from Alabama to assist us in locating Aaron.
19:26We've got all up and down here showing the pictures and the numerous sightings of...
19:30This is the only one that had, like, camera footage and stuff, but the numerous sightings of...
19:34They were with people on grounds and all of this.
19:37I remember in the car thinking that, with the texts from Brandon, that he wasn't being very helpful
19:46and he didn't have a lot of information and that that was really weird.
19:50They called him back and said, look, go down there and meet them.
19:54Walk up and down the strip with them, show them everywhere that you guys went and all the things that you did.
19:58And he hasn't shown up, he's not here.
20:00If you see anything, 911, please.
20:02Yeah.
20:03Especially if you get in touch with Brandon, we need to talk to him.
20:06Okay.
20:07Was he not at home when...
20:08He's gone right now.
20:10Oh.
20:11You guys aren't...
20:12You guys are smart.
20:13You know how to piece things together.
20:14We...
20:15We don't know what's going on, but we know that he's not around.
20:18So that's what we're saying.
20:20That's when, like, some of the horror starts to set in.
20:25My entire reality is crashing down around me.
20:29I don't understand anything that's happening anymore.
20:32We need one.
20:33Oh, you got a speaker phone?
20:44Yes, it's on speaker.
20:45Okay.
20:46It doesn't feel good talking to them about it.
20:59As much as you want to tell them, hey, this is what's going on, it's still an active investigation.
21:05So we can't go into detail about it.
21:09Okay.
21:10Yeah, we're probably going to need to talk to Brandon.
21:12Do you know where he is?
21:14No, I thought he was still at home.
21:16Now earlier, we had told him to make sure to keep his phone on, keep it handy, and to
21:23maybe drive around the areas where they normally hang out and try to look for him for Aaron.
21:29You guys have talked to him today, right?
21:31Yes, sir.
21:32He was here at one point, but he decided to run off.
21:36He played on foot.
21:37So he's out about on foot somewhere.
21:40He outran a couple of our police officers.
21:44He ran?
21:46He literally ran?
21:47Yes, sir.
21:48Very fast.
21:50Officer, Brandon has panic attacks.
21:54He's on medication.
21:56He's been diagnosed with Tourette's and OCD, and he has severe panic attacks.
22:01Okay.
22:02I mean, my biggest concern right now is him hurting himself.
22:05Yeah.
22:06So, yeah, we'll keep you closer if we hear anything at all.
22:10Okay.
22:11That'd be great.
22:12All right.
22:14Okay.
22:14Thanks, sir.
22:15Bye-bye.
22:15Thanks, sir.
22:15Bye-bye.
22:15Hey.
22:25All right.
22:26I'm in here.
22:27I'm looking at the truck and his car.
22:29Yeah.
22:30I can't tell, but it's like blood back here.
22:34Get that car towed to the station now.
22:36All right.
22:38He was washing bloody blankets at the house.
22:40All right.
22:41Appreciate it.
22:42Hey, Sam's having the car towed back at the station.
22:46He said that Sunrise had it out there.
22:47There's blood in the trunk.
22:49In his car?
22:49Yes.
22:50So, that kid, he might be down there.
22:57He's dead somewhere.
22:58He's got to be.
23:01There's blood in the trunk.
23:04With the blood that was located in the trunk of his vehicle, what I'm thinking is that Aaron's
23:10probably floating in the river.
23:15I should have kept my eyes on that dude.
23:18Yeah, I just had a gut feel.
23:19I can't believe that dude smoked my ass like that.
23:25Brandon and Aaron have been friends since at least middle school.
23:29What could have happened that made Brandon want to hurt Aaron?
23:33What happened in that room?
23:37That was a bomb.
23:38I'm going to go ahead and start photographing.
23:49Before they go in there, y'all go through that house again and make double sure there's nobody
23:56in there.
23:56Yeah, I appreciate that.
23:57And then we could cut everybody else loose.
24:01Police department, search for it.
24:03At this point, Detective Riddling shows up on the scene.
24:15At this point, Detective Riddling shows up on the scene.
24:29After 20 years of being a patrol officer, I'd essentially been working in that unit for like
24:43eight working days.
24:44Detective Gore was the on-call detective that week.
24:48And because I was so new to the unit, every time he would go out, I would go out with him.
24:52As soon as we reach the top of the stairway, you immediately start smelling chemicals.
25:16Oh yeah.
25:18There are dozens of cleaning bottles, different cleaning material spread throughout the room.
25:37So there, and that's what, see that?
25:42Oh, he's blood cladded, look.
25:45Look.
25:46Well, yeah, I just noticed that.
25:47This one right there.
25:48Oh yeah.
25:49Right there.
25:50Yeah.
25:54Oh yeah, he's been cleaning.
25:55Look at that.
25:56He's clean, he's been trying to clean that.
26:00All the way on the back here on the back wall.
26:01Perfect lighting.
26:02Photograph that.
26:04What I'm seeing in the room does not match up to what was told to Officer Donnerworth.
26:12What I'm seeing looks like an assault.
26:14There's too much blood on the carpet, there's too much blood on the furniture, and the blood
26:21spatter that's on the walls and the ceiling indicate that an offensive weapon had been
26:25used.
26:26It's on the sink and the walls.
26:28Yep.
26:33All over this.
26:40Knowing the amount of blood that we have already seen in the room, I thought we were going to
26:45be looking for a body.
26:46Wait to find this guy.
26:49Yep.
26:50Somehow.
26:51Chris.
26:52Sir.
26:53Welcome to CID.
26:53I found his phone in the neighborhood just now.
27:19There's no sign of him anywhere.
27:20And for what it's worth, outgoing and ingoing messages, he's been asking other friends about
27:28if they've seen or heard from Aaron Davis.
27:34So I don't know why he would have ran.
27:36I think he's just scared, panic attack, I don't know.
27:39But anyway, that's all I got for you, so I'd let you know.
27:44If would it be possible for you to let one of the officers take that phone so we can preserve
27:53it in case it's needed for evidence?
27:56Yeah, I can work my way that way.
27:57I'm on foot, but I'll get over there eventually.
28:00Yeah.
28:00Okay, that would be good.
28:03I mean, I'll tell you, I don't know what happened, but there's something going on.
28:08Were there any communications on the phone?
28:17Were there any pictures on the phone that might show us what had taken place?
28:22I was very hopeful that that phone would show us where we could possibly find Aaron, and
28:35maybe what routes Brandon had taken.
28:42I wanted to get my hands on that phone.
28:44What's the status?
28:48So, first of all, I understand you found his cell phone.
28:52That's right.
28:52You want to turn that over to us?
28:53Maybe.
28:54Okay.
28:54All right.
28:56I do.
28:56My gut says yes, but at the same time, I don't know.
29:01We'll probably need to go through it.
29:02All right.
29:03Okay, thank you.
29:07At this point, I'm thinking that Jeremy is not wanting to do or say anything that would
29:13possibly harm his son.
29:16He's still a parent, so I understand.
29:21I get it.
29:27Later on in the evening, Detective Gore and I are still collecting evidence.
29:33Did you see the other bags?
29:35We're wrapping things up.
29:37We're bagging and sealing items that we have collected for evidence.
29:43And we get notified that Jeremy Reisner has brought Brandon to the police department
29:52to turn him in.
29:59I'm Detective York.
30:00I'm here with Brandon.
30:03Rachel.
30:03Rachel.
30:04Jeremy.
30:08Brandon's stepmom was there as well.
30:11I know how hard that must have been for Jeremy to not help his son continue to flee and to
30:22hide.
30:23I know how hard that must have been for Jeremy to not help his son continue to flee and to
30:26hide.
30:27Rachel, Jeremy, if y'all can have a seat out here, I'm going to take him back there.
30:48And we'll talk in a bit.
30:50Do you have some questions?
30:56Would you like to talk in private?
30:57You need to send somebody out to the body.
31:01Okay.
31:02Let's...
31:03I'll be back in just a minute, okay?
31:05All right.
31:06If y'all just have a seat, I'll be right back out with you, okay?
31:09Go ahead and have a seat.
31:29You have the right to remain silent, anything you say can be used against you in court.
31:44You have the right to talk to a lawyer for advice before you or ask questions and have him with you during questioning.
31:49If you cannot afford a lawyer, one will be appointed for you before any questioning if you wish.
31:55If you decide to answer questions now without a lawyer present, you will still have the right to stop answering questions at any time until you talk to a lawyer, okay?
32:12If you decide to answer questions now without a lawyer present, you will still have the right to stop answering questions at any time until you talk to a lawyer, okay?
32:20I would like a lawyer.
32:22You would like a lawyer, okay.
32:26You're welcome.
32:32One thing that we can do, y'all, right now, is to fight my body.
32:40I can take you out.
32:43Try to show you.
32:45I'm sorry?
32:46I can try to show you.
32:48You can try to show us the general area, yeah.
32:50Okay.
32:51And where am I to pay?
32:54I can try to show you.
32:56Old East Rome.
32:59There's a road that parallels Dean Street, and it curves and goes up and go.
33:04There's an old cemetery up the hill.
33:08You turn left, Trendle or Tripple, something like Trendle.
33:12It's like that, man.
33:13That's Tumlin Drive.
33:14Tumlin, that's right.
33:16That was Tumlin Drive.
33:20I know that he will be charged with obstruction because he didn't run.
33:24He's unconscious.
33:29He hears things.
33:32He sees things.
33:35He hears things.
33:36He sees things.
33:39There's mentally yells to me.
33:40I'm going to go to the counter, huh?
33:51Let them fall through.
34:10We found Aaron's body.
34:16He has a massive amount of trauma, multiple, multiple stab wounds.
34:24His right arm looks to have been either completely severed or nearly completely severed.
34:31And he's got a large laceration going across his abdominal cavity, exposing his internal organs.
34:38None of us have ever seen anything like that.
34:48He needs to be watched full of sleep.
34:53That's not unthinkable that he hurt himself.
35:00That's fine.
35:10We'll take care of you.
35:12You are Miss Davis, correct?
35:13Yeah.
35:14Come on back here.
35:15If you'll just hang out just for a minute, okay?
35:18Right in here.
35:19Oh, I'm sorry.
35:20All right, you're good.
35:21I'm going to take a left from your lit office there.
35:22That's mine.
35:23I guess I could have turned the lights on out here.
35:27There we go.
35:28Have some.
35:30If you'll just hang out just for a minute, okay?
35:34Right in here. Oh, I'm sorry.
35:37I'm going to take a look at your lit office there.
35:41I guess I could have turned the lights on out here.
36:00Oh, my God. Why would he do that? Where's his body?
36:09We'll be taking him to the crime lab tonight, or to the morgue.
36:13The crime lab in the morning.
36:15So they will have a couple of days, and they'll get to the exact cost of it.
36:30My immediate reaction was a shock.
36:32I can't believe that this has happened.
36:34I unable to really process that whole thing.
36:41Oh, my God.
36:47I need help.
36:50I think it was ten times worse for my wife as Aaron's mother.
36:55The family needs help. Oh, my God.
37:00I felt betrayed.
37:06This is something that we had welcomed into the home, that had spent so much time with us.
37:12Brandon and Aaron were extremely close.
37:15Brandon had sort of become part of our family.
37:18I believe the last time that he had been to our home was about two weeks earlier.
37:22He was just part of the gang and part of our lives, and it wasn't something that I could have ever seen coming.
37:30I think...
37:42If Brandon had somehow gotten away with this, I have no doubt in my mind that he would have
38:01re-offended. If he could do this horrible crime to his best friend that he has known
38:08for so long, what could he do to someone that he doesn't know? I have no doubt that he had
38:16the makings to be a serial killer.
38:22The sentencing hearing was the first time that we saw Brandon face-to-face. A lot of
38:29information came out that we were not aware of and we learned for the first time. His
38:34psychological reports had finally been released to our DA the day before the
38:39sentencing hearing. I don't even know if all the things that he said were 100% true. The
38:42things that he said to his therapist or if he was just trying to come up with that
38:46with excuses or with things that would help him to get off the hook.
38:51Brandon said that God told him he had to do one of two things. That he either had to sleep
38:58with a family member or he had to kill Aaron. And Brandon, working through it in his own
39:06head, thought that killing Aaron would be less pleasurable for him and therefore the correct
39:14answer. I don't know what to think about that. The God I know is not going to tell me to kill
39:21somebody. I can't put myself in his mindset. So again, I can't believe everything that came
39:33out, but it is still shocking and unbelievable to hear those things.
39:36Aaron Davis was and is the love of my life. I could tell you a hundred love stories and it
39:51would not do justice to how wonderful he was. We wanted a wedding where both of our families
39:58could be together to celebrate. We wanted to be married for time and eternity. But because of a
40:05man he called his best friend, who surely would have been one of his groomsmen, Aaron and I will
40:13never have these opportunities.
40:27Of course, we're happy that he would not have the possibility of harming anyone else.
40:32But justice, I mean, I'll never see Aaron again in this life. And I'll never get to ask him about
40:44what happened that night and find out his story and know the real truth about what happened.
40:50We do appreciate the work that the police did and the DA did. They did everything they possibly could
40:54in terms of bringing as much justice as possible. But in our minds, I mean, we miss Aaron. We want him back.
41:09Aaron made me feel like the most beautiful girl in the world. Like there had never been another girl.
41:14I miss the way that I felt when I was with him. Like I was the center of the universe. And he was my son.
41:26Aaron's off.
41:37Amen.
41:40Yes.
41:41Yes.
