00:44But at the end of the day do I find my house hunters their dream place in the sun.
00:49It's just lovely the fact that the pool is just right outside your gate but you've got so much private space.

00:58Louise has been visiting the northern Costa Blanca from the age of five and her love for its beaches and towns has now rubbed off on Andrew.
01:05They're both looking to create happy memories with their children by buying a holiday home where they can continue Louise's family tradition.
01:12Louise and Andrew from Stirlingham Scotland have been married seven years and have three kids and two dogs.
01:19But it all started after connecting on a popular dating app.
01:23We met on Tinder.
01:25I swiped.

01:28I don't know, it's been so long.
01:29Told her I loved her on the first date.

01:34The one thing that I love about Andrew is that he makes everything fun.
01:38Like he has so much fun with the kids but yeah, he's caring too.
01:43I don't want you to just think you're laughing at it.
01:45But yeah, he does make our life a lot more interesting.
01:48With family and friends keen to visit and the northern Costa Blanca as the destination, Louise and Andrew have a budget of £200,000.
02:04Located in the eastern region of Spain, the northern Costa Blanca stretches 57 miles from Alicante to Denia.
02:11You can get here via Alicante or Valencia airports in around two and a quarter hours.
02:18With its sandy beaches, marinas and rocky coves, the northern part of the Costa Blanca is less developed than the southern end.
02:26And with 325 days of sunshine a year, it's a favourite with the Brits.
02:31Visitor numbers increasing year on year.
02:35We're going to be looking at the area around Javier.
02:38Once a sleepy fishing town but now a thriving neighbourhood with lots of amenities.
02:43Surrounded by natural landscapes and set against the stunning Montgo mountain.
02:48Prices on this part of the Spanish coastline can vary depending on where you are looking at.
02:52In Javier, known as the jewel in the crown of the Costa Blanca, typically a three bedroom apartment with a communal pool can cost around £260,000.
03:01However, by venturing out to a neighbouring complex, the same amount of money could get you a four to five bedroom detached villa.
03:07So I'm hoping my house hunters, if they're willing to venture out and explore, I can get them a great deal.
03:14Before we kick off this search, I'm meeting up with my house hunters on Arenal Beach at Javier, a place very familiar to Louise to find exactly what they're after.

03:54I mean, ideally you want a view of the sea or the mansion.

05:40As well as the historic Old Town, Javier has two other districts, the bustling port area
05:45and the modern beachfront neighbourhood, near to where our first property is located.
05:51Javier is a popular destination for expats, and there's a strong demand for property here.
05:56A three-bedroom flat with communal pool typically being around £300,000.
06:03However, if you're prepared for a bit of a longer walk to the amenities, there's still good value to be found.

12:36And I've got myself off to a great start by bagging myself my very first contender.
12:42My house hunters, Andrew and Louise, who have a max budget of 240,000 pounds,
12:47absolutely loved this ground floor duplex in Javier.
12:50It's a strong contender, but for their second property,
12:54they're now keen to see a house with a bit more outside space
12:57and a decent view is at the top of their wish list.
13:01So we've come to Terra Moraira, an urbanisation in the neighbourhood of Alcazar.
13:06It's more residential here than Javier, with property prices around 5-10% cheaper.
13:12Although we're further away from the action than the last property,
13:15I think there's a bargain to be had.

13:24It's pretty spectacular again, it's lovely.

13:29We are a little bit further inland, an 11 minute drive away to the beach,
13:33a 15 minute walk away from all your amenities.
13:36The area feels a bit quieter, I think it's nice.

13:51This bad boy certainly has that.

18:06of the coastal town of Denia.
18:08But before we see the property, we're heading down to the nearby Playa Les Bobetes to meet
18:13expat Luca and get the lowdown on local life.

18:22So I moved here when I was 10 years old.

18:25With mum and dad and my three older brothers.

18:28And moved from south London to sunny Spain.
18:31We noticed the other day when we were in town actually that there was like generations of
18:35family out for dinner.

18:37There was, which we really loved.
18:38So is that kind of generally how people live here?
18:41People when they grow up in Javier, they don't tend to leave Javier.
18:43So you can literally have the grandkids and the great grandparents, they'll all be going
18:47out to dinner together and, you know, the Sunday afternoons is a big, big thing here.

19:28Today I'm helping Louise and Andrew find their dream holiday home around the spectacular
19:32beaches of the northern Costa Blanca.
19:35And so far I've got myself two contenders, but I'm hoping to get myself some more.
19:40Working with a budget of £200,000 with wiggle room at £40,000, Andrew and Louise loved the
19:45inside and out of the first property.
19:49Despite the second property's amazing terrace views, there were concerns over easy access to
19:54the communal pool for the kids.
19:58With that firmly in mind, we've come to the outskirts of Denia, with our property a short
20:03walk from the beach.
20:05Although the cost of properties here are on the rise, it's more affordable as house prices
20:09are 25% less than Javier.
20:12So you get more bang for your buck.
20:14And I think this one is an absolute cracker.
20:18Just a short walk away from that lovely beach where we were at with Luca.
20:23The centre of Denia is literally around a 15 minute drive away from here.

27:24This property is a four bedroom, one bathroom, detached villa.
27:31The pool is a short walk away from the house, but there is an option to add your own private swimming pool similarly to your neighbours which they have done.

31:58lovely semi-detached villa on the outskirts of Denia.
32:01And I've still got one more property to show them.
32:04My house hunters, who have a maximum budget of £240,000, loved the Javier property as
32:10it's in their original chosen location.
32:12And the Denia property had great outside space.
32:15But what they really loved was its immediate access to the communal pool.
32:21I've got something a bit different to show them for their final place.
32:25But before we go there, I'm heading to the Benetechel area for a look at the top end of the market.
