00:51Bargain-loving Brits, in the sun!
00:56Today on the Costas...
00:57Unbelievable!
00:58Birthday boy Laurie gets more than he bargained for at Shaney's Ungdi's Emporium.
01:03Hope Laurie appreciates this.
01:05All this flowing.
01:07Oh, I do like a tractor!
01:08Mad about the goats, Jill has high hopes for her B&B's latest attraction.
01:13I always said I'd go off in the world!
01:17Can you get enough for a stage, please?
01:19Yes!
01:20And get your jazz hands ready for a glimmer and sparkle revival.
01:23How are you doing?
01:24She'll try your ass!
01:31I'm just gonna put these throws through...
01:33The Wash.
01:34I'm Jill.
01:35I live in a little town called Villanueva de la Concepcion, just outside Antiquiera.
01:40Easy for you to say.
01:42And then they're ready for tomorrow when the next guests are arriving.
01:48I run a little, what we call a Casa Rural, where I rent rooms out. I only have two, it's only small.
01:54For five years, alongside her B&B, the former probation officer ran coach tours.
02:00Right, here we are for the ives!
02:02Time away on the trips meant industrious Jill was neglecting the guest house.
02:06I'll take you places you've never been. Follow me.
02:09Promises, promises.
02:11To replace the coach tours, there's the savvy Jill's exploring a new scheme, closer to home, to tempt guests into staying longer instead.
02:19See, that's it. I'm not frightened of ice, I'm just frightened of falling.
02:21Today she's going all out on her grand plan, and it doesn't need a hard hat.
02:27It's wobbling!
02:32Today it's gonna be different. I've got Anne and Ellie coming round.
02:39I'm gonna have a go at making soap.
02:43I did an online course on soap making.
02:46I went to the farm and got some goat's milk and had a go at making goat's milk soap.
02:50And I've made some more since. And I've made other soaps and I quite enjoy it. I find it quite therapeutic.
02:55You're kidding.
02:56Fun fact, Malaga goats are some of the best in the world.
03:00So Jill's milking the region's assets, trialling farm tours and soap making for her guests.
03:06Sort of like doing a soap making workshop, but I'm still learning how to make soap as well.
03:13So it's, it's experience to me.
03:16But as a complete novice, she's had to nip out for an essential item she's forgotten.
03:21The most important thing I have to get is rubber gloves.
03:23My kitchen's only small and there'll be four of us in it at any one time.
03:29Don't know what size they are.
03:30Working with caustic soda today, so we'll just have to be very careful that nobody tips it, gets near it or anything like that.
03:36I'm sure something will go wrong.
03:40Well, have a little faith. You've got your safety equipment, that's rubber gloves to you and me.
03:45And some sweet treats. You just need some plucky volunteers to test the class out on.
03:50Oh, Chico. We're going to go in and start the soap making. Come on then, let's go. We've got to start. I've just been for some cake.
03:59Chico, a born and bred local, will also act as translator at the farm for Jill and her good pals, Anne and Ellie.
04:06I'm all right. That's all right, cos we're behind schedule as well, so come in.
04:20Anne and Ellie are golf widows today. Their husbands are playing golf, so they're coming here to play with soap.
04:27Of cake. Shall I get cake? You can get cake.
04:31And biscuits. And biscuits. That sounds like a party.
04:36A soap party. A soap party.
04:40I don't think they realise this yet, but Anne and Ellie and Chico are really just going to be giddy pigs to see whether it's going to work or not work.
04:49Right, this is the itinerary that's going to go wrong.
04:54I'm really quite looking forward to today, so watch this space.
04:58Let's get going.
05:03All this lovely sunshine and it's fray.
05:06And it's no secret us Brits love a bit of Spanish sun.
05:10Are you enjoying the kids? Yes!
05:12And me too. I am.
05:13This is as good as paradise is going to get it.
05:16Told you. It's so good, it makes us want to...
05:19Woo!
05:20Exactly, Joyce.
05:21We love Spain so much, we've come over all strictly.
05:25Ole!
05:26Whoa! Split! I can't do the split!
05:28The rhythm has well and truly got the costas.
05:31Yee-haw!
05:32Always look your partner lovingly in the eyes.
05:35That, or there's ants in our pants.
05:37Speaking of ants, hello.
05:39Let's get these legs going a bit of do-si-do, yee-haw!
05:42And in Benidorm, we're tripping the like fantastic back to when one couple were aiming to join the Costa Conga.
05:49Will! Sparkle!
05:51Time's getting on.
05:53We've never got to say what you're wearing tonight for the rumba classes, salsa classes.
05:58It's date night for Geordie husbands and entertainers Will and Steve.
06:02I am looking forward to seeing something different.
06:05Having a spin round the room.
06:07I'm looking forward to it. I've never done salsa before.
06:10Surprising when these golden boys have been stepping out together for an impressive 50 fabulous years.
06:16When we were talking about dancing, I said to Steve, why don't we try a salsa class?
06:21We've never done salsa.
06:23No, I am a little bit weary, but I'm looking forward to it.
06:27No, no, not nervous. I'm just excited about it.
06:30While they may have worked in the party mecca of the Med for almost 23 years,
06:35this busy pair have precious little time to themselves.
06:39By daytime by tour guides, taking holidaymakers out and about.
06:44Are you ready? One, two, three.
06:47And by nighttime, it's nighttime showtime for you and the impersonator work,
06:52and Steve is compared for my shows at nighttime.
06:55I'm the performer. I come out to a rapturous applause.
07:00My stage name is Will Sparkle because I will sparkle.
07:04Oh, very good. But they both bedazzle, Benidorm.
07:07And mine is Steve Glimmer.
07:10It's a sparkly glimmer.
07:12Once the sun's gone down, that's when I become Perky.
07:16Well, Perky, your husband becomes Dame Shirley.
07:20I call this one my Calvary's fake dress.
07:23It's a beautiful dress, but I have about 30 or 40 different ones.
07:28But this is... I change them.
07:30I can use this for when I'm doing Shirley Bassey.
07:33Well, Goldfinger, you'll never be short on outfits for a whirl as Shirley.
07:37But the sequins will stay in the closet tonight.
07:40That's a nice one for Salsa. Maybe that one.
07:43Will and Steve may share a bed, but there's no chance of sharing a wardrobe.
07:47This is my domain. Yes, of course, I'll do without Sparkle to come in.
07:51But I spend a lot of time here because I do a lot of things behind the scenes for the shows
07:56and, of course, for the other work as well, for Benidorm Holiday.
07:59And what do they call it, these, when they've got these outside
08:02and the men go out and drink all day, the man caves and whatnot, isn't it?
08:06Well, I suppose this is a bit of a gay cave, really.
08:09And very nice it is, too.
08:11But you need to get out of your cave and into your gladbracks.
08:14Hey, we're ready for action.
08:16Ready for Salsa.
08:18Oh, these are wonderful dancing shoes, these.
08:26Peyton Gleather. Peyton Gleather dancing shoes on the charity shops.
08:30I can't complain. I'm very, very comfy.
08:32Mine is in the charity shop. I must have made.
08:34And look, my Christmas present of Steve.
08:36I've got some lovely shoes, which I thought I'd put on for the first time tonight.
08:40For our Salsa Club.
08:42Oh, brave. I always like to break in my new dance shoes, personally.
08:46OK, then, Steve. Better get off, cos our Salsa teacher's waiting for us.
08:50Ooh! Freyland will be waiting.
08:52And we don't want to delay the Salsa teacher.
08:54You need to hot-foot it, fellas. Anderley! Anderley!
08:57OK, come on, let's go. Let's get off.
09:03Coming up!
09:04Could you be back by 10.30 in a minute? No later.
09:08Shop girl Shaney's full of surprises for lover boy Laurie.
09:11What he doesn't know is that our friends are flying over from the UK.
09:16And enterprising Jill gets her class slaving over a hot, erm, soap.
09:21I wasn't expecting it to be so labour intensive, no.
09:24Well, that was our 20 minutes work.
09:38Yes.
09:39Well, there's no need to overdo it at the shop today, Laurie.
09:42It's Laurie's birthday!
09:44I won't tell you his age, but, yeah, it's his birthday, so we're celebrating today.
09:50Shame we have to work, but, obviously, needs must.
09:55Those undies won't sell themselves, Shaney.
09:57So we only work once a week on a Sunday.
10:00And if, like, a birthday falls on a Sunday, hey-ho, we've got to work,
10:03we've got to make a living.
10:05But we make the most of it and enjoy ourselves after work,
10:08and during work we always have fun.
10:10Undepreneur Shaney has been mesmerised by former hypnotherapist Laurie
10:15since they met on holiday in 2004.
10:18Laurie's my world, you know, like, er,
10:21I've waited all my life to meet the man of my dreams.
10:24We might be busy today, so could you be back by 10.30 in a minute?
10:29No later.
10:30I certainly can, ma'am.
10:32Laurie is my yin to my yang.
10:34He just makes me laugh every day.
10:37Yeah, I'll go now, take the dogs out, and then I'll be back after.
10:41I'm the one that want it, I want it now, I want to do this, I want to do that,
10:44and he's the more karma influence on me.
10:46I know it's your birthday, but you've still got to work and do as you're told.
10:50So it's lovely that we bring both things to the table.
10:53Undeniably the perfect pair.
10:56So, now that he's gone, let me tell you what we've got on for today.
11:01So, Anne's coming in any minute now, got her in early so she can put all his happy birthday,
11:09the balloons, the banners, and then what he doesn't know is that our friends are flying
11:16over from the UK, so, yeah, he's got no idea.
11:21They'll make this year's celebrations extra special.
11:25There are more surprises planned for tonight, but my lips are sealed.
11:29Morning!
11:32I need my jacket a lift if you want.
11:34Oh, did you? Oh, my boy.
11:36Oh, you have, yeah, so you have.
11:39So, Anne's going to put... Laurie's gone, so we're going to now decorate the shop.
11:43I think that Laurie will be quite emotional about the surprises today.
11:48I am very romantic and I love giving surprises anyway
11:53and mostly every year I do something for him.
11:56I'm not going to have enough blow to do this one, look.
11:59Oh!
12:00But I think this is one of the best things I've done so far,
12:03especially with Lisa and Gerry coming over from the UK.
12:06He would just be over the moon.
12:08You take one in, Shaney, so we can see what we've got.
12:12Bear with me. I've got a few more blows.
12:14Where do you want to stick it?
12:16Keep it clean, Shaney.
12:18I won't tell you.
12:20He's got no idea what I'm doing.
12:22He doesn't expect anything and, yeah, I just think he'll be overwhelmed
12:27and so happy to see what I've done for him.
12:30I hope Laurie appreciates this, all this blowing.
12:34Well, it is his birthday.
12:36Wa-da!
12:38We've started getting busy in half an hour,
12:40so it's like put the pressure on to get all the decorations up
12:43so we're ready to sort of start selling.
12:46Chop-chop, ladies.
12:48With the market filling up, time is running out.
12:52I've been done with your gloves.
12:53Right, grab yourselves.
12:55We need gloves, really, just for health and safety
12:58because this is what essential oil can do.
13:01Because it's that strong, it's melted the plastic.
13:05Talk about a kitchen sink drama.
13:07Outside Malaga, B&B owner, Jill,
13:09hopes her bold new soap-making class
13:11helps make up the income shortfall from dropping her coach sauce.
13:15To make the soap, it's like baking a cake, really, making soap.
13:19You've got some lavender.
13:21Oh, lavender, lovely.
13:22And lemon.
13:23You get all your ingredients together,
13:25all your different oils, your butters, your essential oils.
13:29And there's some oats here, if anybody wanted to.
13:33Take a bit and add oats as well.
13:36And then you measure your lye, what they call lye in the soap trade,
13:40which is your caustic soda.
13:42Right, now, do you want to stir your soaps?
13:44It's very milky.
13:46And then you've got to get it, like, mixing a cake
13:50where you've got to get it to the right consistency,
13:52and it's what they call trace.
13:54Then we can mould it.
13:55So, I'll put mine over here, whichever way.
13:58Ellie, Anne and Chico are the test subjects
14:01for this latest enterprise.
14:03If Jill can make a success of it,
14:05she can market the workshop as a new attraction at the B&B.
14:09I might have made this a bit too strong.
14:12For that deeper clean?
14:13That's ginger.
14:15You're OK with your eucalyptus?
14:18That's a very personal question, Ellie.
14:20Oh, you nearly did it.
14:22Nearly did it.
14:24I've never made soap.
14:26It's really interesting, the process and what goes into it
14:30and how accurate it has to be in measurement.
14:35Who knew that soap would just gel so quickly?
14:39Who knew it was made out of milk and...
14:41Still getting my head round that.
14:43It's looking OK, but I wish it could thicken up
14:46a bit quicker than it is doing.
14:48It's given me some muscles.
14:51Well, I don't know what I expected, but anyway,
14:55the pupils are very good, they're very...
14:57I mean, they even brew up without being asked.
15:00And they're all going to go on with some soaps,
15:02and the main soap, the proper goat's milk soap,
15:04we're just trying to get that to trace now.
15:06I wasn't expecting it to be so labour-intensive, no.
15:10Once thick enough, the mixture's put in the fridge to set.
15:13I don't want to fill any of it.
15:16Sorry, guys, ladies.
15:18You've heard of pigs in blankets?
15:20This is soap in blankets.
15:22Very good.
15:24Fingers crossed they should be ready for where we come back
15:26from the farm.
15:27OK.
15:28To come out the morning.
15:29Everything crossed.
15:30I think there's a lot to be improved on with the salt-making workshop.
15:34There's not enough room in that kitchen.
15:36Maybe next time we'll try the kitchen upstairs,
15:38because there's a bit more work surface.
15:41I think it's got possibilities.
15:45It's got possibilities to turn into something.
15:48But I need to do a bit more research on it.
15:51No time for a debrief, Jill.
15:53You're running late for the farm tour.
15:55Now we're heading off to the goat farm,
15:59where we can meet the goats, hopefully.
16:02Milk a goat, maybe.
16:04Eat cheese and drink wine.
16:06Well, you know what they say, Jill.
16:08It ain't easy being cheesy.
16:13While B&B owner-turned-soap-maker Jill dares to chase her dream,
16:17how many of us Brits are brave enough
16:19to turn a passion into a profession?
16:22I always wanted to be a nurse,
16:23and I just retired after 45 years of nursing.
16:26Well, you found your callings to leave.
16:28When I was a kid,
16:29I probably wanted to be a footballer or something,
16:31but now I'm a teacher.
16:32Getting our kids on the right footing's a noble cause, Neil.
16:35When I was younger,
16:36I wanted to be a bricklayer when I left school.
16:38But as it is now,
16:40I've gone down the factory route,
16:42and I've been in the factory for 30 years.
16:45Did they let you out for good behaviour?
16:47I didn't want to be a nurse.
16:48Did you?
16:49Yeah.
16:50But I work in a GP practice,
16:51but I'm not a nurse.
16:52Well, it's close enough, Cheryl.
16:53When I was younger,
16:54when I was in school,
16:55I wanted to read the Welsh news,
16:57but now I work in a hospital.
16:59I'm a cardiac physiologist.
17:01Well, it's all Welsh to me, Helen.
17:03I wanted to be a footballer.
17:05That was my ultimate dream.
17:07Get yourself in the Saturday leagues.
17:09When I was a kid,
17:10I wanted to be an accountant,
17:11and I've ended up being a supervisor for Greg's.
17:15Well, we thank you for your service, John.
17:19Meanwhile, in Benidorm.
17:20Come on, we'll miss our lesson.
17:22Come on.
17:23Busy entertainers,
17:24Will and Steve,
17:25are carving time out of their usual routine
17:27to discover a brand new one.
17:30Salsa.
17:31Hola.
17:32Encantado.
17:33Encantado.
17:34Encantado.
17:35Hola.
17:36Led by professional dancers Domi and Joni.
17:39I think it's important to get out there and try and enjoy.
17:43Do you have dance before?
17:44No.
17:45I dance always, but never salsa.
17:47Good, good.
17:48Not first time.
17:49Very good, perfect.
17:50We have to live our lives in the daytime.
17:52We have to for jobs.
17:53But when the sun goes down,
17:55that is when I feel at home.
17:58Salsa.
17:59We have eight times.
18:00And then six steps.
18:01It's that big.
18:02Big big, big girl.
18:03And one more.
18:04Four more.
18:05Thanks.
18:06Well, they work hard so they can play hard.
18:09We're still able to enjoy life,
18:12and we're still young in Benidorm.
18:15I think it's 64 years too young.
18:17Looking lively and light in the loafers tonight.
18:19I just love the lights, the music.
18:22Oh, okay.
18:24I just don't want to sit in the bar drinking.
18:33And why would you with moves like those?
18:35I can't sit still.
18:36I have your hips.
18:37My hips are fine.
18:39And they don't lie, Will.
18:41Okay.
18:42Okay.
18:43I love dancing.
18:44I love movement.
18:45Obviously, at 62, I don't do what I did when I was 42,
18:49but I do enjoy dancing.
18:51Well, come on, snake hips.
18:52Show us your moves.
18:53Oh.
18:54Now, this is better when you just do your own thing.
18:58Age's mage.
18:59The rhythm's well and truly got you two.
19:02Well, very interesting.
19:03I mean, I don't think I'll be entering any competition in this,
19:06but it's interesting to learn the steps.
19:08Am I natural?
19:09No.
19:10But I'm trying.
19:12I'm trying.
19:13And who doesn't love a tryer?
19:19Well, you're steady.
19:20You'll have someone's eye out.
19:24They make it look easy, but very much more difficult.
19:27People see salsa and they think it's really easy.
19:29But I'm more of a freestyle.
19:31Freestyle.
19:32Freestyle salsa.
19:33Oh.
19:39Maybe a few of those moves will make it into your drag act as Will Sparkle.
19:43Up, two, stop, and five, six, eight, slow.
19:48What we've learned so far is excellent.
19:51I think I might be back next week.
19:53But until then, it's back to the day job
19:55and a promising new booking on the horizon to prepare for.
19:58Coming up.
20:04I just want to make sure that you're going to be here at 11.
20:07Don't be late.
20:08Party planner Shane is full of surprises for Laurie's big day.
20:12Ta-da.
20:14I find it fascinating how they stand and stare at you.
20:17And enterprising Jill and the gang are milking her latest excursions.
20:21So what happened?
20:22I've got milk.
20:28Can you go and give that one to Brian while we're doing that?
20:35Yeah.
20:36Okay, I'll be done, Tyler.
20:37Yeah.
20:38I think my husband's got more wind choice here than I do.
20:41Charming.
20:43In Casada, shop girl Shaney's bra emporium is bursting with excitement.
20:48Ahead of Laurie's surprise party, with best mates flying in especially.
20:52It's been so difficult to keep it a secret because I've known with Lisa and Jerry for about three months.
20:58And I keep wanting to say something and I have to keep biting my tongue because it's so difficult.
21:03I keep getting annoyed with myself.
21:07The last balloon.
21:08The last balloon.
21:09Hallelujah.
21:10And it's a big one.
21:11Oh.
21:12Oh.
21:15It's exciting and I'm so happy for him but I'm glad when it's going to be over.
21:19Because then it's out in the open and we can all enjoy it.
21:24That's good.
21:26Looking great, Shaney.
21:28We have a nine, Shaney, if you have a nine.
21:31Okay.
21:33See if she wants these.
21:35I'm going to do, I think, six there and nine here, Anne.
21:39Well, the cat's out of the bag with Laurie's age then.
21:42We've been quite busy at work the last few weeks.
21:45So I've been doing lots of orders, lots of social media and been really actually getting busy trying to organise Laurie's birthday.
21:53Uh oh, you have saved a date.
21:55Oh, I love, alright?
21:56I'm good.
21:57How are you?
21:58It's very nice.
22:00With Laurie due in 30 minutes, Shaney's called in the emergency support squad to hit her tight deadline.
22:06So, now, let's work.
22:08Business starts now.
22:09Because, yeah, business starts now.
22:11So, if you can start hanging, I'll get Pam to help you hang and then we can put all these away and get ready.
22:20Sweethearts Shaney and Laurie met 19 years ago and work hard to keep that spark alive with surprises like this one.
22:27We still have date nights.
22:31We still make it romantic even though we're together 24-7 because although you're living together, you still have got your own little things to do.
22:39Now we're ready for business.
22:40We're ready for Laurie.
22:41So, he'll be here at half past ten.
22:43And then at 11, our friends are arriving from the UK to surprise him.
22:47He's such a lucky boy.
22:49Assuming all goes like clockwork, timings are crucial.
22:53Hi, Lisa.
22:54Where are you?
22:55I just want to make sure that you're going to be here at 11.
22:59Don't be late.
23:00Um, you know where I've left the cake?
23:03Get the cake.
23:04He's got no idea you and Jerry are coming.
23:06After months of planning, this is also a big thank you to Laurie for all the support he's given Shaney's bra business.
23:13Girls, you ready?
23:14Let's have a look.
23:16Ta-da!
23:17Oh, brilliant!
23:18Yeah.
23:19Costa's most wanted.
23:21Ta-da!
23:23That's the icing on the cake.
23:24Well, if there was one, there's still no sign of Lisa or the cake and Laurie's early.
23:30Stand by your bras, ladies.
23:32Happy birthday!
23:36Unbelievable.
23:37Happy birthday!
23:38Amazing.
23:39Who is this handsome man?
23:40I don't recognise him.
23:41That must have taken a lot of work.
23:48How come I haven't got one?
23:49Right, back to work.
23:50That's it for you.
23:51Er, not quite.
23:52Turn around, Laurie.
23:53Best mates Jerry and Lisa have made it.
23:56Impressed you've remembered not just the cake, but your honorary uniform, Lisa.
24:01Right!
24:03Happy birthday!
24:04We've come for your birthday!
24:05Oh!
24:06Unbelievable!
24:07What are you two doing here?
24:08Unbelievable!
24:09And you thought we'd forgotten?
24:11They were absolutely amazing.
24:13I really wasn't expecting it, actually.
24:15It was just fantastic.
24:17The t-shirts were the best.
24:18They were just super.
24:19Time to cut the cake then, eh?
24:21But it was all lovely and real surprise.
24:23And really, she really got me.
24:25Are you ready?
24:26Would you like some cake, girls?
24:27Ooh, let there be cake as well.
24:28Ooh!
24:29Everything got me, actually.
24:30Mind you, she's pretty good at that.
24:32Shane is serving up even more surprises later.
24:35Would you like a little bit or a big bit?
24:37I won't answer there.
24:39Right.
24:40All the way along.
24:43Getting best pals Jerry and Lisa here in time was the real sweetener today.
24:46I met Lisa when I worked for the National Guardian in London.
24:50And I've now known her for 43 years.
24:53Ooh!
24:54Nice!
24:55Really nice, isn't it?
24:57And we've gone through things together and we've stayed tight.
25:01And, er, I couldn't wish for a better friend.
25:04Beautiful.
25:05Beautiful.
25:06Really lovely.
25:07To have them here for his birthday and to be with all our other friends tonight.
25:12Shh!
25:13He might hear you.
25:14We're going to have to take these down really properly soon.
25:16What more could Laurie want?
25:18Er, more surprises.
25:20See you later.
25:21Oh!
25:22Well, you're coming under me!
25:23Oh, yeah!
25:24I thought she'd be homeless.
25:26Time to get the ball rolling on phase two of Shaney's.
25:30Secret Celebrations.
25:32Let's go!
25:33Let's go!
25:34Oh, my penalty!
25:35Come here.
25:36More come and wise.
25:37We could take more come and wise.
25:39Make sure you tie your laces, right?
25:44The axle's tripping up.
25:46It's back grafting for husbands Will and Steve.
25:49Or should I say...
25:50Sparkle and glimmer.
25:52I'd rather like to take this.
25:54Because you look like an air horse dress, that's why.
25:56Steve's bagged a brand new booking for Will's Drag Race.
25:59Just three minutes from their apartment.
26:02I worked in, I think, nearly every bar and bedroom.
26:05And this one's going to be another one for us.
26:08Got the frocks.
26:09Got the lights.
26:10Let's get on.
26:11A big part of our business is being able to adapt the show to the venues.
26:16A lot of research is done beforehand.
26:18Their show has to work seamlessly in the new space.
26:22Tonight's show is quite important.
26:24Because he's already asked us, can we do a night a week?
26:27Even before we've seen us.
26:29So the pressure's on to, uh, sparkle?
26:32Got my favourite shirt on.
26:34Pink to make the boys wink.
26:35More like the granddads.
26:37A big part of our business is being able to adapt the show to the venues.
26:42A lot of research is done beforehand.
26:44I've got to sort out where I'm going to stand, where I'm going to get changed.
26:49Oh, look.
26:50It's lovely.
26:51It's nice and everything.
26:52It's lovely.
26:53Oh, Leo.
26:54Welcome.
26:55Oh.
26:56Hola.
26:57Hola.
26:58Hola.
26:59Todo bien.
27:00Todo bien.
27:01Si, muy bien.
27:02Gracias.
27:03It's your house.
27:04It's my house.
27:05Oh, let's go.
27:06Here we go.
27:07While Will sorts out his wardrobe, Steve's doing a sound check.
27:11Oh, steady, Steve.
27:13Health and safety.
27:14What I do is, oh, just like glue, really, gluing it all together.
27:18I do the music.
27:20I compare.
27:21I give a little bit of information about the next act that's coming up.
27:25Yes, the public can see me here.
27:28I've got a headgeist which has come to about here.
27:31As you can see, I'm going to hit the door.
27:34So, I'm going to very delicately, hazardly sort of go like this.
27:39I'm just going to come down here and meet my public.
27:43Meet the sparklets.
27:45But hold up.
27:46There's a problem at.
27:48I think it might be the why the connection's not correct.
27:51We've tried mine.
27:52I've tried his.
27:53There's something fishy that we can't get my hands on.
27:56What do you best get reeling?
27:58There's less than three hours to get it fixed or this regular gig will be a goner.
28:02One shoe.
28:03One shoe.
28:04One shoe.
28:05One shoe.
28:06One shoe.
28:07One shoe.
28:08One shoe.
28:09One shoe.
28:10Two shoe.
28:11One shoe.
28:12One shoe.
28:13One shoe.
28:14My favourite pet out of my tribe is Freya.
28:19One shoe.
28:20One shoe.
28:21Freya is three years old. She is the softest girl, loves to cuddle, always there for me
28:28when I'm having a bad day. Just a big heap of fun is Freya. Don't tell the others because
28:34they will get jealous. Freya is very protective of me. Just in her, she follows me everywhere.
28:46She's very clingy, she's very needy. Everywhere I go, Freya goes. Say good morning. Say good
28:54morning. The least favourite thing about Freya is passing gas. She is absolutely rotten,
28:59she stinks. She is no lady when she does that.
29:02North of Malaga, goat-loving Jill's brought her gang to a traditional cheese farm in her
29:18village. The scenery is just absolutely stunning. Meanwhile, their homemade goat milk soap is
29:26hopefully setting. Today is a goat day, because I like goats. Well, I'd never have guessed. I read
29:32that in Malaga province, just Malaga province, there are around 1,500 goat farms. The climate
29:40and terrain is perfect for grazing, so these beauties are a valuable asset.
29:45Since giving up her coach tours, this farm could be a moneymaker for Jill too.
29:54I'm hoping that we can come to some arrangement where I can bring guests and have this as an
29:59activity for people staying at my Casa Rural, say four people. If they agree and her guinea
30:06pigs today are impressed, the soap making and goat farm visit could be a way to tempt any guests
30:12to stay longer and pay extra.
30:18My Lula could be a goat. Where she looks and stands sometimes.
30:26I love it. I love it. I just, it's just like, they've just got such character.
30:35I just find it fascinating how they stand and stare at you.
30:37Go ahead.
30:38They're probably thinking the same, Jill.
30:39They're curious, aren't they?
30:40Yeah, very curious.
30:42Isabel say, now, we go to, we go to milk one goat, by hands.
30:48Uh, isn't that a dog, Chico? Oh, I see, sorry.
30:52Oh, heck. She doesn't look too keen. Oh, and he's done that before.
30:58Jill, you want to try? But you need to be here. I'll stroke it.
31:02Well, I don't think stroking is how it's done.
31:09Okay. So, what happened?
31:11I've got milk.
31:12Well, can I just say that her little teat was red hot.
31:17That'll be all that stroking.
31:21I have milked a cow before, so, erm, yeah, I managed to do the goat.
31:26Yay, yay, yay!
31:30Yeah, yeah, yeah, you can try.
31:33No, you don't need to be that deep, just the top.
31:35Yeah, yeah, yeah.
31:37Of course, it's human.
31:39It's like cream.
31:40Well, it doesn't get fresher than that.
31:42Jill and her friends have had an access all areas pass today.
31:46Oh, wow!
31:49Quanto litros?
31:51500 litros.
31:53Five to 600 litres of milk going every day to net cheese.
31:57I have to say, I'm speechless.
32:00I really am lost for words.
32:01I'm just...
32:02They've really gone out of the way to show us around everything.
32:05The farmer was here.
32:08You know?
32:10That's good.
32:12Down to the goats, all the different ages of the goats.
32:16Milk a goat.
32:21It's just a bit mind-blowing.
32:22I am amazed.
32:23Oh, it just reminds me of being a child again and visiting my uncle's farm.
32:27Just fun.
32:28Real fun.
32:30Yay!
32:32I always said I'd go up in the world.
32:36I think if we could put this together as an activity for the Casa Rural,
32:40we're on a winner.
32:41Oh, I do like a tractor.
32:44It's certainly the start of something to work on.
32:48I'm really... I'm excited and looking forward to this.
32:50I really am.
32:51My cheeks are hurting because I'm smiling.
32:56While the farm visits look promising,
32:58can the same be said for Jill's soap-making workshops?
33:02It does just be for your looks as if she's been through a car wash.
33:07Veteran drag queen, Will Sparkle, debuts at a new venue later.
33:11A stone's throw from their Benidorm apartment.
33:14I'm already plucked. Look, Branka feel that.
33:17Ably assisted by wardrobe mistress and good mate, Branka.
33:21You're looking very nice tonight, aren't you? Sparkling.
33:24Yeah.
33:25While the season's star prepares to entertain husband Steve struggling with a sound issue backstage.
33:31It's something very, very simple. Very simple.
33:35Like so many of these things are, aren't they? So, so simple.
33:39Don't do yourself down, Steve. You're quite the bright spark.
33:43It was just the wires in the wrong place. We just changed them around.
33:46We tried everything else. Just changed the wires around.
33:50Phew, that's a relief. Well, if all goes well, it could mean a regular booking.
33:54Ready to sparkle. Ready for showbiz. You never know what night's going to bring to you then. You never know.
34:04Despite decades of experience in entertainment, you're only as good as your last show.
34:09Yeah, it's 60 seconds to change. So, er, sometimes it's very good, sometimes it's not.
34:16After you've done Dolly, can we get my tights on?
34:18Yes, of course we can.
34:20Things are shaping up nicely.
34:22Can we get my false speech, please?
34:25False speech.
34:26Ta-da!
34:27Ta-da!
34:29Our own drama, please.
34:31We're sparking it in, gentlemen!
34:34And before you can say, look at that whopping headdress, it's showtime.
34:39Oh, hello!
34:41How are you doing, Cheetah?
34:42Are you all right?
34:45As per the last 20-something years, we enjoy working.
34:49Obviously we can't do as much as we'd like to do, because in my head I'm still very young, but obviously your body gets a little bit older.
34:58After 50 years performing, this veteran Brit's still got talent.
35:02One, two.
35:04Thank you, guys!
35:05Thank you, guys!
35:11We're celebrating!
35:13We're celebrating!
35:15We're celebrating!
35:16Congratulations!
35:17But will that stellar performance seal the deal for your weekly slot?
35:21What?
35:22I think the audience enjoyed it.
35:23I think it was a lovely car.
35:24Being a new venue, it's always typical at the first time.
35:27But I think the public enjoyed it.
35:29I even got flowers off one lane.
35:31It is...
35:32I got flowers!
35:34Are they my flowers?
35:35They're your flowers.
35:36They're already gone.
35:38Well, your bar debut was blooming marvelous.
35:41You got the gig!
35:42So it's time to salsa the night away to celebrate.
35:48Coming up...
35:50It's pins, grins and wins at Laurie's surprise birthday party.
35:54Oh, no, Brad!
35:57Do you know what GOAT stands for?
35:59And is the greatest goat lover of all time Jill's latest enterprise a success?
36:04Three, two, one.
36:06There you go.
36:12Arriba o centro eva o dentro.
36:18Us Brits never say no to a cheese and wine party.
36:21Even in the Malaga Hills.
36:23I learned something today.
36:25Do you know what GOAT stands for?
36:28In today's modern world of texting, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera.
36:32Oh, no.
36:33GOAT, greatest of all times.
36:36Well, could Jill's new attractions become the greatest of all time for paying guests as her B&B?
36:42Everyone happy?
36:43Very happy.
36:44Oh, wow.
36:46I'm actually quite upset.
36:47It's coming to an end.
36:49I'm a bit sad.
36:50I'm very sad, actually.
36:51I'm feeling up.
36:53I really didn't want it to end.
36:54It's just been such a perfect day.
36:57Here we go.
36:58Now we're going to put it in the cold.
37:03Thank you very much.
37:05Very good.
37:06Just hope the salt carries on and lives up to it.
37:08Just hope the salt doesn't let us down at the end.
37:12So do I think.
37:14The salt should have a good 24 hours of room temperature to set.
37:18Fingers crossed, popping them in Jill's fridge did the job.
37:22Three, two, one.
37:24There you go.
37:26They're down.
37:27They look to have set.
37:28Oh, they're set, Jill.
37:29They're set.
37:30Oh, yes.
37:31Yes.
37:32It's not bad for a first go.
37:33I think the soap could work.
37:36Doing the soap could work.
37:38Just don't do the two.
37:39Yeah, just do one.
37:40Just do this.
37:41Do one and maybe concentrate more on doing, er, adding colours.
37:46Things like that.
37:47Oh, there you go.
37:48There's your soaps.
37:49But the gang has also made a big batch of goat's milk soap that hasn't set.
37:54This won't be ready to tick out of the mould yet.
37:59Well, you'll be hard pushed to lose that bar in the shower anyway, Chico.
38:04Wow, nice.
38:06I think this is a very good idea.
38:08This is a good chance to offer the guests the things we have around.
38:14This is good for everyone, you know.
38:18Oh, that is gorgeous.
38:20Well, when it's ready, you can have a piece.
38:22The day was absolutely fantastic.
38:26Mind-blowing.
38:27Absolutely mind-blowing.
38:29What a day.
38:30If that was a starter to what she wants to do, it will definitely take off.
38:36Definitely.
38:37I think she will make a success of it.
38:38Yes.
38:39I really do.
38:40See you, Chico.
38:41See you later.
38:42I'll let you out.
38:43Bye.
38:44I think today has been an exceptional day.
38:47It really, really has.
38:49You're in the farm and visiting that.
38:51And the girls were just superb.
38:55Chico was.
38:56The family at the farm were absolutely unbelievable.
38:59So proud.
39:00And so proud to show us round.
39:02It's lovely to feel a part of it.
39:05Mwah!
39:06I think after today, I'm definitely the greatest of all time.
39:09After today, I think I've met two or three people very happy.
39:13Jill, I'd say this new venture of yours could clean up.
39:17Yeah, I know.
39:18Yeah, this is totally weird.
39:19They're going to say straight through us, you know, don't they?
39:20So we've just arrived at bowling, ready for the bowling party for Laurie's birthday today.
39:33Original Essex girl Shaney's final surprise sounds right up my alley.
39:38With more mates to join the fun.
39:40Brad, our friend, is a very good bowler indeed.
39:42I've never seen him bowl before.
39:44So this could be very interesting.
39:46And Gerry and I have a little competition actually every time we play,
39:49which is about once every five or ten years.
39:51And on cue, set competitors.
39:54It's a really lovely way to have a birthday, isn't it?
39:56I mean, in Spain, you've got the, you know, blue skies.
39:59Everything's just such a nice atmosphere anyway.
40:02Just a lovely little chill out end of the day.
40:04It's really good.
40:05Hello!
40:07Oh, lovely to see you!
40:10Shaney's pulled out all the stops to give the love of her life, Laurie, a birthday to remember.
40:15By getting the old gang back together.
40:18I'm just so pleased for his day today because he deserves it.
40:22He's a good, kind man.
40:24So, let the good times roll.
40:26How are we going to play this, Shaney?
40:28Off we go. Girls against the boys.
40:30Winners by the drinks.
40:32Winners by the drinks?
40:33We're not going to win, are we?
40:35So, it's definitely winners. You're going to bite the drink.
40:38Good luck.
40:39I'm recharging the computer for the scoring.
40:41Here we go.
40:42Lul, are you ready?
40:44Okay, you do it together, alright?
40:45We'll do it together.
40:46So, we have to go, right.
40:48One, two, three, go.
40:51We're all competitive. We all, you know, like the challenge, all want to win.
41:02Although, I'm useless.
41:04But some of them probably will be better than others.
41:06So, we're just going to have to see who wins tonight.
