00:00Beautiful St. Lucia, the venue for this Super 8 clash between South Africa and England.
00:11It is the first day game at this venue, the Darren Sammy Cricket Ground, in this tournament.
00:17The weather is set fair, there's a cool-ish breeze blowing across the ground.
00:22It is still warm out there.
00:24And England have put in some performance against the host West Indies a couple of nights ago
00:29against undefeated South Africa.
00:32It should be one heck of a clash, it really should.
00:35Two sides who know each other well.
00:37Josh Butler won the toss again and again, he said, we will have a chase.
00:41Bowl first, 10.30 start.
00:45It was a mention of moisture, but there's not a lot of moisture in that pitch now.
00:54I've got an opening batter and an opening bowler next to me, Michael Atherton and Dale Steyndale.
00:58What did you make of that South African change, the one change?
01:01Yeah, just the one change, Oetniel Bartman in for Shamsie.
01:04It's a good change, Oetniel Bartman being one of the standout bowlers for South Africa this World Cup.
01:09He's come back in on a flatter, better batting surface.
01:12South Africa's batters scored some runs the other day.
01:14Quinta Dukoc was in with the runs.
01:16Aidan Markram got going.
01:18Klaassen and Stubbs also, and the bowlers have been good.
01:21Keshav, Rabada bowled well the other night, as well as Norkia.
01:24So South Africa looked good for this contest today.
01:28Mike, Atherton England unchanged, unsurprisingly, with the way they played.
01:31Absolutely no surprise, given that thumping win against West Indies here the other evening.
01:37So an unchanged team, and a team that is playing with a little more confidence now,
01:41after a frustrating start with rain-affected games.
01:46They're coming to form at the right time.
01:49Topley with the first ball.
01:58Started a fraction straight against the West Indies.
02:01There was that swing down the leg side, he was widened a couple of times.
02:04Let's see if he can get his line spot on.
02:13Can he get it past mid-on?
02:15He does.
02:15There was no dive at all from Joffre Archer.
02:19He's been out there for about four or five deliveries.
02:28He's just on to read the play.
02:29South Africa can't let these overs slip by.
02:33Monali's been on the money so far.
02:34Maybe just overpitching a little bit on this occasion.
02:39Finding it on the bounce and being able to get it down the ground for a boundary.
02:42Up and over, long off is there, over his head, just over his head.
02:50That is really good from Quinton de Kopp.
02:52They need some boundaries, they've got it in the last two deliveries of Monali's over.
02:56Fourteen for none.
03:01That's beautifully timed, this, by Quinton de Kopp.
03:05He knows that he's got the strength once he gets that near the middle of the bat, which he does.
03:11Holds his shape and just times it away.
03:13That's that shot I was talking about.
03:22Fine leg was in play for a while.
03:24That's the shot that he loves playing against Archer.
03:27It's just a pick up on the arc of the bat.
03:30Yeah, that's exactly where Quinton de Kopp wants it.
03:34And Athens was alluding to it.
03:36Archer does ball nice and straight.
03:38His action is pretty much up and down,
03:40which means that his lines are always going to be straight.
03:43It allows Quinton to just get across to off stump
03:45and allows that bat of his to pick up and flow to the leg side.
03:49England recognising that with third man up and two men back on the leg side.
03:53Deep square and fine leg.
03:54But that doesn't bother Quinton de Kopp.
03:57That's South Africa's second six of the innings.
04:00Down the pitch, hit downwind and belted.
04:06That's going to be their third six and all off the bat of Quinton de Kopp.
04:10Fantastic shot this over wide long on or deep mid wicket.
04:15The point that we're making about Archer is
04:16we often speak about him being a very good bowler to left-handers
04:20in test match cricket or first class cricket.
04:22But what makes him so good,
04:25the fact that he can pitch the ball on the tram line,
04:28stump to stump, actually plays into the hands of Quinton de Kopp in this format,
04:34given de Kopp strength over the leg side.
04:37Where does Archer go here?
04:40He's bowled his stock length and it's been flicked for six.
04:43He's gone fuller and it's been belted for six.
04:48Down the pitch again, uppercut now.
04:51And that's one bound four.
04:52Problems for Archer in his match-up against Quinton de Kopp.
04:55Fantastic batting by Quinton de Kopp.
04:58Reading the play, I thought Joffre might go to a change of pace,
05:02a slower ball, but opting for.
05:04Pace on, banging it in.
05:07Nonchalantly just picking it up over the short third man
05:10who's inside the ring.
05:11South Africa have gone to the highest opening stand
05:14for this World Cup.
05:17Quinton de Kopp is putting on a little bit of a show so far.
05:19Oh, this over.
05:26It's a slight cut-up.
05:28We'll take the single.
05:31That was the question for Joffre Butler, really.
05:33Knowing that the match-up here is in de Kopp's favour
05:36and the fact that he may want some overs from Archer later on
05:40at Klaassen.
05:41Could have bowled Mark Wood at this stage?
05:43Who, from over the wicket, will bowl slightly wider
05:47outside Quinton de Kopp's off stump?
05:49Slightly different trajectory to Joffre Archer.
05:54Brilliant batting, though, from de Kopp.
06:01Pulled beautifully.
06:03Flat and away for another boundary.
06:06This is an expensive start from Archer.
06:08That over went for 21.
06:1041 for none.
06:11He's kept that out of the crease very quickly, Quinton de Kopp.
06:21A drag down.
06:22Wasn't quite short enough from Curran and quickly onto it.
06:25Well, yet again, to Kopp.
06:30He's targeting his favourite area of the ground.
06:35Next side, behind Square.
06:39In fact, in front of Square on this occasion.
06:43Sets up for that.
06:44So anything straight.
06:47Really strong position, even with pace off against Curran.
06:51Back-to-back half-sentries for Quinton de Kopp.
07:03He's come into the game looking confident after a very good player of the match.
07:07Performance in the previous game.
07:09Now equals the fastest half-century in this World Cup.
07:12Outstanding from Quinny de Kopp.
07:23Leg side and straight to the fielder.
07:27Just wonder, was the pressure created on Quinton de Kopp because the runs weren't flowing at the other end?
07:35Standing in the middle, I'm not too sure if he's 100% convinced that the catch has been taken clearly.
07:40Maybe that's what he wants to have checked.
07:42And he was pretty disappointed after he made contact.
07:48He knew that he hadn't hit it hard enough and that he was going to find wood on the boundary.
07:53He's just asking if it is taken clearly or no, she's whatsoever.
07:59I don't think it's been sent upstairs at the end, but maybe it has, yes.
08:07TV umpire to director.
08:09We have an umpire review for a fair catch.
08:10Check the feet, it's a fair delivery.
08:13Take me to your best angle of the catch.
08:15Here's a finger under the ball.
08:31Do you have anything else?
08:33I'm going to hand them, even front on.
08:34That looks, looks like it's on the ground now.
08:44Can you zoom that for me, please?
08:48All right, standing by for zoom, boys.
08:50We need to zoom it up.
08:51It's pretty tight.
08:52Fingers are down, the ball appear to be on the ground.
09:02Yeah, I got the ball on the ground, fingers are down.
09:09I have a decision for the big screen.
09:19Well, it was worth the look in the end.
09:23Men should adjust that the fingers were not underneath it and that it had touched the ground.
09:28We were just joking in the commentary box saying there's quite a call from Quinton de Kock to see a ball being taken on the boundary and say, well, no, I don't think he's got his fingers underneath it, but obviously he's a bit of an eagle eyes, Quinton de Kock, because he spotted something.
09:41And I think on the replay, for me, it looks like it's just burst through the fingers and made a bit of contact with the ground.
09:48So I think the right decision made, and that's a massive moment for South Africa.
09:52De Kock, 58 or 30, he's going like a train.
09:55The fact that he gets to stay there is important.
10:00Let's have another look.
10:01Mark Wood believes that this is out.
10:04He thinks his fingers have got under the ball.
10:08Just there.
10:09Does it touch the ground?
10:23Quite a big moment in the game, you'd have to say.
10:26Quinton de Kock is absolutely flying here.
10:28He'll take his wicket.
10:31Especially while the likes of Rashid and Ali are on.
10:35The ability to take wickets in clusters.
10:39One more look.
10:42Are his fingers under the ball?
10:45Or does the ball make contact with the ground?
10:49Clearly not happy.
10:51Neither is Butler.
10:52It's just an effective use of the feet from Quinton de Kock.
11:16And his confidence on display.
11:21Absolutely outstanding batting.
11:24Choosing to advance down the wicket.
11:26Moan Ali has two options.
11:27Does he fall into his legs or to take it slow and wide?
11:31All slow and wide, but de Kock adapts beautifully.
11:36Just lofts it over cover.
11:38Using the feet.
11:48Hasn't gotten near it.
11:51Harrybrook completes the catch.
11:54It's just a...
11:55You can only describe really as a bit of a miserable timeout to the middle for Hendricks.
11:59Never finding his rhythm or timing.
12:00Well, something had to give.
12:05Oh, and Ali recognising the situation.
12:08Hendricks trying to take a leaf out of de Kock's book.
12:11Ali taking it slow and wide.
12:13Bottom hand coming off the bat.
12:16No contact.
12:18And Harrybrook makes a simple catch.
12:21And it gets England there first.
12:27Riza Hendricks.
12:2919 of 25 deliveries.
12:32South Africa 86 for one.
12:39That was a slower change.
12:42Ends up to be a full P, but just a single.
12:45Well, we've had Archer v Quinton de Kock a little earlier today in the fourth over.
12:52It started well enough for England and Archer.
12:54That was flipped for six.
12:56That was smack leg side for six.
12:58Then a carve for four.
13:00A single.
13:02And another four.
13:03So it was an expensive start from Joffre Archer.
13:05There was a school of thought, perhaps, that Moeen Ali,
13:08despite being hit with a six-four of his last two balls of his first over,
13:11could have gone again.
13:12Butler saw it differently.
13:13Edge, but a catch.
13:16Brilliant.
13:18Fantastic from England's wicketkeeper batsman and captain.
13:22And the change of pace.
13:24That's exactly what he needed to do, especially to Quinton de Kock.
13:28There's a marked difference in his strike rate with pace on and pace off.
13:32You watch the way Archer rolls his fingers down the side of the ball.
13:36In that over we just showed, he bowled a quicker short ball.
13:39Look, Quinton de Kock just uppercut over third for four.
13:43This one he didn't have to pace on.
13:46There's the roll of the fingers.
13:48He didn't have enough pace to get it either over Butler or third.
13:52Brilliant from Butler.
13:54And smart bowling from Archer.
13:56Excellent innings, Quinton de Kock, he goes for 65, it's 92 for two.
14:03Fantastic by Butler.
14:14He is a wonderful athlete.
14:16Heinrich Klaassen, late call from David Miller on the wide down the leg side.
14:20Blinded as he was running to the non-striker's end.
14:26Probably not expecting the ball to come there, but fantastic by Butler.
14:30Direct hits, always going to find you in trouble.
14:33Two brilliant bits of work from Joss Butler.
14:36The catch to get Quinton de Kock, diving to his left.
14:40And then here, turn, aim, direct hit.
14:45Brilliant.
14:46If there's two players in this line-up you want out, it is Quinton de Kock and it's Heinrich Klaassen.
14:52That is the reverse sweep beautifully, placed it well-timed it well-thought.
15:04And this is why they were saving Adil Rashid.
15:09Simply because they wanted to hide them from Klaassen and Miller.
15:14Miller plays the reverse sweep really well.
15:19To just get it past Joffre Archer.
15:21He dug that comfortably.
15:42Hardly played cricket from February onwards until England took on Pakistan.
15:48And what was supposed to be four games ended up being two.
15:50But straight away, when he came back into the action, his accuracy and variations were there.
15:57Great control in his line and length.
16:01Yeah!
16:02Oh, he bowled it, dragged it on.
16:05Markram looking to smoke it, I think, through the offside.
16:08It was a lot slower, a lot loopier from Adil Rashid.
16:13And South Africa's captain has dragged it on.
16:14But was having a good day.
16:17He's gone back to Rashid.
16:18The new batter was in Markram.
16:20And Rashid just tossing it up.
16:23A bit of drift.
16:25A bit of drift.
16:26Slow one.
16:27And he was through the shot far too early, the South African captain.
16:33He's having a fabulous tournament, Adil Rashid.
16:35Wickets continue to tumble, some fight back this from England.
16:41Markram goes for one, South Africa, 113 for four.
16:45Not probably where he was looking to ball.
16:53He's just giving away runs leg side.
16:59Yeah, well played by David Miller.
17:0321 miles an hour, this.
17:06Just sits up in the wicket.
17:09Either short or on a good length.
17:12Batter of Miller's quality.
17:15Put that away all day.
17:25That's exactly what South Africa looking for.
17:27Just to get maybe a little bit of something into this innings.
17:31It needs some sort of start, some sort of kickstart.
17:37Yeah, you're just missing his length.
17:40It's an attempted Yorker.
17:42Misses it ever so slightly.
17:45And for the quality of Miller hitting with the wind.
17:49Giving himself enough room to swing the arms and free himself up.
18:00After England have been suffocating the South African batters.
18:03Just missed his length by a fraction here.
18:08Sam Curran.
18:10Looking for the Yorker to Miller.
18:12Miller doesn't quite find that Yorker length.
18:15And that just allows Miller to get under the ball.
18:18Doesn't miss it by much.
18:20Maybe a, what, a yard or so.
18:21But it's just enough.
18:23And that is sweetly struck.
18:24England brought back Sam Curran in place of Will Jacks.
18:36Do you think they've stumbled on their best combination now, Bowen?
18:40Yeah, I think they have.
18:54Only on paper, Will Jacks adds a huge amount at the top of the order.
19:00But the debate was, Bairstow at four, the top four with Butler and Salt, opening the batting.
19:08All top heavy.
19:11What Curran brings is a lot of flexibility.
19:13A left-handed option with the bat in the middle as well.
19:17Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no .
19:29JSOUTH Sgt.
19:31Taking their time to set the field to Stubbs at the moment.
20:01Two hasn't found his timing.
20:12Clever again from current pace off it's continued to work deliveries over 140
20:20kilometers per hour today the boundaries being hit 225 I'm sure to
20:31set African bowlers will be looking at that as to how they're going to defend
20:35the score that they post pace off seems to be the way forward as Sam Curran has
20:42proved the only boundary in this over was pace on.
20:46This runs in the over it's still not easy to come by it's 14 from 155 for going
21:05straight down the ground brilliant Brooke absolutely sensational he has been good for
21:12England on those straight boundaries through the tournament terrific catch
21:18this it was quite firmly hit it went quite flat and hard towards Harry Brooke down
21:23there at long off he's got to make ground his left first of all so he's sprinting
21:27hard and then the dive came and it's a low catch excellent from Harry Brooke a good
21:35time to get rid of the dangerous David Miller in the final over of the innings
21:38with five balls left he can create a lot of destruction to Archer strikes Miller goes
21:45Brooke clings on on 55 to 5 going over the top it's high and another brilliant effort
21:59this time around Sam Curran running back looking up that's never easy England's out
22:07cricket has been excellent today think of the catches that we've seen from Butler and Brooke the run
22:13out from Butler the brilliant run out of Heinrich Klaassen and now in the final over Sam Curran just adding another to the list tracking backwards with the ball over his shoulder never easy excellent catch England can be well pleased with their out cricket today
22:32our packs finish that South Africa needed is not coming they're now 155
22:42Maharaj flicking it away it was in the air they would have been a little concerned
22:47about that has wood done enough to keep that in the two batters on mid pitch just
22:53about shook hands and had a conversation mid pitch a brilliance effort from Mark wood a third on the boundary it's good contact here but alt we'll have a look at that again contact with the ball while his body is in contact with the boundary will be given for
23:16just to stop and play here
23:31it's planning and execution today has been excellent three important deliveries
23:35making the run all the way to archer would have a look at this piece of work most difficult catches you
23:46can take is running back over your shoulder I'm current makes good ground with a
23:52still head
23:59stubs eventually does get the strike back
24:07yeah coming to the ball at the right timing when to go back to right at the
24:11start of the group stage games there are a few missed fields against Scotland they
24:16weren't their best in the field against Australia probably put in their best
24:21performance in the field today
24:34getting it right is off checking a very full hard to get underneath it was always
24:41coming back for the second stubs took a little while to turn and run
24:51see runs off this over a couple of wickets as well David Milo could have easily had
24:58it quite crucial runs to the South African innings will be stubs to face the last ball
25:06brilliant from England wonderful effort it was such a good start from South Africa's point of view in
25:16particular from Quinton to cock but it's England that fought back after that power play they pulled it back
25:23and have restricted South Africa to a hundred and sixty three for six and a good surface
25:30ICC men's t20 World Cup on sky sports ICC men's t20 World Cup on sky sports sponsored by remitly
25:50the England the 164 and the run rate 8.2 to make it two from two in group two
25:57to make it two from two in group two
26:05is that a catch off the powder off the bat it's spectacular from
26:09Kehisa Rabada but I think it's just thudded into Phil sorts thigh pad
26:14well we've seen Marco Jansson pick up England batters in that position from memory it was Joe Root
26:21wasn't it in that match in Mumbai that 50 over World Cup game when he picked up Root at a
26:26kind of leg slip position really and you are in that position you're in the game to Jansson
26:32because obviously there's a beautiful breeze that should help him hoop that ball back into the right-hander
26:37that one goes across and look at the carry now there's carry through head high to Quinton de Kock
26:44lots of bounce lots of carry through some good intent here from Marco Jansson charging in
26:51you're ready up to 143 kilometers per hour that must be pretty effective
26:56we've been out of the game a long time you don't want to make it sound like a bet though
27:09oh that sounded all right that was banged in a little shorter and salt has pulverized that over mid wicket
27:19well he looked in fantastic touch didn't he two nights ago against West Indies he must have come to the ground today feeling confident
27:30it's a different pitch but same ground and this is a tremendous way to start slightly short he picked it up so quickly
27:38right out of the middle of the bat
27:42oh what a catch drilled an extra cover spectacular stuff South Africa have their first
27:58yeah brilliant for Reza Hendricks he is dynamic in the field so athletic so quick
28:03and so versatile can throw that body into any direction and he takes an absolute blind an important wicket for the South Africans
28:10salt had struck a few good ones out the middle of the bat and they needed a break through the South Africans length delivery just
28:17cuts across it opens the face and a fantastic catch by Hendricks
28:23salt goes for 11 of the eight deliveries Rabada is ecstatic because they've got their first 15-4
28:33it was fired in as a Yorker it ended up being a full toss and a thick inside edge which best though somehow has managed to get it to find like the full
28:48up and over point down towards the man good no no we were praising the fielding and it's been put down
29:05yeah Rabada stands in the middle of the pitch with his hands on his head he knows that could have been a big moment for South Africa
29:12there's a stiff breeze so it ended up carrying comfortably down to Andre Klaassen and he'll be very disappointed he actually looked like he had it
29:20but you can see it go straight down on the angle we situated in the comm box we couldn't see it go into that position but
29:27at this level Klaassen would be expecting to take those
29:33Klaassen would be expecting to take those
29:47yeah Natalie I think the unknown as well about the morning start or afternoon game was the reason both captains would have chosen
29:55to feel just what we're winning the toss just giving you that much more information
30:02in the air and South Africa know they have to be good in the field and Nokia is good here
30:10well Natalie you mentioned how good he's been at this phase why is he good in this phase because he's a smart
30:17cricketer Keshav Maharaj he just threw that up a little bit slower and a little bit wider
30:25maybe feeling that Bairstow was going to target downwind with the slogsuit but he just went slower
30:30wider which meant that Bairstow tried to go offside and that is an excellent catch from Nokia
30:38Bairstow having been put down earlier no mistake this time from South Africa
30:44Bairstow has to go for 16 43 for 2 England
30:55that's sort of your reference point sort of 5 to 10 Ness what was your reference point
31:045 to 10 hours probably
31:07does the modern player Morgz worry or fret about not having time in the middle someone like Liam Livingston hasn't had that much Sam Curran has been brought inside
31:18hasn't had hardly any
31:20out to leg side
31:31maybe an opportunity is what he was looking for to break the shackles a little bit
31:34instead Butler goes
31:37crucial moment in the game
31:39yeah big big wicket
31:41and it's Maharaj again
31:43Butler feeling I'm hitting downwind
31:45I'm hitting towards the boundary that favours the breeze
31:49but he got it high up on the bat
31:52and Klaassen who's put a catch down low this time takes the catch high
31:57and that is a huge wicket
31:59the England captain even he struggled 17 from 20
32:0354 for 3
32:09pulled away leg side filled up
32:11gone
32:12England now fall down and in a bit of a hole
32:16Neil Botman reintroduced change of angle going around the wicket to bone early
32:20he's very good at targeting the stumps and holding a quality link
32:25it's a link that Mona is gone after
32:27you get the feeling that this ball is just holding up in the surface
32:30not coming on at the pace that the battle wants
32:33and therefore he can't get the speed off the bat
32:36he's requiring into the breeze
32:38comfortable catch in the end for Maharaj
32:40had to run in quite some distance
32:42and with the pressure building South Africa pick up another one
32:4561 for 4
32:47Monelli goes for now
32:52with two legs side into the breeze powerful man
32:55not out the middle of the bat
32:56before England much needed a boundary they've got one
32:59this time he does get it past the backward point and does get it away for 4
33:06and England really needed that
33:15that's what he's been looking to do to Marco Jansson
33:18give himself room
33:19target the offside
33:20Jansson's been following him but can't follow him enough on that occasion
33:24gets it away behind square
33:34smashed away leg side with the breeze strong man 6
33:38great start to the over from Liam Livingston in England
33:42and it's a ball of 143 km an hour from Gis or Rabada
33:46so I imagine for the rest of this over he's going to try and vary his pace much more
33:52Livingston enjoying a quick ball there from Rabada and hitting with the breeze
33:57flashed away by Harry Brook
34:04fast hands and pace on the ball
34:06fast hands and pace on the ball
34:09yeah a little bit of width here and as you say it's a 137 km an hour delivery Quinton de Kock is not happy
34:15he's charged over tomorrow I just said hey go and speak to kg give him the message
34:22and now Keshav is making his way over to market
34:24giving the instruction
34:26this is an important over for England they've already got to 13 or four deliveries
34:32they needed one of these almost to get their chase started
34:36and this could be depending on how it finishes the battle over
34:41yeah it's a big couple of balls for England and Kohisa Rabada
34:44but I think they're going to need a few more biggish overs as well
34:54scoops scoops well this is very good from Harry Brook
34:58well it's the over England needed talking earlier
35:04who to target they needed a big over it's not often that you say Rabada
35:08is the one in the South African line-up who's going to be targeted
35:12but it looks as though England have said to themselves it's now or never
35:1917 from this over with one ball remaining
35:22may not be because it's Rabada it's just the time
35:25gotta go gotta go now
35:27into the pitch a bit slower
35:31and Brook can only help it round to deep square leg
35:34but a good over for England
35:3518 from it 105 for four
35:42up and over
35:43he's charged Norkia
35:45he's belted him straight back over his head
35:47this is excellent from Harry Brook
35:49wonderful batting by Harry Brook
35:51and getting a boundary off the first ball
35:54just easing the over for England
35:56Norkia going back of a length good charge
36:00a man that's bowling 145 kilometers an hour
36:03Harry Brook does it with ease
36:06such a difficult shot on a wicked like this
36:10things said Africa will mind
36:14create an opportunity here
36:17Sounded good off the bat it is good off the bat four more
36:22just gotta sit back and admire this shot this is a wonderful shot the charge the first ball this ball almost standing still
36:38hitting it on the rise
36:40finding the gap nothing Markram could do
36:44middle
36:46power from Harry Brook
36:48Harry Brook
36:5018 from that Rabada over
36:52and then Norkia has gone 4-4
36:54that's 26 off the last eight deliveries
36:58Markram's got to get his thinking cap on
37:00he's got to be on the same page as Norkia
37:04this time Norkia follows him
37:10Livingston wants two
37:11not gonna get back
37:12Slapped hard to the man out there that might have gone all the way
37:28they're gonna have a look Stubbs diving to his left it was flat and it may have hit the cushion on the full
37:53just in front just bounces in front
37:56excellent
37:59excellent from Livingston
38:01good awareness very aware what Bartman is trying to do
38:11full toss again
38:13slapped
38:14and again one bounce for pressure on Bartman
38:17yeah easy batting this for Liam Livingston he gets to stand still
38:22it's almost telegraphed what Bartman is gonna do
38:25and if you miss where you want to land the ball
38:30it's almost an easy shot this being a full toss
38:34it just allows Livingston to kind of stand still maybe movie move across his crease a little bit
38:40but he's taken out one complete end of this field the leg side and just trying to target the offside
38:47if you bowl full tosses it's gonna make it very easy for the batters
38:51yeah he's missed his length twice that one by a large margin
38:55and again missed his length
38:58and over again six more
39:00he's not got it right Bartman three full tosses three boundaries
39:04well Liam Livingston really putting Bartman under pressure here
39:11it's gone pace on first three deliveries
39:14tried to hit a Yorker length but missed on all three occasions
39:19plan is surprising
39:21plan is surprising
39:23talked about how slow the pitch has been all day
39:26using the middle of the pitch with pace off deliveries
39:30has been more effective than pace on deliveries
39:33this is hit flat flat and hard with the wind
39:38long discussion between two or three South Africans including the captain
39:48just taking a bit of time out giving Bartman some thoughts
39:51can he nail it
39:53no is the answer another full toss that's four in the over
39:59this time it just goes for two
40:02yeah as a bowler you want to have two options at the death here
40:06just so you keep the batter guessing but if you keep running in with one plan
40:10and you miss it means the batter can line you up
40:17missing full great power this by livingston the next one an easy full toss
40:22it's almost a free swing of the arms straight on the stumps full toss leg
40:27side six
40:29can Bartman come back
40:31this time he does bowler into the surface
40:33this has been a nervy over it's the one thing you can nail your skills before the game
40:41with the bowling coach it's in the middle in the heat of battle with pressure on
40:46England 71% for the first time they've gone ahead at this stage South Africa were 133 for four
41:03another full toss mid ons up that is a poor over that is an over that's brought England ahead in the game
41:1821 from it 139 for four
41:29will toss again
41:34it is an odd one because a pitch that batters have struggle when you bowl length and back of the length and cutters and slower balls
41:40sides have gone to York at Dale stain have they done the right thing to go to Yorkers not the execution but have they done the right thing
41:47no I don't think so nice I think and this was the question before the game batting bowling on a better surface South Africa in New York and St. Vincent were able to just this kind of hit a length and not really worry about bowling Yorkers or their skills that's another full toss this could be out just as dubs takes a good catch it's
41:58could be too late for South Africa right now but that sees the end of Harrybrook a little bit of a celebration happening out there but you feel England have almost done enough now but South Africa have got a wicked yeah the Rabada celebration we've seen that before he did it in Port Elizabeth in the
42:04St. Vincent were able to just kind of hit a length and not really worry about bowling Yorkers or their skills that's another full toss this could be out just as dubs takes a good catch it could be too late for South Africa right now but that sees the end of Harrybrook a little bit of a celebration happening out there but you feel England have almost done enough now but South Africa have got a wicked
42:21yeah the Rabada celebration we've seen that before he did it in Port Elizabeth in the face of Joe Root he's done the same celebration right in the face of Liam Livingston he was pumped up there Carissa Rabada another full toss this time you can see those flags in the distance hitting into the breeze Rabada was pumped
42:44they needed that Livingston's gone 33 from 17 139 for five another slower ball again current thinks about two he's hit it too well
43:09yeah just yet again excellent plenty of action on it there's holes in the surface new batter to the crease that is going to be difficult to hit
43:39brooke will keep the strike England want that then full over 143 for five
43:54they're going to try and come back for two they do Harrybrook gets to 50 he's first in world cup cricket his third in international t20 cricket what a player he is
44:05yeah classy stuff from Harrybrook 47 of 20 deliveries against Namibia 51 from 34 today
44:16Namibia 51 from 34 today
44:20that's been a good over from Hanson so far contrast to what Bartman did the previous over from this side where he went full every single ball but this is Harrybrook
44:38this is Harrybrook
44:45real talent fast hands offside leg side
44:49was gifted some towards the end with that
44:51inexplicable change of plan from South Africa to try and go Yorkers
44:55up on the offside it won't carry because it's into the breeze
45:02yeah good bowling really good bowling so far this over just five runs coming
45:10from it Harrybrook will feel this is the over that needs to go be hitting with the wind so far only one delivery left
45:17will be Sam current hitting to the shorter side but it'll be
45:22against Bartman who has been put on their immense pressure
45:26the latter stages of this game
45:28big delivery
45:30and it's an excellent one it's an excellent over they'll try and get back for two to have Brook on strike
45:41and they will just
45:43excellent over from Jansen
45:48just seven from it 150 for five
45:51chipped mid off will he get there I think he has you know running backwards diving over his shoulder one of the hardest catches you'll take and it is the skipper brilliant change to Nokia brilliant catch from the captain
46:12I think this is a change of pace by honor Nokia and a wonderful catch by Aiden Markham running over his shoulder his right shoulder could have been pace on actually I can't tell from that angle but this is a wonderful catch crunch cat crap catch overhead fantastic hands by Captain Aiden Markham you needed to take that catch South Africa had he missed it could have rolled for four potentially even two with a new
46:42you better in strike right now Harry Brook he's gone for 53 wonderful innings England 150 for six
46:49right leg side
46:53what does Sam current do here does he stay on strike and just try and target that leg side boundary Owen
47:01no I think he's got a trust Joffrey Archer's have a look at this catch again we've been treated to some magnificent fielding today this
47:10by far and away the best of the catchers
47:15Sam current took a brilliant catch over his head earlier
47:20what a crunch moment in the game
47:29NFL style catch they're always the most difficult
47:33he's touched down basically taking the catch and with a lot of wind blowing around it made that catch even more fantastic by Captain Aiden Markham
47:45works works done all eyes on Sam current now can he get 13 or 412 will take it to a super over
47:56hitting with the wind remember leg side deep mid wicket deep square
48:06picked up for excellent from current
48:11and much needed
48:13this will settle his nerves if he had any also puts Nokia under a little bit of pressure
48:20the sense that the field was said either for a wide Yorker or a straight when he went straight
48:29too straight on this occasion
48:32and just picks it up
48:35what will the plan be now is it pace off into the wicked or is it pace on like it has been
48:41surprised it was straight I thought he'd be with the field that's set I thought he might be trying to hide it
48:49away from that leg side hitting up it was two straight
48:53nine from three
49:08will toss current says leave it to me
49:14yeah this is brave batting this is when a batter knows
49:17he's confident he's his ability to hit the ball out of the ground he feels like he's
49:22picked up the play of unref Nokia he's got the pace
49:25so if Nokia does miss Sam current can bang him for six with the wind
49:29but this is a big ball now in the context of this game
49:33Nokia can get a wicked he'll close out the game or dock ball
49:37but a huge moment right now by Sam current decided to keep the strike
49:41two fours for a super over six and a four for a win dot ball single South Africa win
49:54it is a single and that is excellent from Nokia
49:58they've just got to get this last delivery right get your foot behind the line no extras
50:09yeah brilliant from Heinrich Nokia under pressure
50:13what do you go to and pace on again
50:16touch wide and missed his Yorker
50:20who's only face seven deliveries not many batters today
50:24I found it easy coming in
50:27to strike the ball
50:29this ball length don't go Yorker because it may go over waist-eye get your foot behind the line
50:34no extras is the message
50:37let's go back the length of swing and a miss from Joffra Archer
50:41and South Africa continue their unbeaten run in this tournament
50:46quite brilliant there from Nokia
50:49outstanding delivery in the last few deliveries there
50:53and a brilliant catch from the skipper
50:57that Markham catch was the key moment
51:03wonderful fielding display and they get over the line
51:06they've won some close ones in this tournament
51:09Sky Sports Cricket
51:18feel it fall
51:20talk about fast delivery
51:24the batter was left startled at the crease
51:26remittly worldwide money transfers speed
