01:00We'll be very happy to get down the other end early.
01:04Wide and taken.
01:05If he had to let it go, it would have been a wide, but the first wicket goes down for Bangladesh.
01:10Yes, it would have been a wide if he had left it, but he saw the room to swing his arms, but wasn't able to keep it along the ground.
01:21And he's gone for one, and Bangladesh have lost their first wicket for two.
01:24And that's a big wicket because he's the man in form as well, reaching out for that, slicing it, not really cutting it, slicing it.
01:35And Glenn Maxwell at backward point making no mistake whatsoever.
01:38It's a forced blood to Australia.
01:44Two for one, Bangladesh.
01:51Sumashaka gone for one from his six deliveries.
01:54You've got middle.
01:59Middle's that way.
02:01It's one next.
02:02So coming in at number three, Shabir Brahman.
02:08A very good ICC ranking at 18.
02:11Good strike rate of 123 as well.
02:14Got 32 not out against India in the Asia Cup final.
02:21And would dearly love to get in and get some runs for Bangladesh tonight.
02:27On the league side from Watson, that one's a wide.
02:30Boy, that was the line for the left-hander, wasn't it?
02:33But even a very good line for the left-hander.
02:35This is the wicket.
02:37Looking to play the cut shot, just slicing it, and Glenn Maxwell making no mistake.
02:42This is the side from Bangladesh.
02:43This is the side from Bangladesh.
02:46Rahman, Shaquil, Al-Hassan, Mahmoudala, the experienced ones in the middle order there.
02:53Subha Ghatta Hon is on debut.
02:57And then you've got Sutherland, Sajib, the left-arm spinner coming into the side.
03:00And Mustafa, Zer, Raham.
03:04Back to injury.
03:05Watson, back into the attack.
03:07Down the wicket.
03:08This could be out.
03:09It is.
03:10Beautiful catch from James Faulkner.
03:12And Watson gets his second one.
03:19Trying to hit too many shots in there.
03:22Shabir Rahman was looking good.
03:25But as I said earlier, he was trying a little bit too many shots in there.
03:27He has to go back to the pavilion.
03:28Gone for 12.
03:30But now there's 25 for two.
03:33So once he back into the attack, he changed ends.
03:35And Shabir went after him straight away.
03:37And a little bit of extra bounce.
03:39But just high on the bat.
03:40And good movement bat from James Faulkner.
03:42So sides have played varying amounts.
03:45Australia have played eight in that time.
03:47And India have played 17.
03:48Bangladesh 18.
03:50But it's an interesting stat.
03:56To the man.
03:57Straight to him.
03:58He hit it so well.
04:00So a minute has played well.
04:03But picked the man out in the deep.
04:07Yeah, he's upset.
04:09And he should be.
04:10Because he had some time.
04:13Only his second ball, Zampa.
04:15And he dragged it down.
04:16So he's gone for 23.
04:18Bangladesh 62 for three.
04:20He hit it so hard.
04:36He just needed elevation.
04:37With that elevation, he would have hit it for six.
04:39That's how well he hit it.
04:41So it was more of a flat bat.
04:42And that's why it's gone straight to Watson, who's been in the game.
04:46Zampa.
04:46But we'll be delighted with that wicket.
04:51It's his first in T20 cricket.
04:53So down it goes.
04:55He didn't deserve a wicket really.
04:57It was a little bit of a toe end.
05:00So we're going to get straight to the man.
05:01He was a little bit forward.
05:03Not in that normal deep mid wicket area.
05:06And this is in the air again.
05:07It's hanging in the air for long enough.
05:09And dropped.
05:11Mitchell Marsh.
05:14Has put it down.
05:16Well, he's not happy.
05:21Zampa could have picked up another wicket here.
05:24Should have been taken.
05:25Was up in the air playing against the spin and getting the leading edge.
05:31Look at this.
05:33Oh.
05:33So Zampa continues.
05:37One for three after he's opening over.
05:39And this has gone high.
05:41And it's gone long.
05:43What a good blow that is.
05:46It's nearly gone through the front windscreen of the car.
05:49There is a car down there.
05:51But take a look at this shot.
06:00He's struggling with the timing.
06:02Good use of the feet.
06:03Gets it into the slot.
06:04And smashes a big six.
06:06I mean, that's the role he has to play.
06:08Because there's not enough overs to be bowled after this.
06:11Eight more overs to be bowled.
06:12You've got Mushfiko Rahim and Mahmoudullah.
06:14And Mashavi Murtaza to come in next.
06:17Well, it was gutsy.
06:20It's a gutsy stroke when it's spinning away.
06:22But that is a better stroke in a way, I think.
06:26He's gone with the spin.
06:27He's kept it along the ground.
06:29He's sliced it through the offside.
06:33So, he gets the width because of the opening shot.
06:36He took the courage shot.
06:38And then he gets something to drive along the carpet.
06:41That is good batting.
06:43That's a very good shot.
06:44Good, good cricketing shot.
06:45Ten of the first two.
06:49Big shout and gets the wicket.
06:51So, it's got everything this over.
06:54Six, four.
06:55And then a wicket to Zampa.
06:58Shakes his head because he's not happy with the opening two deliveries.
07:03Gets the breakthrough though.
07:05The young man learning all the time.
07:08He's not played in these conditions much.
07:0913.
07:11Mom goes for it.
07:1278 for four now.
07:15Let's have a look at what the predictor says.
07:16159.
07:19Will they take that?
07:20They'll take that.
07:21Absolutely.
07:22Take that.
07:23It'll still require some batting to get there.
07:27So, Sri Lanka.
07:32Let's not forget what they scored.
07:35122.
07:35So, the West Indies made pretty easy work of that thanks to Fletcher.
07:42I was saying earlier that it was a good run chase in the sense that they did it without Chris Gale.
07:46It was a bit of a one-man ban in Mumbai, but Fletcher was going to bat four, elevated to replace Chris Gale.
07:54But 122 wasn't enough.
07:57So, Australia chasing down 160.
08:01A lot can go wrong in that.
08:03103 now for four.
08:04Xamper bowling straight through.
08:20He's two for 19.
08:21It's an economy rate of 6.33.
08:24It's good stuff.
08:25And they'll fall safely.
08:31Mudula, he gets lucky there.
08:34It was a mishit.
08:35Just landed over the infield.
08:37Didn't go too far to the man in the deep.
08:43Yeah, here we go.
08:44The left-hand.
08:46Shaqivi wants to keep going.
08:48There could be some fun here.
08:51Cow corner.
08:53Down the ground.
08:55Out.
08:58Out.
09:00Top edge.
09:02He was jumping to the onside again.
09:05And almost guided it there.
09:06It was a top edge.
09:08But an unusual shot in the end.
09:12So, that's unfortunate for Bangladesh.
09:15He was going along so nicely.
09:1733 he made.
09:19It's 105 for five.
09:20Yeah, the nothing shot.
09:34And he didn't really pick the pace of the ball, the spin of the ball either.
09:38And you can tell there he's devastated.
09:41A lot relying on his shoulders tonight.
09:43And Zampa's having a field day.
09:44Well, in at seven, Raheem.
09:48And he's winded out of the sails a little bit.
09:52Shaqivi is one of those players that he needed to get there.
09:56At least to the 18th over and keep going.
10:00And he was finding the boundary.
10:03It's Zampa.
10:04This is a big moment for him in this tournament.
10:06The fact that he's in there.
10:07Australia need a spinner going.
10:09The pitch conditions over here are such that they need a spinner who's firing.
10:17They probably need another spinner.
10:20I dare say that the selectors are wishing they had Nathan Lyon.
10:25I think Nathan Lyon would have bowled very well, given what we're seeing over here.
10:30But Zampa needs to find that form.
10:32And so far tonight we're seeing form.
10:34Three for 21.
10:35One.
10:49Yeah, man, she's done.
10:50Well, he's picked up three tonight.
10:51As I said, he could add four.
10:52There's a missed stroke there.
10:54Nice catch for Shane Watson.
10:56Good length there.
10:57The ball just didn't spin.
10:58Skid on a little bit.
11:00Extra pace.
11:02Judge Delby W.
11:03And then that soft shot there.
11:05From Shaqib back live.
11:09And there's some brilliance.
11:11Well, Steve Smith, he was upset with himself.
11:13He fumbled one.
11:14Was it knock on?
11:15And that one, full stretch and holds onto it.
11:18So that's what he can do.
11:19That's his normal standard.
11:22It's good to watch, isn't he?
11:23He practices that very hard.
11:26He'll be training session, diving around.
11:27Just the one.
11:34So that completes the four overs for young Zampa and Wilbold.
11:39It's three for 23 for him, 108 for five.
11:42And you can, Bangladesh, get up to that 150 mark.
11:57Mushfiqul Rahim is in need of runs.
12:04Should just be one.
12:05Last wicket of Shaqib Al-Hassan, who was going well.
12:18He looked in good touch.
12:18He looks to have regained some form after that half century against Pakistan.
12:23He really struggled over the last eight or nine T20s for Bangladesh, averaging around 17 with the bat.
12:31But he looked in good control for him tonight.
12:33Pity Brett that he couldn't take it to the end of the innings for Bangladesh.
12:39Yeah, absolutely.
12:40If he's in here at the end, that 150 mark is definitely an opportunity.
12:46So unfortunately for Bangladesh, he departs.
12:49Yeah, they're showing signs that he's all forms back, which is great for him.
12:55Short-filled man.
12:56Just one.
13:04Been impressed too with Shane Watson tonight.
13:07He's come on right from the start and he's picked up two crucial wickets.
13:13He's looking very fit, Shane Watson.
13:14He's worked extremely hard in his fitness.
13:18Prides himself on stretching and his mobility.
13:22Starting to pay off now.
13:24Here he's two wickets.
13:24Just a wild one there.
13:26A nice catch for Maxwell.
13:29Is that one there, right?
13:30It's like we saw the batsman coming down the wicket.
13:32Banging short.
13:34Nice catch here from James Faulkner.
13:36So Shane Watson doing a great job.
13:39I don't know what this field says.
13:40Is this field, see, back of the length.
13:44Bowling mid-off is up.
13:45Three men deep leg side.
13:47Oh, nice pull-off stump.
13:53Couldn't ramp it.
13:54Mustn't follow them.
13:56It was a good effort, that's for sure.
13:58A few laughs there from all the players at the ground.
14:02Watch the storm go early.
14:03And you can see there with the eyes closed that he just took his eye off the ball.
14:08Didn't have a clue where it went.
14:11His teammate calls him through.
14:14Would have been a risky shot for one because it was a deep, it was a deep, fine leg.
14:17He's right in the slot, really.
14:43Mid-off was up in the circle, so all he had to do,
14:46Mamadoula Riyad was keep his shape and stroke it over mid-off.
14:50But he went too hard at it.
14:51Now, with the sign of that last shot,
14:53mid-off has dropped back to long off.
14:55So there's long off and long on.
15:03Yeah, you just feel that Shane Watson's tactic here is to take the pace off the ball.
15:08A couple of good, quicker Yorkers.
15:10And ask a few questions of the batsmen.
15:11And as we see now, finally going back.
15:14Also third man.
15:16I think you'll find that it's either going to be a slow ball bouncer or
15:22we see square league coming up here.
15:26And more of a cow corny going back.
15:29And I'd agree with the results of that poll that we saw just now
15:32because Shane Watson at 42% was the leader.
15:35And because he's used a new ball and he's going to be batting in the top order as well.
15:38I think he's absolutely critical to Australia's march.
15:43And therefore the most important, in my view.
15:451-12 for five.
15:54Just four runs off that over.
15:55That's excellent.
15:56Moving number 17 when the charge is on.
15:59That's four.
16:04That's very well played by Mamadou La Riyad.
16:08He just took the pace of the ball.
16:18James Fork done a little slider out of the hand and he waited beautifully.
16:21Passed a.
16:26Looks like a point region.
16:28Inside out.
16:29Very nice shot.
16:32Too much whiff really, isn't it?
16:33With short third man in place,
16:35even though there was a little bit of pace taken off of it.
16:39Nice shot again.
16:40Again, given the whiff.
16:41Not a great start to the over from James Forkner.
16:47That's an even better shot, that one.
16:49And once again, same ball from James Forkner.
16:52Took the pace off.
16:54Threw a wide.
16:55Same result.
16:57Beautiful piece of timing.
16:59What has he got to do, Brett?
17:01What should be his line here?
17:03Given the feel that he's got.
17:05Yeah, Steve Smith does not like it.
17:07Well, I'm happy with him bowling that Steve Warbord at the back of the hand.
17:10And that's not a bad option on this wicket.
17:12But it's just the line that's not correct.
17:14We saw the last two balls.
17:15His line's been probably a fifth or even a sixth stump line.
17:19Which to this field, it's just bread and butter for the cut shot.
17:23Very strong leg side field.
17:25Third man has dropped back.
17:28And he comes into play immediately.
17:32And that's what I'm saying.
17:33If you're going to bowl that line,
17:35even though there's...
17:35It's not like a dead slow delivery.
17:38There's still 75 miles per hour delivery.
17:41You can't give that whiff.
17:42And Mamadoula used whatever pace there was brilliantly.
17:48Risky delivery with third man who was up.
17:51And the point fairly straight is the deep point.
17:55His mindset was right.
17:56Just the execution.
17:58Let him down.
18:00Just threw it out wide.
18:01Got to get it a lot straighter.
18:04Stump to stump.
18:10In the gap.
18:11Muspikul Rahim is now flying.
18:16Well, he got it straighter.
18:17And it wasn't a bad ball.
18:18But I'll tell you what.
18:19It was a fantastic shot.
18:21He read the play very, very early.
18:22Once again, change of pace.
18:26That little leg cutter.
18:28Gave himself some room.
18:29Left foot opens up.
18:31He's pounded it for four.
18:32I think a good option here, Bish.
18:46It might be around the wicket.
18:48Trying to squeeze it back in.
18:49What he does very well, James Fawkes, is bowls a great Yorker.
18:53And I think when he bowls around the wicket, he can spear the ball in the leg stump.
18:58He'll just be wanting to start.
19:00Against New Zealand, they bowled a lot of back-up-length deliveries on a slow pitch.
19:13Nothing pitched up.
19:17Slower balls as well.
19:18A lot of slower, short deliveries.
19:25Bangladesh have pitched the ball up.
19:26Bangladesh, the ones in red.
19:27They've looked to go Yorkers in this World T20.
19:30They've got a lot more matches they've played in the first round.
19:41127 for five.
19:42If you're bowling at the death, there's nothing towards a five-meter mark onwards, you take
19:53out your wide-line Yorker, your good straight Yorker.
19:57And they're two key balls that have to be bowled at the death, I feel.
20:04Got to have a real good feel for when to serve what.
20:07Oh, well-fielded, that would have had four written all over it.
20:18Zamper, at one of those men behind point.
20:21He's a great effort.
20:24Had to stretch to his right.
20:26And just a little knock on there.
20:28Australian terms.
20:30Peter Neville's happy with that.
20:32Given that Mamadoula has played the ball square with a plumb, would you shift your line to him?
20:38Absolutely.
20:39Yeah, I'd be trying to blow off his front boot, maybe a leg-stump line or a middle-to-leg-stump
20:46line.
20:46What's involved a very, very good straight Yorker, mind you?
20:49Yeah, wide, wouldn't it?
20:53Must be a wide, surely, yeah.
20:55Square leg, arms outstretched.
20:58That's where, as a bowler, you'd know this, Bish, where you sort of, your right-o goes towards
21:03the square-leg umpire, pleading and hoping that he doesn't stretch his arms out.
21:09And you see, and you turn around, and you realise, yeah, just above, good call.
21:13Just above, breath.
21:16Maybe a little bit higher than just above.
21:19Yeah, okay, fair point.
21:24Brilliant.
21:24Mamadoula Riyad is dicing that backward point area.
21:31We've seen it three or four shots now go towards that area, and that's what he likes, and Shane
21:36Watson gave him, gave him his width.
21:39Yes, he's opening up his front leg, but just a width again from Shane Watson, got away with
21:47the last one.
21:48This one he didn't, sliced away beautifully.
21:51And what it shows is that the guys that feel behind the wicket, in that point region or
22:02gully region, how hard it is, because the ball skips on naturally, but with that spin,
22:07he didn't have to stop.
22:12A little bit of fade on it.
22:15Often times down a deep third man, you see the old fast bowler running to his right, and
22:20the ball skipping left.
22:21Not to you, Brett, no, you're a supreme athlete, never happened to you.
22:24Guilty, guilty.
22:29Mushfiq plays some ugly little sweeps and stuff.
22:34He goes third man as well.
22:36Wow, what touch from Mushfiqul.
22:39Bangladesh need his form to return.
22:43Watson not happy with that.
22:45He knows he didn't get the line right up once again.
22:50Terrific form again.
22:51That was a good Yorker in terms of the length.
22:55Just the line was wrong.
22:58We see here, Bish, that it's flying off the turf.
23:01There might be a little bit of juice starting to settle.
23:04Yeah, I'm still confused, because every time they've had the short third man and two men
23:08behind point, they've gone wide with so many deliveries.
23:10If you've got that short third man and that short backward point, I think your line has
23:16to be straighter.
23:17Four times now, they've been, well, five times, they've been sliced away behind point.
23:25Surely the line has to be straighter.
23:27You feel as a bowler that if you get hit behind point and you've bowled that sort of middle
23:42to off stump line, you can take that.
23:44You know, you can live with that, because you're giving yourself an opportunity to take
23:48wickets.
23:48It's when it's that fourth, fifth, sixth stump line that's too wide, that's when there's
23:53issues.
23:54Yeah, I would feel good partnership, 35 or 22.
23:57I would feel that my plan is to bowl a good ball.
24:00What is my good ball?
24:01Is it, as you say, that middle and off or middle stump Yorker?
24:04If he slashes that somewhere, I have to live with that, because he's hit a good ball.
24:08But I don't want to give him that whiff outside the off stump.
24:12Five yellow balls.
24:14One just above off stump.
24:17Those are the boundaries.
24:17Hit that well too.
24:25Boundaries are reigning.
24:26What a good over for Bangladesh.
24:2817 from it.
24:30144 for five.
24:35Here's a bowler that I like.
24:36I know he's had his fitness problems, but Nathan Kool to Lyle, I think he's quick enough.
24:41He's got a very fluent run-up.
24:44Bowled a lot back of the length in his opening spell.
24:46And he shifts that line, or that length, I should say.
24:51And he goes back of the length, piece off the ball.
24:55He's a pure athlete, that's for sure.
24:57The way he runs in.
24:59And, uh, he's what we call, he bowls a heavy ball.
25:05And what that means is that he gets onto the bat a lot quicker than what you first think.
25:08Nice action, beautiful approach.
25:12It's like a West Indian wrap.
25:14It's the way he glides through the crease.
25:18Beautiful approach.
25:27Nice choice, nice choice.
25:29I mean, we talk smart batting.
25:31Looking to go over the man who was in at mid-off, rather than challenging Longhorn.
25:37It's a great shot.
25:39He just sort of rocked on the back shoe.
25:41Helped himself.
25:43Kultanoa knows straight away.
25:45And I'll tell you what, all of a sudden, Australia looking around about mid-150s here.
25:49Could have easily contained about 130, but a late surge, and they're on fire.
26:00In the gap there as well.
26:02Mamadou La Ria.
26:05150 comes up.
26:12Well, bowling at the death for Australia hasn't been kind.
26:15Certainly, once again, they're neither exposed.
26:19It's just that length we can get inside out and help yourself.
26:23And go towards cow corner as well.
26:26It's a good shot.
26:29Two length goals.
26:32Mamadou La Ria averaged 121 in the Asia Cup recently.
26:36So, I mean, generally, in the last 50 of the World Cup, it's four most good.
26:40It's continued.
26:44Could be a couple.
26:4550 partnership comes up.
26:52Just 27 deliveries between Mushfiko and Mamadou La.
26:58M&Ms.
26:59He's got to be...
27:01Oh.
27:01Mid-off extra cover is an option.
27:03They're both in close.
27:04Oh, bluff.
27:08That is a double bluff.
27:09Well-bought Nathan Coulton Isle just inside the guidelines.
27:12He's got a lovely, fluent action.
27:20He's got a...
27:22He's only the asynchronies where, just into the bound, as he gathers, he jumps to his left.
27:29Just there.
27:30Jumps out and gets widest of the crease.
27:32Instead of maybe keeping in a straight line, there's a strong action.
27:39Could come back for two.
27:41No, just one.
27:42So, 12 runs off that last over.
27:4944 of the last three.
27:51And after 20 overs, Bangladesh, 156 for five.
27:58Australia need 157 to win.
28:01The asking rate will be just under eight on average across their 20 overs.
28:07We'll take a short break.
28:08And when we come back, we'll have more for you.
28:10Welcome back to the Chinaswamy Stadium.
28:24As we continue this clash between Australia and Bangladesh,
28:29the Australians have a chase on their hands.
28:33157 to get from their 20 overs.
28:37Shane Watson opened the bowling.
28:38And now, opening the batting.
28:41Takes me back to school days, Brett.
28:44Not for me.
28:46Okay.
28:47All right.
28:48Maybe for you.
28:51Skip almost roughly more times.
28:53I'm losing the new ball to me.
29:01Well, lucky to get away with that.
29:03A gentle loosener.
29:08Wicket.
29:09Possible wicket anyway.
29:11Possible.
29:12Oh, no.
29:15Could be a run out as well.
29:20Would it have been an easier catch for the fieler coming in at mid on?
29:2451.
29:2551 without loss.
29:32Well, most of his nearly picked up a wicket.
29:36It's all because of the fact that the fielder was...
29:39Was of the leading edge.
29:44He was placing himself, getting underneath the ball.
29:47Look at his reaction.
29:49Muhammad Nuitun could not even lay a hand close to the ball.
29:55Unbelievable.
29:56You know, he's happy.
30:02Well, that's what he does with the ball.
30:04He creates opportunities.
30:06But when the opportunity comes, you've got to take it.
30:19Nice pickup.
30:20Someone catch it in the crowd.
30:22That is typical Shane Watson.
30:2460 without loss.
30:2660 without loss.
30:35Top shot from Shane Watson.
30:38Talking about not timing it.
30:41But take nothing away from this shot.
30:44Once again, the use of the feet.
30:47Wow.
30:47And the Murtaza has tried to wring the changes.
30:57She'll look after home.
31:01Into the attack.
31:04And loss of Arafat, Sunny and Toscan Ahmed.
31:08Would have picked the falling resources of Bangladesh, pretty roughly.
31:15It is a big blow for them.
31:25Nicely worked in the first run, taking it quickly, but no chance of getting a second run.
31:30Have a look at this shot.
31:35Beautiful piece of timing.
31:37Reaching to the pit at the delivery.
31:39And a swing of the bat.
31:41Teed off nicely.
31:42Could be tight.
31:50He will go upstairs.
31:53Yes, he does.
31:53He came back for the second and it was Shane Watson who wanted the second run back and he was in the danger end.
32:14Yes, got it.
32:21And my decision is out.
32:24Repeat out.
32:25Yes, sir.
32:33One down.
32:36One an arm from a Shabirah man.
32:41It's a shock to Watson.
32:4321 to him.
32:4462 for one.
32:47Oh, worth a shout.
32:49Pitching outside leg.
32:52Yeah, many go with that.
32:55Many don't really go with that.
32:56There's a team of players that have to go with that if that's the selectors wanting it and the coaching wants to go with it.
33:04But at times, it's quite nice to play in a team where you know an order and you know your role from one game to the next.
33:15But then you can take on any theory if you're winning and that's why a good win tonight will help settle things.
33:24Bowls him.
33:25That was a good delivery.
33:29Steve Smith's on his way.
33:32They still need 62 Australia and the Aussie captain gets resolved.
33:40It was a little quicker.
33:42It looked like it surprised him.
33:45He's gone for 14.
33:47Australia 95 for two.
33:48So Dave Warner enters at number four for Australia.
33:53It's strange not seeing him come out as opener and just blast that new ball around the paddock.
34:02But at number four, he's played five times here.
34:04He's got a strike rate of 160 and an average of 70 odd.
34:07And he's played here for three different teams.
34:14But another batsman who really does like playing here in Bengaluru.
34:18We showed Chris Gayle's stats yesterday and they are phenomenal.
34:28Another look at the dismissal of Steve Smith.
34:31So it was a seam that was sort of cross seam on the way down and through the legs.
34:41Very unusual.
34:42And he's got a terrific record here.
34:54David Warner.
34:56But he's going to face his first delivery from Mustafi's.
34:58And he picks up a single line to open up his account.
35:14Bangladesh has always looked up to most of his own.
35:17Bowled that beautifully.
35:19It was the length and the pace.
35:21He's managed to send out Steve Smith back to the hut.
35:29He enjoyed that.
35:39That's the kaboom.
35:43That's what he can do.
35:45Sonny Gavaskis alongside me.
35:47When he hits it, it stays hit.
35:49Yes, marginally shot.
35:51But look how quickly he transferred his weight onto the back foot and whacked it away.
35:55And made sure he whacked it away from the fielder at mid-wicket.
36:02Two left-handers at the crease and that's the reason why the off-spinner has been given a bit of a ball.
36:10Oh, it's down the ground and six.
36:12What about that for a stroke?
36:15Normally you'll see that go to the onside.
36:17He's on the back foot and he's pumped that over long off.
36:21Wonderful shot.
36:24Absolutely wonderful shot.
36:25He waited because the ball didn't quite come on.
36:27It was half, halfway down the pitch.
36:30Took his time.
36:30Then he's picked his spot.
36:32So it's a back foot lofted drive over extra cover.
36:36Very, very difficult to hit it over there.
36:38Did you ever dream of playing a shot like that, Sonny?
36:43No.
36:45Even in the best of my dreams, no.
36:49Extraordinary, isn't it?
36:51Well, that's some talent.
36:52I just really admire when they play the switch at all.
36:56He's safely home.
36:57He's very, very quick between wickets.
37:00David Warner.
37:02Straight away when he hit that, he knew.
37:04But this is the six.
37:06He's given himself just a little bit of room.
37:08Waited for the ball to do its bit.
37:10A little bit of turn.
37:12And it's gone.
37:14Well, almost broke the window pane of the car.
37:19I think it did.
37:20I think it came off the front pen today.
37:23Set off the airbag.
37:27There's a couple of dents in that one.
37:29I don't know who's going to win it.
37:29Well, even if somebody doesn't win it,
37:34you could actually ask for some discount
37:35for a dented car.
37:38Unused, dented car.
37:41So there's the first boundary.
37:44And it was well placed, but that was just brute force.
37:47And there's a bat that comes in play there.
37:50He's got such a big bat.
37:52Probably the biggest in the team.
37:57Balls him.
37:58So another wicket.
37:58This is Khawaja.
37:59Gets across the stumps.
38:01And loses his leg stump.
38:05Just a little bit lazy.
38:06The change of bowling.
38:08Alamin does the job.
38:11Yes, I think he was looking to take advantage
38:12of that fielder in the 30-yard circle,
38:14but missed the ball completely.
38:16Good hand, 58 to him.
38:181-1-5-3.
38:23Big player for Australia.
38:24Big player when in form.
38:26He's just got to find that form.
38:27He's the sort of player
38:28he can get a run on.
38:31And it'd be a nice time for him
38:33to start feeling good
38:34and start performing.
38:35If it starts in this game,
38:37running into the next,
38:39then he can take that run
38:42right through to the final
38:43if Australia can get there.
38:44He's that possible match winner.
38:50Oh, as a sniff.
38:52Shortened him up.
38:53And a surprise for Maxwell.
38:55Yes.
38:56Nice little welcome
38:57for him.
38:58Short ball.
38:59This is the wicket.
39:02Usman Khawja looking to glance the ball.
39:04The short, fine leg
39:05was in the 30-yard circle.
39:07So looking to take advantage of that.
39:09Maybe get a boundary down the leg side,
39:10but missed the ball completely.
39:12And the leg stump's been hit.
39:18But what a good bouncer that was.
39:19The first up to Maxwell.
39:24He's hitting through the line.
39:26He's hit that hard.
39:27It was in the air for a bit,
39:28but he's sort of crashed through the line.
39:31He's an interesting player.
39:32This is the first ball
39:33to Maxwell.
39:36And he started to shape up to play
39:38and then got out of the way.
39:41That's a good start.
39:43Almost a leg cutter too,
39:44the way it came out of the bowler's hand.
39:47And went at good speed as well
39:48to Mushrikul.
39:55He's off the mark.
39:58So what were your favourite grounds?
40:00Give me two.
40:00Every time you turned up,
40:03you thought, oh, runs today.
40:05Queen's back on them.
40:06Chinadad.
40:10There's the run out.
40:16Should not have been run out.
40:18That was two all the way.
40:20And then Steve Smith.
40:24He won't be happy with that one.
40:26And then Kawaji.
40:27So they're the three wickets.
40:30What's another one, Sonny?
40:40It's got to be a toss-up between
40:41one Cadet Stadium and
40:45Chennai.
40:47All right, we're talking about Australia's most destructive batsmen.
40:54Who do you think?
40:54Kawaji, Maxwell, Warner, or Watson?
40:58They're all power hitters.
40:59So that's how you can download the app or go to the website to take part.
41:08I mean, it's all about what you think.
41:13Two runs completed easily.
41:15That'll take us to a 219 for three after 14 overs.
41:18And go on, Dave, Warner, caught and bowled.
41:28Another wicket goes down.
41:33Straight back at him at pace.
41:35But his reflexes were good enough.
41:38He's a very clever bowler.
41:39The previous goal was a Yorker at the bats.
41:43This one again had attempted Yorker.
41:44Went a little bit full.
41:46But Warner's hitting straight back to Shakib.
41:48So he's gone for 17.
41:49119 for four.
41:52Shakib.
41:54The left-arm spinner.
41:55No wicket for 35 from three.
41:56Coming into the side.
41:57His economy rate's over 11.
41:59So the last over, very expensive for him.
42:02Just giving that advantage to Australia.
42:04Yeah.
42:04Yeah.
42:04Yeah.
42:04Yeah.
42:04Yeah.
42:04Yeah.
42:04Yeah.
42:04Yeah.
42:05Yeah.
42:06Yeah.
42:06Yeah.
42:06Yeah.
42:07Yeah.
42:07Yeah.
42:08Yeah.
42:09Still plenty of good cricket needed, though, for Australia to win this one, though.
42:15Most destructive batsmen for Australia.
42:17Well, you have voted.
42:20Glenn Maxwell, 46% to vote.
42:24Go to the website.
42:26Or we can download the official ICC World T20 2016 app.
42:31Get involved and let us know your thoughts.
42:34Well, this is David Warner's dismissal.
42:43Full toss.
42:44Hit it straight back to the bowl.
42:45It was a good call.
42:46Bowler went back at a good rate of knots and probably pretty lucky.
42:49He actually turned his head away.
42:51Stuck in the hand.
42:51Oh, that's a pretty handy delivery.
42:58He is such a find as far as Bangladesh is concerned because there's very little change in his delivery
43:06action when he bowls that slow delivery.
43:0979.3 miles per hour.
43:14Gets the ball to cut away from the right-hander.
43:17I just bowled six of them.
43:19I think that delivery is so hard to hit to the fence.
43:23Marsh will be looking for something to get pace on it.
43:26But I reckon just keep bowling that delivery.
43:29And again, this could be wickets.
43:31It's going to go back and take it.
43:33Big wicket.
43:34Marsh is gone.
43:35Beautiful bowling for Mustafi Vaka.
43:42Well, they saved him again.
43:44He was beaten by the previous delivery, the slowness of the delivery,
43:47because Mustafi Vaka bowls without any change in delivery speed.
43:52Six to him, 135 for five.
43:54It's the perfect delivery.
44:06I don't think he needs to change from here.
44:07It was the ball before that went to Marsh that beat the outside edge,
44:12and this time it sucked him in again.
44:18James Faulkner, the new matchman for Australia, in at number seven.
44:22And it is a pressure cooker.
44:24Situation here for Australia.
44:30Mustafi Vaka.
44:32Two wickets for 17.
44:35Bangladesh, though, he's only got four deliveries left,
44:37and there's a lot of four overs that like a bit more out of him.
44:41Leg side and over the top.
44:43And into the fence.
44:46That's a maximum.
44:47That's what they needed.
44:48I can't believe he didn't bowl that off-cutter again.
44:53Yes.
44:54Maxwell had done the right thing as he crossed over to be able to take the strike,
44:59and this is a low full toss.
45:01The attempt at Yorker going wrong.
45:03And hit into the advertising board.
45:10He knows that he should have maybe kept it around the off-stump, middle and off-stump.
45:15I think he's just got about exactly the same delivery bowl to Mitch Marsh.
45:19It's three of them.
45:20Oh, there you go.
45:23Why would you not leave that?
45:24You do not need to change it.
45:26It's hard enough to hit.
45:29The Australian's on pace on the ball.
45:33He's got two deliveries left.
45:34This is the wicket.
45:36Now, that delivery, he bowled at the ball before, and Marsh played and missed at it.
45:40And then the second time, didn't pick it up at all.
45:43It was beautifully bowled.
45:44And then the one that he bowled, the normal pace, got hit for six over backward square.
45:52It's amazing.
45:55There's so little change in his delivery action.
45:59The arm speed is pretty much the same.
46:02Over the top again, and the second one in the over.
46:07A wonderful shot from Glenn Maxwell.
46:10There's no one out in that part of the ground.
46:13Mid-on is up.
46:15There's only three out in the leg side.
46:18So, if you're going to be bowling the stumps, you've only got three out in the leg side.
46:22And then two out in the deep.
46:29Well, he's bowled it at the same speed where he'd been hit for a six over squarely.
46:35When he bowls a slower delivery, he's beating.
46:37That's what he's saying.
46:38Sakeb is saying, why don't you bowl those slow cutters?
46:42Last delivery.
46:46Toe end of the bat there from Maxwell.
46:48Well, that's a good over for Australia.
46:49I lost Mitch Marshall in there, but 13 coming up at 1.48 and 5.
46:53Well, nine now needed of 18 deliveries.
47:09So, there's two sixes of Mostafizur's final over has turned the match Australia's way.
47:18It's not just someone in the road.
47:26I think he's asking for the camera to move a little bit out of the road of the line of the bowler.
47:36Good to go.
47:37Stumped.
47:41Did he need to do it, Glenn Maxwell?
47:45Only nine from 18 balls.
47:47Did he need to run down the wicket and try and hit it out of the ground?
47:54Well, he's only trying to make the match interesting.
47:56Either it was one, a couple of shots and finished the match, or now make it interesting.
48:0226 to him, 1.48 for six.
48:11Glenn Maxwell, the last man out for Australia, stumped for 26 from 15.
48:15And that just adds a little bit more pressure to the Australian batting line-up.
48:30Maxwell departs.
48:31And John Hastings comes in at number eight for his first bat for Australia in this competition.
48:39And it just adds a bit more pressure to the batting line-up because of this from Glenn Maxwell.
48:46Just tried to finish it, didn't he?
48:48There's a wild swing down the wicket.
48:51And he's hit two sixes the over before, and he's missed that one.
48:54And Hastings is in.
48:56Chips in!
48:56Oh, he's dropped him!
48:59Could that be the moment?
49:01The fielding has let Bangladesh down so many times.
49:05That was easy.
49:06That's the second easy catch they've dropped today.
49:10You're absolutely right.
49:11The fielding has let Bangladesh down.
49:13Not just the catches, but even when they've been out on the field,
49:18the missed fields have conceded extra runs.
49:30Well, there's no excuses for fielding.
49:32I know sometimes you can't get the batting right, the bowling right, skills-wise,
49:37but fielding is something that any team can do well.
49:39It's just practice.
49:41You also got a question.
49:43Alamin is a quick bowler.
49:45Now, generally, quick bowlers are good in the outfield,
49:48not in that pivotal position at extra cover.
49:50But he covered the ground well.
49:52Mote to his left quite smartly,
49:54but he wasn't quite able to hold on to it.
50:00Oh, that nearly kept low.
50:02John Hastings.
50:04Come back to the second left.
50:06A hurry!
50:07Jeez!
50:10Tell you what, Australia,
50:12they're giving Bangladesh a chance to hit.
50:15I just felt the keeper probably should have been behind the stumps.
50:18Also, in the throw, if it had been just that little bit shorter,
50:22it was too close.
50:24That made it awkward for the wicket-keeper.
50:32They're getting opportunities, Bangladesh.
50:34They're going to take them.
50:35You want to win this game, it's a knockout game.
50:38That's gone into the deep.
50:41The man's getting behind it.
50:42It should be taken, it is.
50:46What is going on out there for Australia?
50:50Well, I think he was trying to play the finishing shot,
50:53the winning shot.
50:54Five needed.
50:56He thought he'd finish it with a six.
50:58But it's not easy to hit against a turn.
51:01And he's holed out to deep mid-wicket.
51:03Big John Hastings.
51:05Out for three.
51:06152 for seven.
51:08Well, look at that.
51:16He didn't quite hit it as well as he would have wanted to.
51:19Look how much inside the field there is.
51:22So if the aim was to finish with a six,
51:25it didn't put enough power in it.
51:27You reckon the Australians are a little worried?
51:31A bit worried, don't worry.
51:33I know it's only five.
51:35Well, the equation may look easy, five from 12,
51:42but I can tell you there are some nervous bodies there sitting watching this game.
51:46Anxious for Stephen Smith and the Australians.
51:55Now, Pete Neville has got a level head.
52:00He won't throw it away.
52:04He has five from 12, so they can actually afford to play seven dot balls.
52:09All they're going to do is look for five singles.
52:14The thing is, there's so much of a temptation when you just need five,
52:18and you know that you're strong and powerful, and you've got a big bertha in your hand.
52:22There's always a temptation to go for it, finish it off with one shot.
52:27Well, I just wonder if she'd bring the field up.
52:29At least another one on the offside for Pete Neville.
52:33Bring the deep point up.
52:36Because he's just going to chip it in the gap.
52:39Make him hit it over the top then.
52:40Make him play for that big shot.
52:42Because that's what you want.
52:43I think you've got to bring the field up.
52:45You've got to put pressure on the batsman.
52:48There's no one really in on that leg side around square leg,
52:51so he can knock it around the gaps.
52:53Absolutely.
52:54I think that's what they're trying to do.
52:55They're bringing that deep square leg in.
52:57They're moving the deep mid-wicket to square.
53:01So they're asking the batsman to play across the line.
53:09Well, they've got to fill the gap around point,
53:11because that's just to knock it into the gap at cover and run.
53:14That's too easy.
53:15You've got to have another one up there on the offside.
53:19You can just push forward and get down the other end.
53:27He's always going to get in a single off that pitch delivery.
53:36Let's have a look at the dismissal of Johnny Hastings.
53:38He didn't really get it.
53:40He didn't really try and hit it too hard.
53:43He just tried to, I don't know,
53:44chip it into the gap there.
53:53Shaqib, three for 27.
53:55This is Sajib.
53:57Oh, it's a good turn.
53:58Good turn.
53:59And that's why I think you've got to bring another one up on the offside.
54:04Need four from ten.
54:05Not going to play any big shots here.
54:08You want them to play a big shot.
54:10Yes, you want them to play across the line as well.
54:13There's a big gap there on the onside.
54:16That's four.
54:17That's four.
54:19And that'll do it.
54:21It was a half-tracker through the offside and it's more relief for the Australians than anything.
54:28Yes, they've won this game through James Fortner hitting a boundary.
54:31But for Stephen Smith and the Australians, they'll scratch their head and walk off and go, well, we've got the two points at least.
54:37Yes, they have.
54:39Once again, you've got to question the field placing of Bangladesh's skipper.
54:44In the previous over from Sajib, there were a lot of boundaries played in exactly that same area at deep extra cover.
54:50He still didn't have a fielder there because Sajib bowls the ball a little bit slowly.
54:54And therefore, by the time the ball reaches the batsman, they have the time to hit it.
54:59And that's towards extra cover.
55:01But that's exactly what the boundaries have come for in the last couple of overs from Sajib.
55:07That is what has cost them the match as well.
55:09I think the captaincy has been pretty ordinary.
55:13Mashrafe Murtaza has bowled just one over.
55:16He hasn't come into bat.
55:17So what is he in the team for?
55:19Is he in the team for his leadership?
55:21Well, certainly from here, the leadership and the captaincy has not looked good at all.
55:26But from Chinnaswamy Stadium here in Bengaluru, Australia getting up by three wickets.
55:31Thanks for your company tonight.
55:32Hope you enjoyed our coverage and we'll see you next time.
