Marcos confident 2026 budget can withstand legal scrutiny — Palace
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is confident that the 2026 national budget will be able to withstand scrutiny before the Supreme Court, Malacañang said on Jan. 6, 2026. Palace Press Officer Claire Castro issued the statement after House of Representatives Senior Deputy Minority Leader Edgar Erice said he would question the constitutionality of the 2026 national budget before the Supreme Court as it contained unprogrammed appropriations.
