00:52Super flu warning.
00:54It feels like I'm dying.
00:55I've never been this sick.
00:57Record hospitalizations.
00:59She's pregnant.
01:01The ER was slammed.
01:03And the New Year's Eve countdown.
01:06Concern the huge turnout could turn into a super spreader event.
01:11Then, human chain heroes.
01:14The car dangling.
01:16After skidding off the snowy road.
01:18The strangers to the rescue.
01:21Plus, the search for missing Camila.
01:24Citizen slips joining the hunt for the teen who vanished on Christmas Eve.
01:29People don't just vanish into thin air.
01:31Camila, if you can hear us, we are looking for you.
01:34Then, she said what?
01:36What Marjorie Taylor Greene just said about the puffy lips of Mar-a-Lago.
01:41And two notorious cold cases.
01:44The Zodiac Killer.
01:46The Black Dahlia.
01:47And are they connected?
01:49Has this code breaker finally solved the killings?
01:52He is probably the smartest criminal to ever live.
01:56Plus, Taylor Swift's Christmas tip surprise.
01:59Absolutely blown away.
02:00That's an entire paycheck for me.
02:02Now, Inside Edition with Eva Pilgrim.
02:06Hello and thanks for joining us.
02:08As we wrap up 2025, doctors are warning of a super flu.
02:12There's already a massive outbreak in England.
02:15Now, it's here.
02:17Jim Murray spoke with a woman who not only has the super flu, but she's also 20 weeks pregnant.
02:23The super flu is here, and it's wreaking havoc across the nation.
02:29It seems like everyone is getting the flu.
02:31The Centers for Disease Control report cases spiking.
02:34What we're seeing right now is a very rapid escalation in cases.
02:38So far, 4.6 million cases of the flu have been reported, resulting in 49,000 hospitalizations and 1,900 deaths.
02:46New York State just experienced the highest number of flu cases ever recorded in a single week.
02:52It feels like I'm dying.
02:54Symptoms include fever, cough, headaches, runny nose, fatigue, muscle aches and chills.
03:01Those stricken with the super flu are taking to social media, warning everyone to take precautions.
03:07I've never been this sick.
03:09I've never been this sick.
03:10My eyeballs felt like they were actually going to explode.
03:13Anna Gross, who is 20 weeks pregnant, ended up in the hospital.
03:17They were packed.
03:19I'm talking the ER was slammed.
03:22Um, everyone was coughing.
03:24Everyone's masked up.
03:25I was talking to the nurse that was handling my breathing treatments and stuff, and she said that the flu has just ransacked the hospital.
03:34The super flu variant originated in Europe and we're hearing reports of voluntary health checks at airports in the USA for international travelers.
03:45With millions of people flying over the holidays, it's a smart idea to take precautions.
03:50Where you sit on the plane can actually help you dodge the super flu.
03:54Dr. Michael Dano says stay away from aisle seats.
03:57It certainly provides you a protective barrier against additional passengers walking by or in the seats next to you.
04:04So that's a better seat than mine?
04:05Absolutely.
04:06Another tip?
04:07Turn on the overhead air vents to create a zone of clean air in front of your face.
04:11Even if you just put it on for just a moderate amount of speed, it does provide this invisible layer of protection around you.
04:17If you're high risk of complications, you know, then you might have to think more carefully about your New Year's plan.
04:24If you're low risk and you're generally healthy, then you have a lot more leeway.
04:28And hopefully the massive crowd ringing in the New Year in Times Square won't turn into a super flu, super spreader event.
04:36As Stephen Fabian reports today, the iconic ball drop got a test run.
04:41Three, two, one.
04:44Looking good.
04:45That's the message after a test run of the legendary New Year's ball drop in Times Square today.
04:51Outgoing New York Mayor Eric Adams reassured those worried about security.
04:56We will have plainclothes, canine teams, officers on horsebacks, on our trains, subway stations, and in helicopters and on boats.
05:05According to one new survey, 25% of Americans plan to ring in 2026 with friends and family.
05:12Now the rest figure maybe the safest and smartest thing to do is forego New Year's Eve parties altogether and stay right at home.
05:21For those home bodies, there will be plenty of entertainment.
05:24Brian Seacrest will, as usual, host Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve.
05:29We have got, at midnight, a legend performing.
05:32Diana Ross is going to do a medley of songs.
05:35That's right, the great Diana Ross will be performing live at the crossroads of the world.
05:44CBS will feature New Year's Eve Live, Nashville's Big Bash with Jason Aldean, Laney Wilson, and other stars.
05:51Jenna Bush Hager and Hoda Kotb will recap the year on NBC's A Toast to 2025.
05:56We are going to have a toast.
05:58Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen will pull off their double act on CNN.
06:02The other big TV event, the finale of the Netflix blockbuster Stranger Things, which starts streaming on December 31st.
06:09I need you to fight one last time.
06:14But for those planning to join in the biggest outdoor party of all, Times Square, you'd better bundle up.
06:21It's expected to be one of the coldest New Year's Eve in years.
06:25Dress warmly so you could enjoy the moment.
06:29Speaking of frigid weather, snow and icy roads have made driving treacherous.
06:34A husband and wife ended up losing control of their SUV, finding themselves stuck, dangling above a ravine.
06:41It could have ended in disaster, if not for good Samaritans who came to the rescue by forming a human chain.
06:48Up ahead, a car is skidding off the treacherous snow-covered mountain road.
06:53A hero immediately jumps into action, and what he finds is startling.
06:59The SUV has flipped on its side. You can see the wheels still spinning.
07:04The car is teetering off the cliff. It's a precarious situation.
07:08There is one lucky break. A tree stump is keeping the car from plunging into the ravine below.
07:14There's a man and woman and their two dogs inside.
07:17The hero, an army staff sergeant on his way to Lake Tahoe with his family, organizes a human chain.
07:23All these strangers risk their lives and hold onto the SUV as the two adults and dogs make it out unscathed.
07:31Wild weather is whipping up all over the USA. This is what it looked like in Montana.
07:38In South Carolina, a giant inflatable snow globe broke free and rolled across town.
07:45In upstate New York, a woman goes flying the second she steps outside.
07:52Winds topping 50 miles an hour almost ripped the door off its hinges.
07:56In Michigan, a guy practicing his golf swing at a driving range suddenly stops.
08:03Ice takes down the safety netting.
08:05Still no sign of the teenager who walked out of her home on Christmas Eve in her pajama bottoms and never came home.
08:13While cops desperately look for clues, there are also citizen sleuths on the case sharing every tidbit of information they can find.
08:22New clues are emerging today in the investigation of the 19-year-old beauty who vanished on Christmas Eve.
08:29They're coming from citizen sleuths who are using all their investigative skills to search for Camila Olmos.
08:35This surveillance photo shows Camila at her car at 7 a.m.
08:40Was someone watching her? Yes, according to this citizen sleuth.
08:44There could be a grainy image of a truck sitting just kind of behind the bumper and it looks like maybe on the road.
08:50I do sort of see something there.
08:52Camila's phone was found on her bed with a dead battery.
08:55That's sparking speculation about why she was rummaging through her car.
08:59Personally, I think she could have been going out to the car to get a charger.
09:02This sleuth wonders if Camila's recent breakup with her boyfriend is a factor in her disappearance.
09:08We need to point out that Nathan Gonzalez has been cleared of any involvement in her disappearance.
09:13It looks like this has turned now into a runaway case where Camila just had a very bad breakup with her boyfriend
09:19where she fell into a deep dark place and she's having trouble seeing the light.
09:24We spoke to one of the citizen sleuths who asked to be identified as Jasmine.
09:28I don't think that she just walked off talking with the mother, talking with the family.
09:31I'm getting actual feed coming in from a conversation with a dad.
09:34I personally think that someone took her.
09:37Camila's pals are regularly posting videos showing their missing friend.
09:41Authorities have also released dash cam video that they say show Camila walking along a road on the morning she vanished.
09:48It's a few blocks from her home.
09:50Are your concerns at this point that she's been kidnapped for human trafficking?
09:54What are your concerns?
09:55My concerns are that we might be looking in all the wrong places or we just that she might not even be in the same city as us anymore.
10:05Camila's mother says it's unusual and out of character for her daughter to leave her phone at home.
10:12Marjorie Taylor Greene, who is wrapping up her time in Congress, has not only turned against her once close ally, President Trump.
10:19She's now taking on the women surrounding the president, calling them out for the way they dress and the over the top cosmetic procedures she says they're getting.
10:29She said what?
10:32Marjorie Taylor Greene has unleashed a scathing critique of the women closest to President Trump.
10:37Her former ally now turned arch foe.
10:40I've always been uncomfortable with how these women puff up their lips and enlarge their breasts.
10:45She tells the New York Times, I never liked the MAGA Mar-a-Lago sexualization.
10:50She doesn't name names, but could she be referring to Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem dubbed Ice Barbie?
10:58Nothing prepares you.
11:00Daughter-in-law, Laura Trump.
11:02I stand before you tonight.
11:04Don Jr.'s ex, Kimberly Guilfoyle.
11:06With respect to the oil.
11:08And White House Press Secretary Carolyn Levitt, who was recently photographed for Vanity Fair with what looks like needle marks on her top lip.
11:16We spoke to dermatologist Dr. Doris Day about the look that has been dubbed Mar-a-Lago face.
11:21It's when the Botox is done to the point where your forehead can't move at all, which means the brows drop and you look a little stiff.
11:28And then the cheeks are overfilled and the lower lids are overfilled and then the lips are overfilled, which is out of proportion with the whole face.
11:36Conservative publicist Melissa Rain-Lively says the look conveys polish and glamour.
11:41The Trump woman is elegant, powerful, hyper-feminine and always looks impeccable.
11:47Marjorie Taylor Greene's critique comes on the heels of her very public feud with the president.
11:52What the hell happened to Marjorie Trader Greene?
11:55I was called a traitor by a man that I fought for five, no, actually six years for.
12:02Now the Georgia Congresswoman has launched an assault on her own, pouncing on MAGA pouts.
12:08They are two of the longest unsolved crimes in American history.
12:13The Zodiac Killer linked to five murders and Black Dahlia the killing of a young Hollywood hopeful.
12:19Now, a cold case investigator has come forward saying he believes they were both committed by the same killer.
12:27Has this man solved two notorious cold cases?
12:30Los Angeles, 1947.
12:32An aspiring actress, Elizabeth Short, is found brutally murdered on a vacant lot.
12:37She became known as the Black Dahlia.
12:40How long has she been dead?
12:41Uh, ten, twelve hours.
12:43Twenty-two years later, the Zodiac Killer shot six men and women in San Francisco over a ten-month period.
12:49Taunted police with letters written in code and signed with a Zodiac symbol.
12:56The murders have inspired books and movies.
12:58They're among the most famous in the annals of crime.
13:01Now, a cold case investigator says he believes they were committed by the same ruthless killer.
13:06He is probably the smartest criminal to ever, to ever live.
13:09Alex Baber says he cracked this code sent by the Zodiac Killer in 1970.
13:14He claims it says, my name is Marvin Merrill.
13:17So, who was Marvin Merrill?
13:19That was an alias.
13:20His real name was Marvin Margolis, who was the Black Dahlia's former boyfriend.
13:24He had a medical background.
13:26He was a USC medical student, and he was also a former Marine.
13:30The Black Dahlia case was basically a jealous boyfriend who wanted to kill his ex-girlfriend.
13:35That is correct.
13:36Margolis was a suspect in the Black Dahlia case, but was never charged.
13:40He also bears a striking resemblance to a police sketch of the man wanted for the Zodiac murders.
13:46Alex Baber says the Black Dahlia was likely murdered in one of these brightly colored cabins in an L.A. motel once known as, get this, the Zodiac.
13:55I believe that this was the inspiration for his moniker some 22 years later.
13:59And how do you feel knowing that had the Black Dahlia murder been solved, based on what you believe, there would have been no Zodiac killing?
14:07There wouldn't. He would have already been apprehended in jail at that time.
14:10There are other intriguing links.
14:12Alex Baber says each of the six Zodiac murders relates in some way to places and events in the life of the Black Dahlia.
14:20Marvin Margolis died in 1993.
14:23Among his possessions, a sketch of a nude woman he called Elizabeth, the same name as the Black Dahlia.
14:30We have identified the individual who committed these crimes irrefutably.
14:34We'll be back with much more Inside Edition after this.
14:38Next, hold on to your seat.

17:26Watch as three teenagers terrorize a family appearing at their front door in Virginia
17:31in scary Halloween costumes.
17:33I'm going to count to ten.
17:34If this door doesn't open, we're going to come in.
17:37Turns out the culprits are relatives of the homeowners.
17:40And it was all a Halloween prank.
17:42No charges were filed.
17:44And you've never seen a smash and grab like this.
17:4725 armed robbers burst into a jewelry store outside San Francisco.
17:51They destroyed display cases, stuffing jewelry into shopping bags.
17:55Little did they know they were being trapped inside.
17:58Thanks to an automatic locking mechanism on the door.
18:01So what did they do?
18:02They shot their way out of the jewelry store.
18:07And there were amazing natural phenomena caught on tape.
18:11Look at this wall of dust that barreled down on the city of Phoenix.
18:14Get inside. Let's go.
18:17In all the craziness, a couch went flying off a balcony.
18:20And dash cams caught a meteorite as it blazed through the sky, crashing to planet Earth.
18:25It landed on a house in Georgia, coming straight through the ceiling and piercing the floor.
18:30And this dramatic footage shows a medical helicopter crashing into a highway in Sacramento.
18:39Good Samaritans helped lift the chopper off the stricken victims.
18:42Pilot, nurse and paramedic on board were all critically injured.
18:46And a small plane made an emergency landing on a golf course in Los Angeles.
18:51The baby faced pilot is lucky to be alive.
18:55There was also this amazing rescue after a pilot made an emergency landing just off the beach in Oak Island, North Carolina.
19:02First responders on a jet ski pulled the pilot with the white sneakers feet first out of the flooded cockpit.
19:08Then they got the pilot onto a boogie board attached to the jet ski.
19:11They headed for paramedics on shore.
19:14What a year.

23:21She says she's using the money for rent, but did frame one of the bills as a memento.
