00:00Praise Him, praise Him, all you little children. God is love, God is love.
00:13Praise Him, praise Him, all you little children. God is love, God is love.
00:24Amen. We made it to the last Sunday of the year. Amen. Praise God. Thank you, Lord.
00:32Well, children, I have a very simple verse for you all today. I want you to look on the screen.
00:38Guya, Yohan. Next slide. Yes. All together, children here and children here. We're all children of the Lord.
00:48Let's read this verse together. This will be our memory verse for the day. Let's read.
00:52If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10.9.
01:07Now, there's two words there that I want you to focus on and to highlight. What two words do you see are highlighted in blue?
01:15Confess.
01:16Confess and believe.
01:19So, those are the two very simple acts of faith that we must do in order to receive the gift of salvation.
01:30We must confess with our mouth that what?
01:35What is the confession? Jesus is Lord.
01:38It's a very simple confession.
01:40Jesus is Lord.
01:42Not Caesar is Lord, which would have been something they would have been told to say back in those old days.
01:48Or today, we would be told that the government is Lord, or this person, that person, that idea is Lord.
01:55No, Jesus is Lord.
01:57But also, the second part of it is, the second blue word.
02:02Believe in that.
02:04And when we believe in our heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, there's a promise.
02:12What is that promise, everybody?
02:13You will be saved.
02:16And that's the one thing that I want us to come away with today.
02:19All of the things we've learned about the Christmas story, the Bible lessons you learned during Sunday school, all of those things are very, very important.
02:28But the most important thing for us to hold on today is that if we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord,
02:34and we believe in our heart of hearts that Jesus did not remain the baby in Bethlehem,
02:40he did not remain the crucified Savior on the cross,
02:43he did not remain the one who died and was buried in the tomb for three days,
02:49but that he rose again.
02:50And that's why we do the Apostles' Creed every Sunday,
02:52to remind us of what we believe by true faith.
02:56Okay?
02:57And if we believe in our heart that God raised Jesus from the dead,
03:00we will be saved.
03:02That's the good news.
03:03That's the gospel.
03:03Let's pray.
03:04Let's fold our hands,
03:05bow our heads,
03:06and close our eyes.
