00:06:13CHEERING
00:06:13You are on that. Amazing.
00:06:18Bit milk to you all.
00:06:20Let's get started.
00:06:22First, onto the floor with Charleston.
00:06:24It's comedian, Babatunde Aleshe and his partner, Nancy.
00:06:27CHEERING
00:06:28Hold on. Oh, yeah?
00:06:35I love getting to do this.
00:06:40Hi, people.
00:06:40My name is Babatunde Aleshe and I'm best known for being a stand-up comedian.
00:06:45I was like...
00:06:47I just get to make people laugh all day.
00:06:50That's just the best job ever.
00:06:53What I like about dancing is watching other people do it.
00:06:58I'm not supposed to be doing something like this.
00:07:01I don't dance.
00:07:01I mean, I'm looking forward to, like, challenging myself and seeing what I could do.
00:07:07But there's no turning back from this.
00:07:09I can't act hard anymore.
00:07:11Like, the man am I going to be like, nah, bruv, you're a ballroom dancer.
00:07:15Oh, Lord, what am I doing?
00:07:18What am I doing, guys?
00:07:20Learning the Charleston.
00:07:23I'm finding it very, very hard.
00:07:26That, that, that.
00:07:27Again.
00:07:28Yeah, they say less is more, but not with the Charleston.
00:07:33More is more.
00:07:34More, more, more, more.
00:07:35You can do better.
00:07:36How Nancy is teaching me is by chasing me around the room.
00:07:42Telling me to do it again.
00:07:43Cat, cat.
00:07:44I love you.
00:07:45Do it again.
00:07:46Oh!
00:07:46When it comes to the show, I'm going to be a bag of nerves.
00:07:50I'm a bag of nerves now.
00:07:51But I'm getting the hang of it, bit by bit.
00:07:55In my dance, I am the naughty elf.
00:07:58I'm trying to convince Nancy to be naughty, but I think she needs some practice.
00:08:03So we are at a group rehearsal.
00:08:05I've given Nancy an airpiece, and I'm going to make her mess with some of the dancing.
00:08:10This is going to be so much fun.
00:08:13Okay, Nancy, nod your head if you can hear me.
00:08:15All right.
00:08:15Go up to Kai and say, you look like an action figure.
00:08:18You look like an action figure.
00:08:20Me?
00:08:21Yeah.
00:08:22What one?
00:08:22Barbie.
00:08:23Barbie.
00:08:25Are you okay today?
00:08:28Okay, hide, hide, hide.
00:08:30Praise coming.
00:08:30Hide, hide, hide.
00:08:32Hide!
00:08:32Get some snacks.
00:08:36Give Nick one.
00:08:37Put it in his mouth.
00:08:38Chinese medicine.
00:08:41Scream jingle bells to wake him up.
00:08:44Jingle bells!
00:08:46Okay, tell him you smell nice.
00:08:48You smell like Christmas cake.
00:08:50Can I bite you?
00:08:52That's a clear no.
00:08:54Thank you very much.
00:08:55That was incredible.
00:08:57I think that you're ready to be a naughty elf.
00:09:00Oh, absolutely.
00:09:00Ready.
00:09:01All right, let's go practice.
00:09:02We're going to rehearse.
00:09:03See you guys.
00:09:04All right.
00:09:09Dancing the Charleston by Tunde Eleshay and his partner, Nancy Shuey.
00:09:13You better watch out, you better not cry, you better not pout.
00:09:39I'm telling you why.
00:09:40I'm telling you why.
00:09:40Why?
00:09:41Santa Claus is coming to town.
00:09:44Dad or why?
00:09:46He's making a list.
00:09:47He's checking it twice.
00:09:48He's going to find out who's naughty and nice.
00:09:50Santa Claus is coming to town.
00:09:54He sees you when you're sleeping.
00:09:57He knows when you're away.
00:09:59He knows if you've been bad, good, so be for goodness sake.
00:10:04You better watch out.
00:10:06You better not cry.
00:10:07You better not pout.
00:10:08I'm telling you why.
00:10:09Santa Claus is coming to town.
00:10:13You better watch out.
00:10:14You better not pout.
00:10:15I'm telling you why.
00:10:16You better not pout.
00:10:17I'm telling you why.
00:10:18I'm telling you why.
00:10:19I'm telling you why.
00:10:20He sees you when you're sleeping.
00:10:21And he knows when you're away.
00:10:23He knows if you've been bad, good, so be good for goodness sake.
00:10:28You better watch out
00:10:30You better not cry
00:10:31You better not pout
00:10:32I'm telling you why
00:10:33Santa Claus is coming to town
00:10:37You better watch out
00:10:40You better not cry
00:10:41You better not pout
00:10:42I'm telling you why
00:10:43Santa Claus is coming
00:10:45You mean the big fat man
00:10:47With the long white beard
00:10:48He's coming to town
00:10:58Oh, yes, Baba
00:11:05You have a cheeky little elf, aren't you?
00:11:09Let's put us all in the Christmas mood
00:11:11Dancing on the telly
00:11:13On Christmas Day
00:11:15How does that feel?
00:11:16It's good
00:11:16I feel good
00:11:17Yes
00:11:18I'm tired
00:11:18Yes
00:11:19Now, I know a George
00:11:21Who happens to love a Charleston
00:11:23Let's see if he's going to be naughty
00:11:25Or nice
00:11:25I do love a Charleston
00:11:29And I like being naughty
00:11:30That is true
00:11:31For me, that was a little laid back
00:11:34I've got to be honest
00:11:35It looked like you were dancing
00:11:44After you just had your full Christmas dinner
00:11:46But you know what?
00:11:48The swivel was absolutely brilliant
00:11:51Your timing was exceptional
00:11:53And your musicality was wonderful
00:11:55It was a really great routine
00:11:57Excellent
00:11:59You're very fussy about the swivel
00:12:01I know
00:12:01Motsey
00:12:02Well, it wouldn't be Christmas without a naughty elf on the shelf
00:12:07And you gave us to be a bath
00:12:09A naughty elf on the shelf
00:12:12And dancing
00:12:13You were excellent
00:12:14We love the musicality
00:12:16We love your personality
00:12:18Thank you
00:12:19Thank you
00:12:21Very well, guys
00:12:22Thank you
00:12:23Shirley
00:12:24A very, very delicious Christmas cake
00:12:28Very naughty
00:12:29But very nice
00:12:30I like Christmas cake
00:12:31I have to say
00:12:33Everything in that was tasty, yummy
00:12:35And truly scrumptious
00:12:37Wasn't it, Anton?
00:12:37Oh, we loved it
00:12:39And the swivels
00:12:40And the connection
00:12:40And the timing
00:12:42Was just the star on the cake
00:12:44You were absolutely divine together
00:12:46Well done, you
00:12:47Thank you
00:12:47Well done
00:12:48Well done
00:12:50Oh, hello, swivel
00:12:53What about that, swivel?
00:12:55Come on, on your own
00:12:57Giving it plenty
00:12:57I like it
00:12:58Very clean
00:12:59Great timing
00:13:00Lovely partnering
00:13:01I enjoyed it enormously
00:13:03Well done
00:13:04Thank you so much
00:13:05Sounds like the judges love an elf
00:13:09Who can swivel
00:13:09Absolutely, yeah
00:13:11Congratulations
00:13:11Go on, enjoy the party
00:13:13Thank you
00:13:14Thank you, Baba
00:13:15Thank you, thank you
00:13:16Baba and Nancy
00:13:18Baba
00:13:19Well done
00:13:30We just opened the Christmas show
00:13:32Yeah
00:13:33How did you find it?
00:13:34I found it really good
00:13:35I'm tired
00:13:36Yes
00:13:37My lord
00:13:38I know
00:13:38This is the Charleston
00:13:40I know
00:13:40Why do you guys do this?
00:13:42This is tiring
00:13:43You did have the most tiring dance
00:13:45It's hard work, right?
00:13:47Yes
00:13:47But do you know what?
00:13:48I said to him
00:13:49Yeah
00:13:49Accept at the moment
00:13:51Uh-huh
00:13:51You can do the Charleston
00:13:52Then you will feel great
00:13:54In Christmas night
00:13:56Yes
00:13:56Because you can just sit there
00:13:58Or sit in the bed
00:13:59Or lie in the bed
00:14:00Having any food in your bed
00:14:01That's right
00:14:02Without guilty
00:14:02I plan to do that
00:14:03Don't worry about that
00:14:04You absolutely smashed that
00:14:06How happy are you about the judges' comments?
00:14:08You know
00:14:09Maybe
00:14:09And another time
00:14:11Maybe
00:14:12You might see a better Charleston
00:14:14Who knows
00:14:15I've never seen a better Charleston
00:14:16You've never
00:14:16Not what you saw tonight
00:14:18Tonight was the one
00:14:19Christmas
00:14:20That's right
00:14:20Correct
00:14:21Christmas Charleston
00:14:22Yes
00:14:22Ten out of ten
00:14:23Good luck
00:14:24To both of you
00:14:26Thank you
00:14:26Scores are in
00:14:26Ladies and gentlemen
00:14:27The judges have their scores
00:14:29Come on
00:14:30Craig Revel Horwood
00:14:31Eight
00:14:32Come on
00:14:32Yes
00:14:33Yes
00:14:33Yes
00:14:34Come on
00:14:34Yes
00:14:35Maxi Mabuse
00:14:35Nine
00:14:36And Antoine Dubé
00:14:43Nine
00:14:44You're happy
00:14:50It's naughty
00:14:53I'm very happy
00:14:58I'm very happy
00:14:59Yeah but
00:14:59Oh the door
00:15:00The door
00:15:01The door
00:15:02Excuse me
00:15:02That's the door
00:15:04Thank goodness
00:15:19They can dance
00:15:20Oh dear
00:15:20But I now feel Christmassy
00:15:25Thank you
00:15:25Beautiful judges
00:15:27Thank you
00:15:28Our next couple
00:15:29Is former All Saints star
00:15:31Melanie Blatt
00:15:32And her partner Kai
00:15:33Tonight they're dancing
00:15:34To the song
00:15:35Santa Baby
00:15:36And just like Santa
00:15:37Mel's hoping to deliver
00:15:38The perfect gift
00:15:39For Christmas Day
00:15:40A sophisticated
00:15:41Strictly performance
00:15:43So I'm Mel
00:15:48And I'm going to be
00:15:50Attempting to dance
00:15:51I used to be in a band
00:15:53In the 90s
00:15:54Called All Saints
00:15:55It was amazing
00:15:56Being with my best mates
00:15:58Travelling the world
00:15:59But the dancing
00:15:59Was a lot of plodding around
00:16:01There was a lot of shoulder bopping
00:16:03Back in those days
00:16:04I don't think there's going to be
00:16:05Any comparison
00:16:06To dancing on Strictly
00:16:07I've always been nervous
00:16:10When I sang
00:16:11So this is going to be
00:16:12Like times a million
00:16:13I am at the point
00:16:16In my life
00:16:16Where I know
00:16:17That I need to challenge myself
00:16:19I mean you know
00:16:19It's a once in a lifetime experience
00:16:21I'm just going to give it my best
00:16:23Kick
00:16:26Kick
00:16:27We are going to be dancing
00:16:29The Etta Jazz
00:16:31It's sort of Fred and Ginger-esque
00:16:32A lot of sort of posing
00:16:34I'm actually really enjoying it
00:16:37And that's probably got something
00:16:38To do with Kai as well
00:16:39I mean he's so lovely
00:16:40I'm holding on to you
00:16:41For doing it like that
00:16:42That's okay
00:16:42That's normal
00:16:43I wouldn't say I'm in my natural element here
00:16:46Because I've got scoliosis
00:16:47And I've got metal rods in my spine
00:16:48And that makes me quite stiff
00:16:50Yeah and let's give it Gene Kelly
00:16:52So if my life on Strictly wasn't hard enough
00:16:55Kai decided to bring umbrellas
00:16:56Into this relationship
00:16:57It's just like to me
00:16:59A spiky weapon
00:17:01I don't like doing anything half-hearted
00:17:07Whether I can put it off
00:17:08I don't know
00:17:09But I'm going to give it a good go
00:17:10So we've been so busy rehearsing
00:17:14And Kai's been so amazing
00:17:15Teaching me this dance
00:17:16I thought I'd take him to the fairground
00:17:18And let him have some fun
00:17:19On some rides
00:17:20What a lovely idea
00:17:23Mel had
00:17:24To bring me to the winter fair
00:17:25It's not really Mel's cup of tea
00:17:27I love it
00:17:28I've never seen a fully grown human man
00:17:34Enjoy fairground rides as much as Kai
00:17:36It's really really joy
00:17:37Watching him
00:17:38Love it so much
00:17:40Oh my gosh
00:17:43We're trying to get Mel on the roller coasters
00:17:51All day
00:17:52But she's finally agreed to one
00:17:53And I've heard it's really scary
00:17:55Are you ready?
00:18:03Yes
00:18:04It's been an amazing night
00:18:08We've had so much fun
00:18:10And now I'm just ready to get on that dance floor
00:18:12And dance
00:18:13Dancing theatre jazz
00:18:20Melanie Bled and her partner Kai Wiginton
00:18:23Santa baby
00:18:35Slip the table under the tree
00:18:37For me
00:18:38I've been an awful good girl
00:18:41Santa baby
00:18:43So hurry down the chimney tonight
00:18:45Santa baby
00:18:50A 54 convertible 2
00:18:53Light blue
00:18:54And I'll wait up for you
00:18:56Do you Santa baby
00:18:58So hurry down the chimney tonight
00:19:01Santa baby
00:19:06I'll fill my sucking with a duplex
00:19:09And a chest
00:19:10Sign your X on your line
00:19:13Santa baby
00:19:14So hurry down the chimney tonight
00:19:17Santa baby
00:19:18Oh my gosh
00:19:34Do you Santa baby
00:19:36Good girl's a
00:19:41Do you Santa baby
00:19:46Now the gym tonight, say the baby, hurry down the gym tonight.
00:20:00You made it!
00:20:02Good job, well done.
00:20:04Thank you, Mel. Well done, my darling.
00:20:07I'm not surprised you look pleased with yourself.
00:20:10You made that look excellent, love.
00:20:11I can't believe it's still standing.
00:20:13It was good.
00:20:14You made it look easy. Did you enjoy it?
00:20:16I did, I really enjoyed it.
00:20:18It took me a while to get to that point, but right now I enjoyed it.
00:20:21Well, the audience loved it.
00:20:22Let's see how the judges felt.
00:20:23A little bit of theatre jazz for you, Shirley.
00:20:25Ooh, Anton and I love a little bit of theatre jazz.
00:20:28It was full of glitz and glamour, baubles, bangles,
00:20:32everything that goes divine that hangs on your tree.
00:20:35Light, camera, action.
00:20:37And I particularly like the way you used the umbrella in the middle.
00:20:40You were totally in sync.
00:20:42You were never in sync, darling, on your umbrella.
00:20:44An umbrella.
00:20:45Umbarella.
00:20:46Your umbrella scene was fabulous.
00:20:48The whole thing, I just thought, well, that was fabulous.
00:20:50Did you think it was fabulous?
00:20:51Oh, I loved it.
00:20:52Fabulous.
00:20:53Fabulous.
00:20:54Fabulous.
00:20:55Oh, Anton.
00:20:57It was the night before Christmas.
00:21:00And all was quiet in the department store until you came in
00:21:04and started all that nonsense.
00:21:06I mean, I loved it.
00:21:07It was all stylish and sophisticated and theatre jazz.
00:21:11Yeah.
00:21:12Oh, I love a bit of theatre jazz.
00:21:14I don't know what it was.
00:21:15That was...
00:21:16That was terrific.
00:21:18Your timing.
00:21:19I loved your timing.
00:21:20Ba-da.
00:21:21Ba-da.
00:21:22All the tacit beats there that you hit and all that, giving it all...
00:21:25I really enjoyed it.
00:21:27And it's still an umbrella.
00:21:31All that and umbrellaography.
00:21:34Well done, Mel.
00:21:36Clear to jazz.
00:21:37We're talking your language, Craig.
00:21:38Indeed.
00:21:39The custard was getting a little bit lumpy, darling.
00:21:42Oh.
00:21:43Well done.
00:21:44I don't know.
00:21:45It's just going much more beautiful.
00:21:49But you have a magnificent develope.
00:21:51I saw you do that, my love.
00:21:53You did those really sharp and fantastic jab kicks, which I love.
00:21:57The prop work is always difficult.
00:21:59I think you did a very fine job of it, my love.
00:22:02Wow.
00:22:04I love Christmas, Craig.
00:22:08Not sick.
00:22:09Listen.
00:22:10If Santa saw this dance, he would be sprinting down the chimney.
00:22:16Because this was lovely.
00:22:17It was sensual.
00:22:18You were in sync.
00:22:20It had a flair.
00:22:21And to top it all off, what a beautiful smile.
00:22:25Thank you so much.
00:22:27The judges loved it.
00:22:29And the audience did too.
00:22:30You're gorgeous.
00:22:31Thank you, Mel.
00:22:32Thank you very much.
00:22:33Mel and Kai.
00:22:36Come on then, let's get up these stairs.
00:22:38I love your face throughout all of that.
00:22:51You were like, yeah, this is what I'm doing.
00:22:53It's Christmas Day.
00:22:54And your daughter, Lillie Ella, she came over from America.
00:22:56Yeah, but I haven't seen it for a year.
00:22:59So I can't wait for it to be done so I can go and give her a big hug.
00:23:02Yeah, it won't be long.
00:23:03I promise.
00:23:04Tell me about how have you found the whole strictification?
00:23:08It's been amazing, yet challenging.
00:23:11You know, coming and getting out of my comfort zone.
00:23:13Having to wear a dress.
00:23:14Having to look like custard.
00:23:15You know, all of these things.
00:23:17But it's very Christmassy custard, so it's fine.
00:23:19It's absolutely fine.
00:23:21Kai, I have to mention your mum, Candice.
00:23:23She is in the audience tonight.
00:23:25She is, yes.
00:23:26And she makes you very special snack for Christmas Day.
00:23:29Share with the group.
00:23:30Yeah, so every Christmas morning since I was a boy,
00:23:32she's always made sausage rolls by hand,
00:23:35but with the secret ingredient of mango chutney.
00:23:38And I have to tell you, it is to die for.
00:23:41We're all here for it.
00:23:42Congratulations.
00:23:43You were both excellent.
00:23:44The scores are in.
00:23:45The judges' scores are in.
00:23:47Craig Revelhorn.
00:23:49Eight.
00:23:50You take an eight.

00:24:05Happy with that.
00:24:06Congratulations.
00:24:07Congratulations.
00:24:08Congratulations.
00:24:09Still to come, Scarlett and Vito dance a cha-cha.
00:24:12How is training going?
00:24:13By the way, you both look magnificent.
00:24:16How is training?
00:24:17Honestly, we've had such a giggle.
00:24:19Things have jiggled on my body that I didn't know could jiggle,
00:24:21but it's just like...
00:24:23I've just honestly laughed from start to finish.
00:24:26Yeah, we laugh a lot, we chat a lot, and we snack and we eat
00:24:29a lot.
00:24:30Yeah, we eat a lot.
00:24:31We dance.
00:24:32We dance.
00:24:33OK.
00:24:34We can't wait to see it.
00:24:35I don't know if they've been drinking.
00:24:36Tess.
00:24:37Our next couple is Westlife star Brian McFadden and his partner,
00:24:40Michelle, and they are going to be dancing a jive.
00:24:43Oh, Tess.
00:24:44Now, before you carry on, I just...
00:24:47You know there isn't an Argentine tango in the show tonight,
00:24:50but...
00:24:51And we all know it's your favourite dance, so the four of us,
00:24:54we've had a whip round and we decided to get you one for Christmas.
00:24:57Aw, thank you!
00:24:59First present ever!
00:25:03capable .
00:25:25A little bit too much stuffin' with the turkey.
00:25:29Hello, I'm Brian McFadden.
00:25:31You probably know me best for being in Westlife.
00:25:34Being in Westlife was one of the best experiences of my life,
00:25:37getting to travel around the world, being a pop star,
00:25:39which is something I never thought I was going to be as a kid.
00:25:42My house was always full of dancing.
00:25:45It was a huge part of growing up in Ireland.
00:25:47I wasn't very good at it, but I absolutely loved doing it.
00:25:50You know, Strictly, it's an institution.
00:25:52It's part of British history.
00:25:54But the main reason I'm doing this is for my daughter Ruby.
00:25:56She's absolutely obsessed with Strictly.
00:25:58I can't wait to see her little face when she sees me on Christmas Day.
00:26:06The jive is very, very difficult. It's not an easy dance.
00:26:09Point yourself.
00:26:10You know, it's fast. You need really good stamina for it.
00:26:13It's hard.
00:26:15You see, there's this preconceived idea that being in a boy band
00:26:17means you're a great dancer.
00:26:19But my Westlife days, our biggest dance move
00:26:21was getting off the stool for the key change.
00:26:24So today was a little bit of a break from the norm
00:26:28and we had my wife, Danielle, and my daughter, Ruby, come down and join us.
00:26:31Hey!
00:26:32Hello!
00:26:33Hi, you, sweetie.
00:26:35Do you want to watch us do our dance?
00:26:37Christmas.
00:26:38I don't want to miss on the holidays.
00:26:41My daddy's the best dancer in the world.
00:26:44Dad!
00:26:47I think my daddy's going to win Strictly.
00:26:50I heard that there's a great choir on in Somerset House singing Christmas carols,
00:26:58so I'm bringing Michelle to see what I do every day.
00:27:00Can't wait.
00:27:01It is Merry Christmas.
00:27:03Everybody's having fun.
00:27:07What a little treat for Christmas.
00:27:08To be able to hear all those voices around you.
00:27:10So beautiful.
00:27:11It is really magical.
00:27:12It's the best thing in the world.
00:27:14Hey!
00:27:15Now that we have you here, there actually is a particular number we sing first.
00:27:20Oh, really?
00:27:21About flying.
00:27:22I'll fly without wigs.
00:27:25I wasn't really prepared for that, but I've been singing that song for 27 years now,
00:27:28so it's in there.
00:27:30Everybody's looking for that something.
00:27:36One thing that makes it all complete.
00:27:39When Brian was singing, it did feel quite emotional.
00:27:42It's a beautiful song.
00:27:48To be able to sing with a big choir like that, that was a pretty special moment.
00:27:54Now, it feels like the night before Christmas.
00:27:56Everything's ready to go, and now, focus on the dance.
00:28:09Dancing with a job, Brian McFadden and his partner Michelle Chekis.
00:28:13It is an intense dance.
00:28:32F・ k・ et s・ ・ ・ ・ Now to see you!
00:28:34Run by Rudolph, say you gotta be in the town.
00:28:40When the biggie hurts, the biggie's in the freeway town.
00:28:46And the way we rule off, we've been like a medical.
00:28:52So tell me to a boy child, what have you been mowing for?
00:28:58And the water walkin' with this is a rock and rollin' let's take it hard.
00:29:04And the way we rule off, we've been like a children's side.
00:29:11Run by Rudolph, say you gotta be in the town, yeah.
00:29:17Give me a biggie, call me, tell me, make me feelin' bad.
00:29:22And the way we rule off, we've been like a medical.
00:29:26Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
00:29:34Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
00:30:04Are you okay Brian, are you okay there Milo?
00:30:14I mean, not many people could manage that after a Christmas dinner by Jive
00:30:20I'm way too much turkey
00:30:22You can have a lie down in a minute
00:30:24Oh a minute
00:30:25Not just yet, let's go to the judges find out what they thought first
00:30:28You've got a pretty good view there Anton
00:30:30Oh yeah, I had too close
00:30:35You were thrilled with that bit there weren't you enjoying this film?
00:30:39Yeah
00:30:40He gets an extra point
00:30:42It did make me think I must go home and crack some walnuts
00:30:45I know how to do it now
00:30:47What a clenching going on
00:30:50I thought this was great
00:30:54I loved it
00:30:57Absolutely magical
00:30:59I mean, a rock and roll number from the rock and roll star
00:31:02You were magnificent
00:31:04I thought that was terrific
00:31:06Oh, thank you
00:31:08That's what we like to hear, please
00:31:11It did lack a little bit of precision
00:31:14Oh, it's Christmas
00:31:19That's the only negative
00:31:21The energy was absolutely fantastic
00:31:24You even had retraction in your kicks
00:31:28I loved that
00:31:29It was full of fantastic content
00:31:31You styled it out
00:31:33I didn't know what was happening here
00:31:35When you were climbing up
00:31:36That makes two of us

00:40:14She was in charge
00:40:15It was like the fight scene with the family on Christmas Day

00:40:27Thank you
00:40:28I'm gone
00:40:29I enjoyed it enormously
00:40:30I mean, Neil, you picked a dance to do
00:40:33A powerful dance like that
00:40:35I mean, I have to be honest, you came second best
00:40:37She was mighty
00:40:38She was mighty
00:40:39You were magnificent
00:40:40You were
00:40:43Wham!
00:40:44Wham!
00:40:45Wham!
00:40:46Two falls in a submission
00:40:47It was incredible
00:40:48I really, really
00:40:49Your timing was good
00:40:51Your musicality is good
00:40:52Your power was tremendous
00:40:54Got a style as well
00:40:56Yeah
00:40:57I reckon you should do the main show
00:40:58Yeah
00:40:59Following Harry's mistake
00:41:00What about that?
00:41:01He's good
00:41:02He's really good
00:41:03Craig
00:41:04Yeah, I have to agree
00:41:06Strong, clear, clean lines and moves
00:41:10I particularly love all the floor work that you were doing
00:41:13Because that stuff is not easy
00:41:15I particularly loved, loved, loved the rugby tackle
00:41:19Seeing Neil go down
00:41:20That was my favourite bit
00:41:22Yeah
00:41:23Because he deserves that sometimes
00:41:25I thought the whole thing was formidable
00:41:29I think all the judges enjoyed Neil going down, Jodie
00:41:34I think all the judges enjoyed Neil going down, Jodie
00:41:36Sorry
00:41:37And they certainly enjoyed your performance
00:41:38Congratulations

00:41:45Thank you
00:41:46Thank you
00:41:47Thank you
00:41:52Well done, darling
00:41:54You did so, so well
00:41:57And it was a hard routine
00:41:58It was hard
00:41:59It was really hard
00:42:00I think it was hard
00:42:01Did you enjoy it, Jodie?
00:42:02Well, it was like a hit class
00:42:03I thought we were dancing
00:42:04But that was hard
00:42:06Like, I'm absolutely blowing
00:42:10You were magnificent
00:42:11And how much does it mean for you to be here?
00:42:13Um, well, I think obviously it's been a pretty hard time
00:42:17And it, um, because last week I sort of lost my dad
00:42:21Which was a shock
00:42:22And he was going to be here tonight to watch me
00:42:24So I think, if anything, it's actually been amazing to be around these guys
00:42:28Just getting me through it
00:42:29And, um, to be honest, I just danced like he was in the audience
00:42:36And I'm just happy my mum's here as well
00:42:38And she's, you know, got out on that
00:42:40So, yeah
00:42:41Yeah
00:42:42It meant a lot
00:42:43You did brilliantly
00:42:44We love you, Jodie
00:42:45Neil, how has it been working with this extraordinary woman?
00:42:48Honestly, it's been incredible
00:42:50And, you know, we all turn around every time and say
00:42:52Oh, they're great, they're working hard
00:42:54I said, I said to you, I sent you a message
00:42:56And I said, if my daughter can be like you when she grows up
00:43:00I will be the happiest man in the world
00:43:02APPLAUSE
00:43:04You're amazing, good luck, the scores are in
00:43:07Will the judges please reveal their scores?

00:43:31I'm, I'm just speechless, to be honest
00:43:34Right, you know, I just wanted to get through that dance
00:43:36Never mind that, so I'm honestly chuffed
00:43:38Oh, so sorry
00:43:40Someone's there
00:43:41It's the door
00:43:42Hello
00:43:43Oh, 47 mince pies for a Miss Tea Daily
00:43:47Yes
00:43:48We live together
00:43:49Yes
00:43:50I'll take those
00:43:51There was a few more, but I got a bit hungry
00:43:53LAUGHTER
00:43:55Tuck in
00:43:56Yeah, go on
00:43:57Everyone get it
00:43:59Yes
00:44:00Oi, save me a mince pie, you lot
00:44:02It is time now for something romantic
00:44:05So snuggle up on the sofa
00:44:07Give your loved ones a cuddle
00:44:08And watch a beautiful Viennese waltz from EastEnders star
00:44:12Nicholas Bailey and his partner Luba
00:44:15Fancy little snuggle, Craig?
00:44:17Come on
00:44:18I've always wanted to do this
00:44:21Snuggling
00:44:22Thank you
00:44:23Thank you
00:44:28My name's Nicholas Bailey
00:44:29I've been a professional actor for 35 years
00:44:31I'm best known for playing the part of Dr Anthony Truman in EastEnders
00:44:35I've really loved you
00:44:36I think being an actor will help me in my dance journey
00:44:41There's an extent to which you've got to be in the moment
00:44:43You've got to connect with an audience
00:44:45I love to dance
00:44:47Anytime there's a beat, I'm the first on the dance floor
00:44:49But in terms of formal dance training, there's no experience whatsoever
00:44:53When I step out there onto the Strictly dance floor, there will be pressure
00:44:58But I think you need that little edge
00:45:00Hopefully, that's when the magic happens
00:45:02And step and courtesy
00:45:06I've always wanted to do a Viennese waltz
00:45:08But when I turned up, I realised how technical it was
00:45:11It's very specific
00:45:14So it's tough trying to get your head around exact form and structure
00:45:18So, oh, that's lovely
00:45:21It feels great to do the lifts
00:45:24I'm just worried that I'm going to drop Luber
00:45:26I'll spin her off the stage
00:45:27But she's very, very kind, very, very patient
00:45:30Beautiful
00:45:32Gorgeous
00:45:33There you go, yeah
00:45:34It's amazing when you make a breakthrough
00:45:35And you just see the smile break out on Luber's face
00:45:38Well done
00:45:40When people say it's transformative, they're really all right
00:45:42It's pretty amazing
00:45:44And I'm really enjoying the experience
00:45:47Luber, thank you so much for teaching me how to dance
00:45:53And as a sign of my gratitude, I thought I'd bring you down to the amazing Albert Square for a spot of acting
00:45:59Yes! I love it!
00:46:01Yeah, let's go
00:46:02Luber, Luber, guess what?
00:46:04What happened?
00:46:05Someone broke into Ian's gaff overnight
00:46:08No way
00:46:09Yes, and stole all his mince pies
00:46:11How did they get in?
00:46:12They think perhaps they got in through the chimney
00:46:15Who can that be?
00:46:18Well, don't look at me
00:46:19I was in the Queen Vic all night
00:46:22At least there is some honest people still around
00:46:27It was lovely to take Luber on to Albert Square
00:46:30Get out of my pub!
00:46:32Listen, if I was an agent, I'd find Luber in a heartbeat
00:46:35Oh, hi guys
00:46:36I found your birth certificate, Santa
00:46:39Let me see that
00:46:40Santa, it says here
00:46:42Luber's your mother
00:46:44You're not my mother!
00:46:46Yes, I am!
00:46:52Nick, thank you so much, this has been wonderful
00:46:54It's been lovely having you
00:46:55Go after a bit of acting with Luber
00:46:57And now I'm ready to get back on the dance floor
00:46:59And just have a great time
00:47:05Dancing the Viennese voice
00:47:07Nicholas Bailey and his partner, Luber Rushto
00:47:10It's the most wonderful time of the year
00:47:28With the kids jingle-belling
00:47:31And everyone telling you be of good cheer
00:47:37It's the most wonderful time of the year
00:47:45It's the happiest season of all
00:47:54With those holiday greetings
00:47:56And gay happy meetings
00:47:58When friends come to call
00:48:02It's the happiest season of all
00:48:11There'll be much mistletoeing
00:48:14And hearts will be glowing
00:48:16When loved ones are near
00:48:19It's the most wonderful time
00:48:24Yes, the most wonderful time
00:48:28For the most wonderful time
00:48:35Of the year
00:48:47Yes! Well done!
00:48:50How about that!
00:48:55Nicholas!
00:48:56That was totally charming
00:48:59You warmed my heart
00:49:00Thank you
00:49:01You look like you're having the best time ever
00:49:02Oh, amazingly
00:49:04Yeah, I had a fantastic time
00:49:05But that's a little warm as well
00:49:07Is it? It's going quite fine
00:49:08It was brilliant
00:49:09A gift for us all, Shirley
00:49:11Thank you
00:49:12My heart's warm too after watching that
00:49:14Oh!
00:49:15I just thought it was beautiful
00:49:17That is a gift worth giving
00:49:19Over and over and over again
00:49:21Like a night out
00:49:22And the Ritz on Christmas Day
00:49:24Oh!
00:49:25You are debonair

00:53:54So sweet!
00:53:56Our final couple tonight is taking us out-out for a cha-cha in a club.
00:54:01Some of the judges are keen to head out too,
00:54:03but I wasn't sure if it might still be a little bit early.
00:54:07It's never too early
00:54:10to go clubbing with Shirley.
00:54:13Let's go!
00:54:15Whatever you say, head judge.
00:54:18It's Scarlet Moffat and our partner Vito.
00:54:27I'm here! I'm excited!
00:54:29I'm Scarlet Moffat,
00:54:31and I am most famous for being on the telly,
00:54:34probably for being a professional couch potato on Gogglebox.
00:54:38I feel like I've just been so lucky that I've got to do crazy shows.
00:54:42I feel like this one might be my favourite.
00:54:47I've always loved dance.
00:54:49So To Do Strictly has been on my Christmas list since I was 13,
00:54:53since the show started.
00:54:55I'm so excited to meet the judges, you know.
00:54:57I really, really want to impress Shirley,
00:55:00because she's like the Latin Queen,
00:55:01and I'm doing a cha-cha-cha.
00:55:03I just can't wait to strap my dance shoes on
00:55:06and just get on that floor.
00:55:10Run, run, step.
00:55:11Train with Vito.
00:55:12I've already worn that glitter ball,
00:55:14because I'm just having the best time ever.
00:55:16Vito literally threw me in the deep end,
00:55:22and by that I mean, like, actually threw me to the floor.
00:55:25Oh, my God!
00:55:27I've not been thrown about like that ever.
00:55:29So, you know, Merry Christmas.
00:55:31Pelican leg, big one.
00:55:33Shoo, shoo, stretch.
00:55:34So I have learned a new word, which is bogies.
00:55:37When Scarlet was spinning around,
00:55:39there was a bit of bogies come out.
00:55:41Oh, my God, I've got snot on my face!
00:55:43As a teacher, it makes me very proud.
00:55:45It means that you are spinning really quick, you know?
00:55:47So I say, like, good bogies.
00:55:50This is my dream, and it's come true.
00:55:51I just want to enjoy every single second of it.
00:55:57So, me and Vito are having some well-earned rest from training,
00:56:00and I really wanted Vito to meet my fiancé, Scott,
00:56:03and my little boy, Jude,
00:56:04and we're going to go on a magical Christmas light trail.
00:56:07Oh, wow, Jude!
00:56:08Look how many lines are over there.
00:56:10What colours can you see?
00:56:12Are you cuddling, Daddy?
00:56:13We've only just introduced the idea of Santa to him,
00:56:16so hopefully he gets excited when he meets him.
00:56:21I think so.
00:56:22Hello there!
00:56:24Do you want to give Santa a high-five?
00:56:26I'll give you a high-five.
00:56:27Thank you very much, you're very kind.
00:56:29Yes!
00:56:30What would you like for Christmas?
00:56:34He's off!
00:56:35I just don't think he was that keen on Santa!
00:56:38He's more interested in the lights, bless him!
00:56:41Jude, so cute!
00:56:43Sorry, he's not off!
00:56:46Two-year-olds do what two-year-olds are going to do.
00:56:48This has been so wholesome,
00:56:51experiencing the madness of Christmas,
00:56:54and I'm just so excited now
00:56:56that Jude gets to watch his mummy and Vito
00:56:59on Christmas Day.
00:57:00Dancing the Church of Scarlet Moffat
00:57:07and her partner Vito Coppola.
00:57:09Thank you very much.
00:57:39Thank you very much.
00:57:40Thank you very much.
00:58:09Thank you very much.
00:58:58You had a very busy Christmas shop,
00:59:01learning that.
00:59:02Goodness me.
00:59:03Well done.
00:59:05And a lovely thank you to Dave Arch,
00:59:07his band and our brilliant singers for tonight's dance show.
00:59:12Merry Christmas, guys.
00:59:14Love you all.
00:59:16Oh, and you love a cha-cha, Motsi.
00:59:19I love a cha-cha, but a good cha-cha, oh, my goodness.
00:59:23That was really, really, really great.
00:59:26Beautiful choreography again, but everything went so smoothly.
00:59:30The transition, your personality on the dance floor,
00:59:33the best Christmas gift ever.
00:59:35Oh, lovely.
00:59:39When it was like the icing on the cake, everything.
00:59:43I love details.
00:59:44You had attention to details.
00:59:46Like you said, the choreography was yummy.
00:59:48You did a fabulous job on that.
00:59:50You were connected to one another.
00:59:52I mean, you just look absolutely terrific.
00:59:55We like that. Well done.

01:00:07I mean, the ladies have said everything.
01:00:08It was a tremendous cha-cha-cha.
01:00:10I mean, it was excellent.
01:00:11I mean, the leg action was good.
01:00:12The feet with the thing, and the thing with the thing,
01:00:14and the point of the head.
01:00:16This thing that you do when you do your hand round your head,
01:00:18and you walk around going, yeah, yeah, yeah.
01:00:21Cha-cha-cha, cha-cha-cha.
01:00:23I have to be honest with you.
01:00:25That could be the best answer of the night.
01:00:27Oh, John.
01:00:28I can't.
01:00:31What do you think, Craig?
01:00:35Fab-
01:00:36Oh, my goodness.
01:00:37Couldn't have a better comment from the judges.
