Indigenous peoples in Bicol receive noche buena packs from anonymous donor

About 420 members of the Manide and Agta-Tabangnon tribes in Bicol receive Christmas packs, as well as, school supplies for the children, from anonymous donors. The gifts were delivered by the volunteers and police to the families in Paracale, Camarines Norte. Children from Tadgon Elementary School and the Katutubo Elementary School in Bakal received the school supplies. The Manide tribe is one of the oldest indigenous communities in the Bicol Region. It faces numerous challenges, including poverty and limited access to basic services like water, malnutrition and livelihood opportunities. Many tribe members live in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas, making outreach programs like this one invaluable.
