‘If He Plays Tough, It’ll Be the Last Time’: Trump Warns Maduro as He Cites ‘Massive Armada’

U.S. President Donald Trump issued a sharp warning to Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, saying it would be a “smart move” for Maduro to step aside as Washington increases pressure on Caracas.

Speaking to reporters, Trump said the United States has formed what he described as a “massive armada,” calling it the largest U.S. military presence ever assembled in South America. He warned that if Maduro “plays tough,” it would be the last time he is able to do so.

Trump also repeated claims that Venezuela had sent criminals and prisoners into the United States, blaming the previous administration’s border policies. His remarks come amid rising tensions between Washington and Caracas, including U.S. actions against Venezuelan oil shipments and drug trafficking networks.
