Russian tour operators said they had begun urgent efforts to pull their citizens out of Venezuela as tensions between Washington and Caracas escalated. The Association of Tour Operators of Russia, echoed by RT, reported that special flights were being organized from Isla Margarita. The operation followed Trump’s declaration closing Venezuelan airspace, a move denounced by Caracas as aggressive. Venezuelan officials accused the U.S. of intensifying military pressure, while Washington cited alleged ties between Maduro’s government and criminal groups. Caracas placed its forces on heightened alert, warning that any further escalation risked destabilizing the wider region.
