00:00Think you know America's snowiest city? Well, let's start with the big cities.
00:03Chicago tops this list with nearly 39 inches of snow a year.
00:07New York gets about 30, Philly 23, but Dallas just 1.6 inches, and Houston a tenth of an inch.
00:13So where does the real snow pile up?
00:16Tiny towns and mountain spots, partially because they have more weather stations to capture the data compared to lake effect snow locations, for example.
00:23So the top five list starts with Crater Lake, Oregon, leading with a staggering 463 inches, which is almost 39 feet.
00:31Alta, Utah is close behind at 458 inches.
00:34Soda Springs, California grabs third with 445.
00:37Then Colorado claims two spots, Crested Butte with 389 inches and Climax at nearly 295.
