00:00have a winning championship, Tom. The New York Knicks say, yeah, the NBA Cup was awesome. We
00:04respect it. So much fun. We played hard, and they did. We're just not raising a banner because that's
00:08not a real championship title, which I agree and also understand this, Tom. I don't like contrived
00:14things in sports. Why I hate ball games. It means nothing, absolutely nothing. The NBA Cup, if you
00:19didn't play it as if you wanted the NBA to be so serious, it would probably be accepted more like,
00:23yeah, we just won the Cup. That's great. We got a trophy. We got a half million bucks. We celebrate
00:26Vegas and move forward. The fact that they tried to put it on is that's an actual title and said,
00:31you know what? Be a good partner, Lakers, and hang this. Same thing with you, Milwaukee. The Knicks
00:35would have stunted that like, yeah, it's fun. We played hard, and we won it. We love it, but
00:39come on now. This is an NBA Cup in December. We won a championship. You won a championship. That's
00:44when you hang a banner, Tom. Yeah, to your point, allowing things to happen naturally and see where
00:51the players want to give effort and where the teams want to give effort, that's where the team and the
00:56league should be doubling down on, and allowing to happen naturally. Forcing teams to do this or do
01:02that and have to participate in this, that's where things are forced. That's where they don't want to
01:07spend too much effort. They don't want players to get hurt for something that's meaningless when it's
01:11all said and done. So as long as the natural competitiveness is there for the teams and the
01:16franchises, that's what the league should be leaning into, in my opinion. Don't force things on a team
01:21and say like, oh, you have to be participating in something.
