This week, LBF and Dave give the Bloody Mary the respect it deserves by kicking vodka out and letting tequila take over. 00:07yeah who pulls two tequilas from their Santa advent calendar somebody in my

00:11house this is an attractive outfit by the way I mean I'm like the Christmas I just look like okay

00:21I'm like the Christmas Tony Soprano this and I'm like the Christmas I don't even know what I look

00:25like I decided to do is make a so a blood not a Bloody Mary because Bloody Mary is a vodka but

00:33when you use tequila yeah it's a Bloody Maria and frankly it's better it's better with tequila

00:42right because vodka doesn't taste like anything vodka has no taste which is why people hide vodka

00:48in their bathrooms they didn't know they're drinking anyway sorry uh and you know what I'm

00:55gonna do you know what I'm gonna do LBF what I'm gonna use and I pulled out my my notebook of

01:02drinks these used to be the reporters notebooks that we used when we worked at the Herald together

01:06and now nothing because of that traumatic they serve a very different purpose they contain my

01:12drink recipes but this happens to be the Bloody Mary the original Bloody Mary recipe from Harry's

01:19New York bar in Paris which we tried to go to but it was closed from the 1920s yep they're credited with

01:27it's kind of a flex credit I know whatever I really don't remember I really don't remember

01:33it was a long time ago okay

01:37hey Paris uh

01:42so you build it right in the glass some people like to rock and roll and do those kinds of things you know

01:48who makes the best oh I don't care I'm gonna give a shout out to your friend oh Dave Leonard yeah

01:57I can't get over it I mean he should be here right now making this thing yeah because he'd be faster

02:04so um ice so we're gonna you build it right in the glass we're gonna fill it with ice and by the way

02:11because this guy was such a surprise from Santa I don't even know if I have all the ingredients but

02:16we're gonna you know to make a to make a proper all right we have no celery in the house

02:25yelling again okay this is like a good six dashes of Worcestershire

02:33this is a really good drink to have on hand during the holidays because sometimes people need a Bloody Mary in

02:39the morning not to say you know a hair of the dog thing but you know a hair of the dog thing also

02:45it's a really good drink to be able to make because a lot of people like it three dashes of Tabaski

02:49I do an extra because we like it hot okay what I have here I like these old-fashioned shakers uh salt and

03:03pepper and they have just the you know right yeah and what we do is you you do you do can we see yeah

03:14we can see you do salt we're gonna do some salt in there and then we're gonna do some pepper

03:21and let's do a little more salt it's the pelicone flare that's what I call it it's whatever he does

03:26you like we're gonna do half a lemon flare flare flare squeeze it how horrifying this dress is and then

03:34I'm putting it on I'm putting it on the internet it's the Santa surprise it's not horrifying it's

03:41it's very festive festive not fashionable I'm just looking at the polka dots and I feel like they're

03:47they used to be round and they're stretching so now they're oval I'm gonna squeeze uh half a

03:54a lemon don't hurt yourself right over the top okay um oh now okay I think you should put the whole

04:04thing in there I'm gonna do the whole thing yeah because that's what we're gonna take this little

04:09nip of uh ghost tequila yeah you get so drunk you're gonna coast your friends okay and now we're

04:19gonna top it off with some v8 uh by the way I don't know why in god's name I bought the low sodium v8

04:27but and traditionally tomato juice is used right but one time you bought hunt's ketchup which I

04:34wanted to divorce him for so you make weird decisions in grocery stores anyway don't get the low sodium

04:40yeah just put more salt in there sauce it's the key to the the key to everything it's the key to death

04:46high blood pressure okay we're gonna just top it off okay look at that did you put a horse radish

04:52in there no I don't think you need to but we have horseradish you can always do a little

04:57little dollop of horseradish in there and then um and then what you do is you get your nice bar spoon

05:04here I'll do it go ahead and you just kind of why you cut up the lens not like that

05:08you wanna you wanna try and get everything more of a swizzle I don't know I call it really aggressive

05:18not like that and so we're really we weren't prepared for the Santa surprise but I don't have

05:26celery I don't have the usual things but we're gonna you don't need it you just need whatever it's

05:29like it's like it's just who cares no celery is is basically a vegetable with strings of hair in it

05:35no one likes it unless you put peanut butter on it but it's a it's a it's a it's a it's a

05:41it's a bloody maria okay uh and we're gonna get are you sucking me down at me what's that like

05:52I have this really cool no look what I have are you looking for a thing

05:56yeah I have this cool one oh that's for Christmas

05:59oh I have it on the skull it's Christmas we're not doing skulls at Christmas I know fine we'll use

06:06the reindeer so mean I mean it's not perfect but whatever and we have uh we have a blue cheese

06:12stuffed olives so that's really good you want me to do this yeah we'll get some

06:21get some olives in there we'll do the reindeer because that's what LVF wants

06:28sorry well I'm gonna put on a corpse head for Christmas look at that look at that look at look at

06:36look at this look at this look at I'm happy tada you got a bloody mary wait I'll get you a straw

06:42and I'll be uh this is a marshall's by the way I actually think it might be Lucy's in my pockets
