00:03good now about that opening night where they felt bad about losing to arizona they have just not
00:08been challenged at all 10 and 0 on the season they beat abilene christian uh 96 to 62 and and look
00:18uconn gave them a little bit of a battle too but look they crushed auburn they crushed alabama
00:23and 10 and 0 on the year in conference play i'm guessing this will get a little bit tougher for
00:27them but are we headed toward arizona just running through the schedule in one of these one loss or
00:33two lost seasons it appears to be that they're on track for this well i love this team i'd have to
00:39take a more in-depth look at the schedule but at minimum they're going to have to play byu
00:44they're going to have to play houston they're going to have to play kansas uh and houston uh those are
00:50four teams that all have at least uh have varying degrees let's say of national championship
00:56possibilities they all have uh the ability to do it the maybe kansas a little bit less than houston
01:02etc but all have the ability to do it so it's going to be a challenge for arizona but they are special
01:09co-opete coming in has been uh an absolute force in in the front uh they've they've got a really nice
01:16roster uh bradley uh jayden bradley has been phenomenal at point guard i am i allowed to say out
01:23loud that i was one of the people that had him on my pre-season uh bob cousy ballot i don't know
01:28if the hall of fame will be happy with that but uh he was not on the pre-season watch list and i feel
01:33like i feel i need to be exonerated because i did have him on there good stuff mike uh all right so we
01:40go from undefeated to undefeated again who had this at the beginning of the season vanderbilt mike
01:4610 and 0 on the year seven and a half point favorites tonight at memphis total of 158 and a
01:53half the commodores have been rolling this season well how about the success for this team you know
02:00i was thinking about this and they are like the indiana hoosiers of basketball now that's that's a
02:06very strange statement to make because there already are indiana hoosiers quite obviously who play
02:11basketball but what mark byington is doing at vandy is a lot like what kurt signetti has done with iu
02:17football uh it coming in and maybe not uh immediately grabbing the players that would say wow watch out
02:25this team's going to be great uh but getting the right players and in his case duke miles a guy who
02:31played at troy and high point and is now leading the commodores in scoring uh been a significant force for
02:39them they've got a couple of guys uh who have been around for a while uh in the program and and
02:45remember you know a while means you're a sophomore now if you if you're a sophomore that means you've
02:50been you're a veteran in college basketball now so they've got they've got a a roster that is is
02:56together they play uh smart basketball uh you've got a terrific coach in buyington and they are a
03:02threat in the sec and sec that's been a little disappointing sec like auburn alabama really challenged
03:08themselves in non-conference kentucky and have not performed at a high level so vandy has to go in
03:13feeling like maybe they can do this i'd be interested in what the odds are on that
