00:00So let's start there with them.
00:01I mean, John Calipari's team, they got blown out a couple weeks back by Florida,
00:06but here they are, SEC Championship game against a Vanderbilt team
00:09that destroyed that Florida team.
00:11I mean, what do you like with these two teams here?
00:17And I will tell you one thing.
00:18I think a lot of people saw what you just said.
00:21Florida destroyed Vanderbilt, or Vanderbilt destroyed Florida yesterday, right?
00:24We all saw that happen.
00:25And then we saw Arkansas skate past an under 500 Ole Miss team
00:30and, you know, barely win by three points in that game.
00:33So I can understand why a lot of people are rushing to the window
00:36on Vanderbilt here for this game.
00:39But I had to pump the brakes.
00:40Look, we saw what Arkansas did to Vanderbilt earlier in the season.
00:43They, you know, they ran them out of the gym.
00:45It wasn't a very close game.
00:47And I think there's going to be more of that this game.
00:49There's just a better presence in the paint for Arkansas.
00:53Yesterday, Vanderbilt, they took Florida to the woodshed.
00:55But here's the deal.
00:56They got out-rebounded by like 15 rebounds.
00:58I don't have the numbers right in front of me.
01:00The reason they were able to do that to Florida
01:02is because they hit almost 50% of their threes.
01:05They're a team a lot like Wisconsin is another team.
01:07We saw them with Purdue.
01:08When they hit their threes, they can go out there and they can beat anybody.
01:12But I do not like betting and backing a team
01:14where I need them to hit those three-point shots consistently.
01:19I don't trust Vanderbilt today to continue to hit at a 50% rate.
01:23And if they don't hit at a 50% rate and they get out-rebounded,
01:26then I got the Razorbacks.
01:27I like the Hogs.
01:28So that's why I'm on the Hogs here.
01:29And that's a reason why Vanderbilt really won't be a team
01:31that I'm going to be looking to back going forward in this tournament as well.
01:35Cab, well, let me ask you this then.
01:37With the selection committee, how high can they go, one of these teams,
01:42Vanderbilt or Arkansas?
01:44I mean, could they sneak into a three-seed?
01:46Because right now, you probably would.
01:49You'd probably have Arkansas at a five right now potentially, right?
01:53But if they win the Southeastern Conference
01:54or maybe even Vanderbilt wins the Southeastern Conference,
01:58how high could they move up on the seedings?
02:02I was going to say four.
02:03You know, three-seed sounds nice.
02:05And, guys, I've got futures on Arkansas.
02:07So if Arkansas could somehow slide into a three-seed, trust me,
02:10there's not going to be anybody out there happier than me.
02:13But let's be honest, the SEC is having a very down year.
02:18And even their top teams, whether we're talking about Alabama,
02:21Arkansas, Vanderbilt, I just don't think any of them deserve higher
02:26than that seed there.
02:27I don't think we see a three-seed out of Arkansas.
02:30I would say four or five-seed if they win this game,
02:32which I'm going to go with they are, guys,
02:33because I need them to win it for my bet.
02:35So Arkansas takes care of Vandy,
02:37and I think they still stay about where they're at, five or four.
02:41You think the committee will think at all about Florida being a one,
02:45or is it most likely going to be a two?
02:48They were destroyed by that Vanderbilt team that you just mentioned.
02:52You know, and UConn got destroyed by St. John's.
02:55So that final top seed, could it come down to UConn or Florida,
03:00or could it come down to somebody else that could sneak in there
03:03on that final top seed?
03:06Man, that's such a good question there for that final top seed.
03:12What about if Purdue beats Michigan, right?
03:15So that's where – so what about if Purdue beats Michigan?
03:18If Purdue beats Michigan, that really throws a wrench into everything
03:23for that final top seed.
03:27I think Florida could get it,
03:29but they really hurt themselves early in that season.
03:31Early in the season, they weren't playing at the level
03:34that they've been playing with because they lost a lot of their people,
03:37like Walter Clayton Jr. went to the NBA.
03:39A lot of their players, you know, went to the NBA.
03:41And there was a meshing period at the beginning of this year for Florida
03:44where they were not winning basketball games.
03:48And I think that might come back to haunt them.
03:50I know it's been a long time since they've turned that corner,
03:52but I think that could come back to haunt them.
03:55However, Florida is deserving of a one seed, in my opinion,
03:57even after losing yesterday.
03:58Even after losing yesterday.
