00:21breaking story that involves over 50 wealthy parents paying thousands,
00:25some millions of dollars to bribe SAT proctors, college coaches, and more to help their kids get
00:32into schools across the country like USC, Yale, Stanford, and Georgetown. So let's do a quick
00:38recap. Yesterday, news broke that the FBI had prosecuted over 50 people in what is being
00:43called the largest college admissions scam, otherwise known as Operation Varsity Blues.
00:48Those arrested include two SAT-ACT administrators, one exam proctor, nine coaches at elite schools,
00:56one college administrator, and 33 parents, according to Andrew Lelling, the U.S. attorney
01:02from Massachusetts. The parents reportedly paid up to $6.5 million to get their kids into college,
01:08some allegedly convincing college coaches to put their children on their teams even though
01:13they didn't play a sport. Some went as far as photoshopping their kids onto athletes to make
01:18it look like they played a sport. Other parents paid to have their kids' SAT scores corrected or
01:23changed. Felicity Huffman, who was ironically in Desperate Housewives, and Lori Loughlin,
01:28who plays Aunt Becky in Full House and Fuller House, were two of the parents involved in the scam.
01:34Now onto Olivia Jade, the YouTuber who's also mixed in this mess because her mom is Lori Loughlin,
01:40and her face was photoshopped on a rower. Yep, that was that. Some of you may recall the backlash
01:45she received months ago when she released a video claiming she didn't actually care about school
01:50and was focused on the finer things in life like game days and partying. Well, she got slammed for
01:55that back then and released an apology video. However, the controversy is now doubling down
02:00because, well, it's just that much more evident that she doesn't care about school.
02:05I get the F-school mentality. We all, well, apparently just most of us, go through tons of
02:10anxiety for a piece of paper that ends up putting ourselves in debt and controlling half of our
02:15future. But knowing that just makes Olivia's video 10 times worse now because clearly the struggle
02:21for her wasn't much and she didn't really seem to totally appreciate it. And now her mom could go
02:26to jail for doing something her daughter doesn't care about at all. And of course, her comment section
02:30is being lit up like no tomorrow. Not bashing Olivia. This whole situation is just messed up. But she
02:37could potentially be brought down with her mother. So we'll have to see what happens with her from
