00:19city officials are ordering that Jussie pays $130,000 for the investigation.
00:25Their reasoning is that resources were wasted in the investigation and also because they think he's still guilty as well.
00:32Now TMZ is reporting that Jussie Smollett's team is responding to the city basically saying F you, you owe us the apology.
00:39So now a civil case may go down to get the money back and the city could potentially get three times the actual amount owed as a penalty.
00:46This is where it gets interesting.
00:48Apparently, if Jussie fights this in court, a judge will need to decide if the attack was fake before deciding if Jussie needs to pay.
00:55Since this wouldn't be a criminal case, the judge would only need just enough evidence to prove that it was Jussie who faked the attack.
01:02If this happens, the people running Empire can fire him despite the state attorney dismissing his criminal case.
