00:00he trusted everybody apparently they'd had a good conversation through snapchat
00:10just pure evil she was an evil person Carson's truck was not home so I called him and it just
00:25went to boy snail at that point it still was not a murder investigation they were investigating
00:31it as a missing person when it comes to missing persons case families are left in this limbo
00:37they can't move forward and they can't move back the probability is where that truck is
00:44Carson will be the clock's ticking
00:47one of the truck drivers he said hey man I found a dead body over here
00:55at this moment in time there's one person in that vehicle Carson nowhere to be seen
01:01she was one of the most cool commonly collected murders I've ever been across and I've been
01:06around a bunch of them how do you treat a human being like that
01:25our children are long to us from God but I thought I'd have a little longer with my son
01:47the first day that we faced the person that killed my son in the courtroom I had a message to her
02:01and um the message is that I'm still standing my husband and I are still standing
02:09okay all right he had friends around him all the time he had no cares get a cowboy hat put his belt
02:26on with his pistols he was just just on the go all the time on the go all the time
02:32oh god Carson's sister known to his mom as her little man grew up in the rural countryside of
02:40central Mississippi during the summer just grew up around fishing and hunting he loved to hunt with
02:50his father hated school but his daddy said you got to you got to go to school got to go to school
02:55after school Carson learned to trade and by the age of 24 Darlene's little man had become a six foot
03:12four inch welder and then one weekend in 2022 he went missing so that Sunday Carson was probably
03:23working to have some extra money and so when he got home he took a shower and just dressed and
03:30and his dad was sitting at the table and uh his dad said are you where are you going and uh he said
03:36aren't you tired and he said no I'm going out I'm going to meet somebody
03:40I know that he had social media because he had met one or two girls through snapchat and he would
03:51always tell us you know hey I'm going to Brookhaven or I'm going here you know I'm meeting this girl
03:56you know but he would never stay overnight he was always home
04:01that night we met this girl through the snapchat and I said well show me a picture of her and I said
04:12oh okay and I didn't you know I didn't think anything else about it
04:16Carson was on his way to meet up with a 20-year-old ranch hand called Sierra Inscott
04:23the image he'd seen of her across her socials was of a fun-loving local girl who had big plans for
04:30the future
04:30apparently they'd had a good conversation um you know through snapchat I don't think he had any reason
04:42to feel like he needed to had to doubt her his dad said I love you and that was it and Carson said I
04:50love you and and that was it we just said always be careful you know be careful
04:54Darlene had been away at a family wedding but when she got back the day after Carson's snapchat date
05:03she knew something wasn't right that was Sunday I didn't get back home until Monday night I think
05:11Carson's truck was not home so I text him around 7 30 I guess or 8 and I didn't get any response
05:26so I called him and it just went to voicemail
05:33but Carson still wasn't home when Darlene woke up on Tuesday morning
05:43and so I called his friend Jacob I said do you mind telling Carson to call me when you get to work
05:52and he said yeah I will
05:55when Jacob got there he called me back and he said
06:01Mr. Darlene he said um Carson's not here and he said he's usually here to open the gate
06:07and he wasn't here
06:09I went over to Brandon uh to the sheriff's department
06:14and um I told him what was going on
06:19we put pictures out of him on Facebook and and all of that
06:30and so the comments were you know we're so sorry
06:36um um just you know praying for y'all
06:41just a lot of support just a lot of um thinking about y'all
06:45um talking about Carson
06:4848 hours after meeting up with a girl he'd met on Snapchat
06:52Carson's cis trunk was now officially a missing person
06:57every investigator knows that when you're investigating a missing person the clock's ticking
07:06so things move very rapidly in trying to find that person hopefully alive
07:13we were just sitting waiting
07:18and one of Carson's bosses
07:21they came to the house
07:23and um sat with us
07:25and they said we couldn't work
07:28knowing about Carson
07:30and so they just shut the company down
07:33it was very
07:35nice of them to do
07:37and um
07:38but that shows you what kind of person Carson was
07:41when it comes to missing persons case the challenges are quite unique
07:49families are left with not knowing
07:52they're in this limbo
07:53they can't move forward and they can't move back
07:56the search area includes hundreds of square miles of forests and oil fields
08:04making the task of finding one man in a truck
08:07a major challenge for the police
08:10the system for investigations by police are largely universal in different countries
08:16if a person's gone missing in a vehicle then it gives you a lot more opportunities
08:20to try and identify where this person might have been
08:22we know what his truck looked like
08:25the probability is
08:28where that truck is
08:29Carson will be
08:30Carson's vehicle was pretty distinctive
08:37it had a very dark colored hood
08:40while the rest of the vehicle was silver
08:42so it kind of stood out
08:44as well as the call out for CCTV evidence
08:51police are also looking into whether they can track down Carson's movements
08:55using his bank transactions
08:57they were able to determine that the last use of his credit card was in New Hebron, Mississippi
09:04digital forensics got a hit at a quick stop more than 50 miles from his home
09:11the New Hebron quick stop is a gas station
09:17so they have surveillance cameras surrounding the building
09:21a couple of them cover the gas pump area
09:25two hours after Carson had left to go on a date
09:33police had proof he was alive and well
09:36back home
09:41his mom's Facebook campaign is filling her with hope he might be found
09:45people were already on social media
09:51said that they had seen his truck
09:53you know we've seen that truck
10:01it was we saw it here we saw it there
10:03and then the investigators car radio came on
10:14and it was the sheriff
10:16and he said come now
10:18he said I've got the truck
10:20and I've got a girl in it driving
10:25a lady was found occupying the vehicle when they located that vehicle
10:33and so she immediately became a person of interest
10:37the woman is unknown to the police
10:40but she was known to Carson Sistrunk
10:43it was Sierra Insco his snapchat date
10:47the missing persons case has just got more serious
10:51it was September 6 of 22 when I got a phone call late that evening from an investigator with Rankin County Sheriff's Office in Mississippi that they had found the truck and they had the girl that was in the truck
11:03she was sitting on the tailgate and had the keys in her pocket
11:10she said she got the truck from somebody else and she didn't know a guy named Carson Sistrunk
11:17she had no knowledge of him and all this but we knew that was a story
11:21her version of events were essentially that she was working for an individual
11:26and that she had acquired this vehicle from him
11:30she was unable to give us any information about him
11:33she was unable to give us a real name
11:36she called him all C-Money
11:39I checked with every resource I have
11:42I called the FBI
11:44had them run the name
11:45Drug Enforcement Administration, DEA
11:48I had those guys run it
11:49nobody had a name in their database belonging to that anything similar to that
11:55none of them had ever heard of this person
11:57Sierra Insco is detained on suspicion of vehicle theft
12:09but if she isn't helping with the search for Carson
12:13Special Agent Riley does now have a vital piece of evidence
12:17our crime scene unit
12:20from South Mississippi
12:21they came up
12:22processed the truck
12:24when they got up there
12:25what appeared to be blood
12:27all in the back of the truck
12:28so they had a feeling that something bad happened
12:31in the back of the bed of that truck
12:33they collected all kind of evidence
12:36clothing in the truck
12:37they found some gun parts
12:39they had DNA
12:41they had blood
12:42at that point it still was not a murder investigation
12:45they were investigating it as a missing person
12:48the longer the search continues
12:56the less hope there is of finding Carson alive
12:59with such a wide area to cover
13:02police call up any contacts they have across the county to help
13:05I said notify everybody that's going to be working for you
13:09and even the truck drivers
13:12to just be looking and you know have their windows down
13:15and if they smell something this guy could possibly be dead
13:18I don't you know I don't know where he's at or what he's doing or if he's alive or not
13:20well the guy called him right back and he said hey man I found a dead body over here
13:27three days after 24 year old Carson Sistrunk from Mississippi
13:52went out on a date with a woman he met on Snapchat
13:55a body has been found in a remote oil field
14:04he said they found a body dumped in the edge of a wood line
14:10which was where you would say the oil field ended
14:14and the woods would begin
14:16there was a set of tire tracks that were leading up to
14:21where that body was which would indicate
14:23his body was dumped from a vehicle
14:27they just backed up and dumped the body
14:29Carson's Snapchat date Sierra Insko was found driving his truck
14:38and has been held in custody overnight
14:40she is denying that she knows Carson
14:43or knows what's happened to him
14:45I knew she was lying and I you know I told her I said I know you're lying to me ma'am
14:51and I said you know I'm just asking you for the truth here
14:54first we had to get an autopsy done
14:58to determine the identity of the body
15:00due to decomposition when we found him
15:02been a couple days and it was hot
15:03also we had to figure out the manner of death
15:07from the autopsy we didn't know how this person died
15:10the preliminary results from the autopsy have been filed
15:23the body is Carson's
15:26it was after lunch
15:29when they told us the sheriff came out
15:31of course our pastor was there
15:34and our family and friends
15:35and they said they had found him
15:38they did you know tell us that he had been shot
15:44in the chest
15:46and then one in the head
15:48and
15:49my husband's a deer hunter
15:53so he knows exactly what happened
15:56how does somebody take
16:02a life
16:04how do you
16:06how do you
16:07treat
16:09a human being like that
16:11much like
16:11much less
16:12an animal
16:13Carson's snapchat date Sierra Insko
16:27has been held overnight
16:28and is the main suspect
16:29there isn't any evidence
16:31to tie hair to Carson's murder
16:33but blood has been found
16:35in the back of the truck
16:36DNA analysis
16:40it is not like
16:42Hollywood
16:43depicts
16:45we don't send it downstairs
16:46into a lab
16:47and they call us an hour later
16:49and say
16:49hey
16:49here's your results
16:51we have one
16:53lab in our state
16:55that does that
16:56Sierra's explanation
17:00for having blood
17:01in the back of the truck
17:03was that she had hit an animal
17:05but she didn't explain that any further
17:07because how would the blood
17:09end up in the back of the vehicle
17:10if she had hit the animal
17:13at the front or the side
17:14there would have been damage
17:15and she couldn't explain that
17:17there was no reasonable explanation there
17:19if the blood splatters
17:23at Carson's
17:24it could be the smoking gun needed
17:26to charge Sierra Insko
17:28with his murder
17:29until then
17:31the bureau needs to look
17:32for other ways
17:33to tie her to the crime
17:34let's backtrack
17:37Carson's last known movements
17:38where he went
17:39who he was with
17:40things of that nature
17:42leading all the way up
17:44to his ultimate death
17:46telematics is
17:50fairly new
17:52in the scheme
17:52of digital forensics
17:53it's the process
17:55of obtaining data
17:56from a car hard drive
17:58and that can record
18:00everything from
18:01you know
18:02in the best case scenario
18:03when the doors opened
18:04when the seatbelt
18:05was plugged in
18:06when the lights were on
18:07what speed it was going
18:08its location
18:09just like cell phones
18:14we're able to
18:15do a dump
18:16of the car's computer
18:17you don't have
18:19real-time tracking
18:19so it's not like
18:20you can go in
18:21and say
18:22I want to know
18:23where this vehicle was
18:24at this date
18:25on this particular time
18:26down to the second
18:27and it's going to
18:28show you a dot
18:28where it was
18:29it pings in intervals
18:31it's like every 15 minutes
18:33or every 30 minutes
18:34it's going to give you
18:35the location
18:36so for example
18:43if you had GPS evidence
18:45from a car
18:46to show them
18:46travelling down
18:47a specific highway
18:48you would then
18:50look at the CCTV
18:51on that particular road
18:53to see what happened
18:55when it stopped
18:56armed with the telematics
19:07the Bureau has identified
19:08three different CCTV cameras
19:11that have picked up
19:11Carson's truck
19:12the day after
19:14he disappeared
19:15we found video
19:19in Prentice
19:19where she had used
19:21the truck
19:21and went to a
19:22fast food restaurant
19:23called Ward's
19:24restaurant
19:25pulled through
19:26the drive-thru
19:27you could plainly
19:27see her driving
19:28his truck
19:29also a place
19:31called Hibbit Sports
19:32in McGee Mississippi
19:33she went up there
19:34and bought some clothes
19:35and some shoes maybe
19:36and we had her
19:38own video camera there
19:39at this moment in time
19:43there's one person
19:44in that vehicle
19:45and it's Sierra
19:46Carson nowhere to be seen
19:48she very much
19:51was in possession
19:52of that vehicle
19:52and appeared to be
19:54just running
19:55day-to-day errands
19:56which is quite
19:57carefree
19:58for considering
19:59what we thought
20:00she had done
20:00to acquire that vehicle
20:01the only footage
20:04they have
20:04with Carson in it
20:05was from the gas station
20:06on the night
20:07he disappeared
20:08but now this is
20:09a murder investigation
20:10the bureau need
20:12to take another look
20:13you see his vehicle
20:14come into the frame
20:16he pulls up
20:17to a gas pump
20:18and then you see him
20:19exit that gas pump
20:21he goes inside
20:23to pay
20:24and you can make out
20:26what appears to be
20:28a white female
20:28sitting in the
20:29passenger seat
20:30now she never gets
20:31out of the vehicle
20:32and so you can't
20:34just directly identify
20:36her from the video
20:37but investigators
20:38noticed that
20:39there was another
20:40individual
20:41an African-American male
20:43that came
20:44to the passenger
20:45side of the vehicle
20:46and appeared
20:47to speak with her
20:48we identified
20:53the person
20:53that walked up there
20:54and talked
20:55so we went
20:55and found him
20:56he gave us
20:57a full statement
20:58and he said
20:58it was Sierra
20:59Inscote
21:00it was in the
21:00truck with Carson
21:01that would be
21:08a major piece
21:08of evidence
21:09especially as
21:10when they first
21:11spoke to Sierra
21:12she denied
21:13even knowing
21:14Carson
21:14and clearly
21:16there's a lot
21:16there that
21:17doesn't add up
21:18there's a lot
21:18of lying there
21:19there's a lot
21:19of misinformation
21:20but that's
21:21in many ways
21:22very very positive
21:23for the police
21:24police have Sierra
21:27on record
21:28saying she didn't
21:29know Carson
21:30now they can
21:32disprove that
21:32statement
21:33they need to
21:33find out
21:34how they did
21:35know each other
21:35he trusted
21:37everybody
21:38you know
21:38you trust
21:39and apparently
21:40they'd had
21:41a good conversation
21:42you know
21:44through Snapchat
21:45and he didn't
21:46he didn't
21:46doubt
21:47doubt that she
21:50was somebody
21:51that you know
21:52that he
21:53couldn't trust
21:54Seeing as it
22:00was social media
22:01that seemed
22:02to have brought
22:02them together
22:03that has now
22:04become the focus
22:05of the investigation
22:06Every message
22:08leaves a footprint
22:09there's no such
22:09thing that messages
22:10disappear forever
22:11you know
22:12the police can
22:12always find
22:13those messages
22:14that have ways
22:16of breaking
22:17passwords
22:18they'll have ways
22:19of identifying
22:19footprints that
22:21have been left
22:21by people
22:22who've been
22:23used on the
22:23internet
22:24When a crime
22:25occurs and we
22:26believe that
22:27social media
22:28was involved
22:29the first thing
22:31that law
22:31enforcement's
22:31going to do
22:32is they're
22:32going to send
22:33what's known
22:33as a preservation
22:34letter to the
22:36company or the
22:37parent company
22:37of whatever
22:38social media
22:38app it may be
22:40The companies
22:41like Snapchat
22:41Twitter
22:43Instagram
22:44Facebook
22:45social media
22:47records
22:48it's gotten
22:49a little easier
22:49nowadays
22:50there's so many
22:51police are using
22:52it as an
22:52investigative tool
22:53We obviously
22:56sent our search
22:58warrant
22:58for Snapchat's
23:00records
23:01of both
23:02Carson Sistrunk's
23:04and Sierra
23:04Insco's
23:05and obviously
23:07the investigation
23:09was focused
23:10on communications
23:11between those two
23:12They've discovered
23:20that Sierra
23:20Insco was a
23:21prolific user
23:22of social media
23:23Hours of posts
23:31and messages
23:32but not a single
23:34video that
23:35included Carson
23:36We only found
23:40there was
23:40very few messages
23:42between the two
23:43but it became
23:44apparent that
23:44they did at least
23:45contact each other
23:46through social media
23:47The actual message
23:51exchange doesn't
23:52help the investigation
23:53however
23:54the date
23:55is the first
23:56proof they have
23:57that Sierra
23:57Insco has been
23:58lying about
23:59not knowing
23:59Carson
24:00But it's still
24:07not enough
24:07to charge her
24:08with his murder
24:08The police
24:14will often
24:14be dealing
24:15with timescales
24:15and they know
24:16that there's
24:17a legal system
24:19there's legal
24:19procedures
24:20which are there
24:21quite rightly
24:21to protect people
24:22and they will
24:23have a time
24:24limited amount
24:25to try and
24:26get their
24:27case settled
24:28so there'll
24:29be pressure on
24:29them to actually
24:30make sure
24:30that they've got
24:31all the evidence
24:31that they need
24:32and do it
24:33in a timely way
24:34The DNA results
24:37on the blood
24:38are still not back
24:39and Special Agent
24:40Riley can't keep
24:42Sierra Insco
24:42behind bars
24:43indefinitely
24:44I knew she was
24:48lying
24:48we knew that
24:49was a story
24:50but I couldn't
24:52hold her in jail
24:52you know
24:53just because I
24:54suspected her
24:54I had to have
24:55evidence
24:55to convince a judge
24:56to sign a murder
24:58warrant on her
24:59I felt bad
25:00about it
25:01and I know
25:01it upset
25:02a lot of people
25:03even the police
25:04that were
25:04assisting with it
25:05in the beginning
25:06I know it upset
25:07the family
25:08but legally
25:10I had to release
25:11her
25:1124 year old
25:31Carson Sistrunk
25:32has been shot
25:32and his body
25:33dumped in an oil field
25:35his truck
25:38with dried blood
25:40in the back
25:40was then driven
25:41around shopping malls
25:42by his Snapchat date
25:44Sierra Insco
25:45Sierra then drove
25:47to a friend's house
25:48where she told a friend
25:49that she'd hit an animal
25:51and she needed to clean
25:52the blood out
25:52from the truck
25:53shows how callous
25:55and cold
25:55Sierra was
25:57I questioned her
25:58she gave me a story
25:59I didn't believe
26:00she was not truthful
26:02but I couldn't hold her
26:03in jail
26:04you know
26:04just because I suspected
26:06her I had to have evidence
26:07to convince the judge
26:08to you know
26:08sign a murder warrant
26:10on her
26:10while Special Agent Riley
26:13waits for confirmation
26:14that the blood
26:15is Carson's
26:16back home
26:17his friends and family
26:19are in uproar
26:20our house
26:23was a swinging door
26:24everybody was like
26:26they would have
26:28taken care of her
26:29the next day
26:30when they found out
26:31that she'd been released
26:32they were just
26:33they were just
26:34mad
26:35livid
26:35you know
26:36it is quite stressful
26:43for police officers
26:44to release individuals
26:45if they suspect
26:47that a criminal
26:48offence has happened
26:49because if you release
26:50that person
26:51and they're out
26:51in the community
26:52they could either
26:53go missing
26:53and completely hide
26:54and leave the country
26:55or they could hurt
26:57or harm somebody else
26:58so that responsibility
27:00lies with that police officer
27:02away from the investigation
27:07into the physical evidence
27:08digital forensics
27:12are building a picture
27:13of Sierra Insko's
27:14online activity
27:15Sierra didn't just
27:17have one profile
27:19online
27:19but she had several
27:21profile online
27:21and this gives us
27:23an insight
27:23into what we're seeing
27:24may not be actually
27:25what's happening
27:26on each one
27:27she's slightly changed
27:28either her name
27:29or her profile
27:30and in one of them
27:32she's quite sexualized
27:33on there
27:34so they would be
27:35looking at
27:35why has she got
27:36more than one
27:38Facebook profile
27:39what is she trying to do
27:40and why are they all
27:40so different
27:41different
27:41it's like putting a jigsaw puzzle together
27:50the snapchat
27:51count is one piece
27:53the only fans is another piece
27:54if you can link multiple accounts
27:56that are all involved
27:58in the criminal activity
27:59to one person
28:01your case is ultimately
28:03going to be stronger
28:04the online world
28:06gives us the opportunity
28:07to really choose
28:09how we present ourselves
28:10now this has been weaponized
28:12unfortunately
28:12by people who can create
28:14a persona
28:15that can prey
28:16on people's vulnerability
28:17they can prey
28:18on people's loneliness
28:19need for connection
28:20or even just wishes
28:22for companionship
28:23it seems Carson
28:27wasn't the first victim
28:28Sierra Insko
28:29had targeted online
28:30the investigation
28:32is uncovering a pattern
28:33that could help lead
28:34to her rearrest
28:36the police officers
28:40found that Sierra Insko
28:42had actually had
28:43a previous relationship
28:44with a man
28:45where she had
28:46pretended to be a nurse
28:48she had pretended
28:49to have cancer herself
28:51he'd been giving her money
28:55regularly
28:55so that she could buy
28:57the Christmas presents
28:58for his daughter
28:59his family
29:00and their acquaintances
29:02and a few days
29:03before Christmas
29:04she even came up
29:05with a lie
29:05that all of the presents
29:07were stuck in a container
29:08somewhere
29:08but this was all a lie
29:10to cover up the fact
29:12that she had stolen
29:13his money
29:14so we had
29:20one other gentleman
29:21that came up
29:23that he had allowed
29:25Miss Insko
29:26to stay with him
29:27and she ran off
29:31with his truck
29:32she had never hurt them
29:40in the past
29:41but the MO
29:44fit this to a T
29:45and what happened
29:46with the exception
29:48obviously this was
29:49the first time
29:49that she had killed
29:50somebody
29:51at least that we knew of
29:52Sierra had a
29:59modus operandi
30:00of identifying
30:02vulnerable men
30:03getting into a relationship
30:05and then stealing property
30:06from her
30:07people try to put forward
30:09the image
30:09that they want people
30:10to have of them
30:11on social media
30:12versus oftentimes
30:13the reality
30:14she may have
30:17said she was
30:18this ranch hand
30:19and worked on a farm
30:21and did all of this
30:22but yet
30:22you know
30:23she's actually
30:24in fact running around
30:25and she was robbing people
30:27under the guise
30:28of a romantic meeting
30:30the more they learn
30:35about Sierra Insko
30:36the more guilty
30:37she looks
30:38it seems
30:39there was a premeditated
30:40motive
30:40for arranging a date
30:42with Carson
30:42I found out
30:46that she had
30:48been telling people
30:49for a couple of months
30:50that she was going
30:50to get a new vehicle
30:51before her birthday
30:52she repeatedly said
31:02I'm going to get
31:02a new truck
31:03for my birthday
31:03coming up
31:04she had
31:07zero care
31:09concern
31:09for Carson Systrom
31:10she just wanted
31:11his truck
31:11the investigation
31:16now has a track record
31:17of similar behavior
31:18and a possible motive
31:20but so far
31:22only a theory
31:23about how Sierra Insko
31:24may have committed
31:25the murder
31:26we believe
31:30that she got a gun
31:31out of the truck
31:32walked around
31:33and shot him
31:34a couple of times
31:34we believe
31:39he fell over
31:40in the truck
31:40and you know
31:41bled out
31:42in the truck
31:42and I believe
31:43that she backed up
31:45to the edge
31:46of the
31:46gravel lot
31:49where the
31:50gas well is
31:51and when she
31:52took off
31:53real fast
31:53because there
31:54were track marks
31:55where she had spun
31:56the back tires
31:57leaving there
31:58that his body
32:00actually just fell
32:00out of the truck
32:01Sierra was presenting
32:02very carefree
32:03after the murder
32:04of Carson
32:05and this tells us
32:06a lot about
32:07her personality
32:08a person
32:09a person that can
32:09behave in this way
32:10has no regard
32:11for human life
32:12they see people
32:14as objects
32:14to use
32:15and dispose of
32:16there's also
32:17no sense of
32:18moral accountability
32:19or responsibility
32:21or even remorse
32:23about what they've done
32:24on September 10th
32:30the investigation
32:30finally caught
32:31the break
32:32they needed
32:32DNA analysis
32:35proves the blood
32:36was Carson's
32:37and the crime scene
32:38investigators
32:39have worked out
32:39how the murder
32:40took place
32:41medical examiner's
32:43report found
32:44that he was shot
32:46three times
32:47and that all
32:48three of those bullets
32:49traveled with a trajectory
32:50of front to back
32:52meaning they entered
32:53the chest
32:54and were moving
32:55towards the back
32:55of Mr. Sistron
32:57if he was just
33:02dumped into the
33:03back of the vehicle
33:04to transport him
33:05we wouldn't have
33:06found that blood
33:07spattered across
33:08the back
33:09crime scene
33:11investigators
33:11you know
33:12informed me
33:13that that appeared
33:13to be spattered blood
33:15which would come
33:16from the gunshots
33:17when they were
33:19exiting the body
33:19the report
33:23proves Carson
33:24was shot
33:24in the back
33:25of the truck
33:25and as she'd
33:27been found
33:27driving it around
33:28Sierra Insko
33:30could now be
33:30implicated
33:31with the murder
33:32but the key piece
33:34of evidence
33:34had nothing to do
33:35with how she killed him
33:36it was a piece
33:37of her clothing
33:38found on the back seat
33:40so it was a t-shirt
33:44that had
33:45what appeared
33:46to be blood
33:47on them
33:47as well
33:48the blood
33:48was confirmed
33:49to be Carson's
33:50they were able
33:52to extract
33:53a DNA sample
33:54from the
33:55neck area
33:56and the
33:57underarm area
33:58where sweat's
34:00commonly found
34:01and
34:02that DNA profile
34:03was confirmed
34:04to be
34:05Ms. Insko's
34:05on the 11th
34:09of September
34:09a judge
34:10signs a warrant
34:11for the re-arrest
34:12of Sierra Insko
34:13after a week
34:16of torment
34:17Carson's family
34:18were finally
34:19about to get
34:19some justice
34:20for their lost
34:21loved one
34:22okay
34:23pirate
34:24oh he's a cowboy
34:27okay
34:28alright
34:29and you're the
34:30you're the
34:30pirate
34:31what she did
34:35was
34:36she just
34:37threw him
34:37out
34:38like a bag
34:39of trash
34:40and he was
34:41out in the
34:42elements
34:42out in the
34:43weather
34:43from Sunday
34:44night
34:44until Thursday
34:46that's
34:54and she
34:55still denied
34:56you know
34:57knowing him
34:57not having
34:59anything to do
34:59with him
35:00and he didn't
35:02deserve that
35:03he didn't
35:04deserve that
35:05he would have
35:06given her
35:06the truck
35:07if she'd
35:07wanted it
35:08or he'd
35:08bought her
35:09one
35:09but now
35:14the murder
35:14investigation
35:15has a new
35:15problem
35:16the prime
35:17suspect
35:18has gone
35:19missing
35:3020-year-old
35:4120-year-old
35:41Sierra Insko
35:42is wanted
35:43on suspicion
35:44of the murder
35:44of her
35:45snapchat date
35:46Carson
35:46Sistrunk
35:47but the farmhand
35:52with a history
35:53of swindling men
35:53out of money
35:54and trucks
35:55has gone
35:55missing
35:56she decided
35:59she was just
36:00going to try
36:00to run
36:01you know
36:02with the bad
36:03and survive
36:04you know
36:05the best way
36:06that she knew
36:07and that was
36:07to steal trucks
36:09and not take
36:11any consideration
36:12of anybody's
36:14feelings
36:14Carson was given
36:17he was very
36:18loving
36:18he took you
36:21for what you
36:21were
36:22and she
36:24didn't
36:24appreciate
36:24that
36:25to try
36:36and get
36:36Darlene
36:37and her
36:37family
36:38the justice
36:38they deserve
36:39special agent
36:41Riley
36:41enlists
36:41the help
36:42of the entire
36:43Rankin County
36:43police force
36:44to find
36:45Carson's
36:45murderer
36:46I mean
36:47we had a
36:48large police
36:48presence
36:49in the area
36:50I talked
36:51to numerous
36:51people
36:51I probably
36:53interviewed
36:54over 30
36:54people
36:55at a minimum
36:55it really
36:59helped a lot
37:00because I
37:01had lived
37:01there so
37:01long
37:02and knew
37:03a bunch
37:03of these
37:03people
37:03that she
37:04associated
37:04with
37:05but no
37:09one is
37:09admitting
37:10to knowing
37:10where Sierra
37:11Insco
37:11is
37:12and her
37:12mum
37:13is refusing
37:13to speak
37:14to special
37:14agent
37:15Riley
37:15and his
37:15team
37:16people
37:20know
37:21one another
37:21you know
37:22it's not like
37:23New York City
37:24where you
37:25can go
37:25one block
37:26over
37:26and perhaps
37:26not know
37:27a single
37:27person
37:28that lives
37:28there
37:29this is
37:30an area
37:30where people
37:31know each
37:32other
37:32and everybody
37:34knows
37:34who's
37:35law enforcement
37:35when they
37:41went to
37:42question
37:42her mother
37:43I don't
37:43know why
37:44but she
37:45knew
37:45the chief
37:46of police
37:47at the
37:48Prentice
37:48Police Department
37:49and she
37:50said that
37:50I'll talk
37:51to y'all
37:52but I
37:52want to
37:52talk to
37:53him
37:54Sierra's
37:58mother is
37:58claiming she
37:58doesn't know
37:59where her
37:59daughter is
38:00but she
38:01has been
38:02in contact
38:02with her
38:03on social
38:03media
38:03her mother
38:06said that
38:06she had
38:06been talking
38:07to her
38:07on Facebook
38:08Messenger
38:08but she
38:11didn't
38:11remember
38:11whose account
38:13she was
38:14using
38:14she'd just
38:15get a
38:15message
38:15and it
38:16would say
38:16hi mom
38:17it's me
38:18and I'm
38:19okay
38:19or whatever
38:20and then
38:21we finally
38:21convinced
38:21the mother
38:22to let
38:23me look
38:23at her
38:23phone
38:24so I
38:25could see
38:25what

39:26out
39:26and gave
39:27up
39:27no problem
39:28at all
39:28zero guilt
39:29zero shock
39:30I believe
39:30she knew
39:31it was
39:31coming
39:32in fact
39:33she told
39:33me
39:33I knew
39:34you were
39:34coming
39:34for me
39:34I said
39:35yes ma'am
39:35I'm
39:36here
39:36I got
39:36you
39:36procedurally
39:37speaking
39:38a person
39:39is
39:39and this
39:40goes
39:40for any
39:41felony
39:41crime
39:41in the
39:42state
39:42of
39:42Mississippi
39:42it
39:43doesn't
39:43matter
39:43the
39:44procedure
39:44is
39:44the
39:44same
39:45whether
39:45it's
39:45murder
39:45whether
39:46it's
39:46shoplifting
39:46they're
39:47required
39:47to be
39:47taken
39:48before
39:48a judge
39:48for an
39:49initial
39:49appearance
39:50there was
39:50a finding
39:50that she
39:51was a
39:51danger
39:52to the
39:52community
39:53in light
39:54of what
39:55had
39:55happened
39:56and so
39:57her bond
39:58was denied
39:59Sierra
40:02Inscow
40:02is refusing
40:03to admit
40:04she knows
40:04what happened
40:05to Carson
40:05and is pleading
40:06not guilty
40:07she's held
40:08in the
40:08detention
40:08center
40:09while the
40:09prosecution
40:10weigh up
40:11which category
40:11of murder
40:12they can
40:13charge her
40:13with
40:14the act
40:16of meeting
40:16someone
40:16online
40:17gaining
40:17their trust
40:18and then
40:19taking
40:19their
40:20possessions
40:20is
40:21incredibly
40:21calculated
40:22it seems
40:23that Sierra
40:24set her
40:24sight on
40:25a goal
40:25and she
40:26was determined
40:26to meet
40:27it by any
40:28means
40:28necessary
40:29even if
40:29that meant
40:30murder
40:30for me
40:34the question
40:34was always
40:35going to be
40:35is this
40:35going to
40:36come back
40:36as a
40:36first-degree
40:37murder
40:37or is this
40:38going to
40:38come back
40:38as a
40:38capital
40:39murder
40:39our
40:41statutes
40:42on
40:42homicide
40:42in our
40:43state
40:43are very
40:43clear
40:44on what
40:46actions
40:46constitute
40:47different
40:48degrees of
40:49murder
40:49if somebody
40:50with or
40:51without the
40:51intent to
40:52kill
40:52does in
40:53fact kill
40:54somebody
40:54while committing
40:56another violent
40:56crime
40:57then it
40:58shall be
40:58capital
40:58murder
40:59and robbery
41:01is one of
41:02those violent
41:02crimes
41:03in
41:06Mississippi
41:06capital
41:07murder
41:08means the
41:09death
41:09penalty
41:09is an
41:10option
41:10prosecutor
41:13chip
41:13lewis
41:14now has
41:15to decide
41:16whether
41:16sierra
41:16insco
41:17will pay
41:17for
41:18carson's
41:18murder
41:18with her
41:20life
41:20as time
41:22goes on
41:23and as
41:23i've realized
41:24doing this
41:24is that
41:25there is
41:26no amount
41:26of time
41:27there is
41:27no
41:28sentence
41:29that you
41:30can impose
41:31that is
41:32ever going
41:32to bring
41:32somebody's
41:33loved one
41:33back
41:34and so
41:35when i
41:35explain to
41:36a family
41:36that
41:37okay if
41:37we go
41:38to trial
41:38it's going
41:39to be
41:39probably
41:40two and a
41:40half
41:41three years
41:41from now
41:42we get a
41:43conviction
41:43and the
41:44death penalty
41:45is imposed
41:45you're still
41:47looking at
41:48probably
41:4820 plus
41:49years of
41:49appeals
41:49in which
41:50you're going
41:50to be
41:51getting a

41:51of every
41:52appeal
41:53that's filed
41:53on behalf
41:54of the
41:54defendant
41:54and every
41:57single one
41:57of these
41:57appeals
41:58there's a
41:58chance
41:59that that
41:59court
42:00is going
42:00to overturn
42:01this death
42:02penalty
42:03conviction
42:03he let
42:08us digest
42:08that
42:09for a
42:10couple
42:10of weeks
42:10i guess
42:11and then
42:11we
42:12were like

42:13we're not
42:14we're not
