00:01Government spokesman Fahmi Fazil has welcomed Hannah Yeo's appointment as Federal Territories Minister,

00:07describing her as a suitable choice for the role.

00:10Fahmi, the communications minister, said Yeo's key priorities will likely be sustainable development within the Federal Territories.

00:18He said he believed it was a very appropriate appointment, noting that he had worked closely with her before

00:24and that she has consistently championed issues affecting the people.

00:28Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim announced the Cabinet reshuffle earlier today

00:33with Yeo replacing Dr. Zaleha Mustafa as Federal Territories Minister under the Prime Minister's Department.

00:40Yeo previously served as Youth and Sports Minister, a portfolio that is now helmed by Sunni Putani MP Dr. Taufik Johari.

00:49Fahmi also commanded Taufik's appointment, describing it as a fitting choice as he is active and full of ideas

00:55that can ensure the country's youth and sports continue to excel.
