00:00seriously why are you guys going back out on tour i uh i have a couple uh i have a couple

00:08you know ideas of course i mean obviously rush i don't know if that played anything into it

00:13and uh you know um uh rick you've had some uh health issues in the past maybe things you know

00:17maybe changed in your mind a little bit why don't you guys start there it's an obvious question

00:21obviously my wife just wanted to get me out of the house you know and get rid of me and she i

00:27think maybe she's hoping that as i physically try to prepare for you know playing a 90 minute show

00:33i don't know how many we got like 24 and 60 days i i think she's maybe hoping it'll kill me and then

00:39you know i i you know i i think uh we all had to sort of bow to to the uh uh ambition and and

00:50desire of gill moore who wanted to get the rock and roll machine back up on the road

00:56so that he could mount some sort of show thing that only he can imagine and that mike and i just

01:04go oh god what are we getting ourselves into yeah gill you were the one back in the day right with

01:10all the lights and everything you you were the mastermind behind all the stagecraft uh i'll take

01:16one for the team for that yeah um i don't know i was always i was always felt better behind the

01:23scenes to be honest i i always liked the the technology and the you know the uh the big the

01:29big spectacle and all that but i i mean i think we tried to use the uh the stage you know in a way

01:37that we really enhanced the music and i i you know what i see now on a lot of a lot of tours i'm i'm

01:43seeing a lot of flashing you know kind of gratuitous just you know uh flotsam and jetsam uh you know

01:50effects and stuff and that's that's not the intent here like what we're really trying to do is is

01:56create a uh you know tell the story of triumph from the early days to the present and and really trace

02:02the uh the interest that our fans have had that's gone on for years and now decades

02:09um to become what they tell us so that they how they own the songs how they have been impacted by

02:17the lyrics and uh we've noticed that in that feedback that it's it's all about kind of the

02:24positivity and some of our songs are uplifting messages within the you know the never surrenders

02:29and and they uh hold on to your dreams kind of content that was in the lyrics so hopefully the show

02:36uh we'll we'll you know add another dimension to that i'll say and and not just be you know a bunch
