00:25A defender is running full speed.
00:27At the last second, he slides down.
00:30No helmet-to-helmet contact was even made.
00:32And they called, you know, roughness on the defense, Joe.
00:35And I can't figure it out what you're supposed to do.
00:38You know me.
00:38I'm always a proponent to saying, okay, you do have to protect the quarterback.
00:40But once he leaves the pocket and crosses the line of scrimmage, you can't give yourself up.
00:45What's the defender supposed to do?
00:47Because if the defender pulls up, Joe, oop, deep move.
00:50I'm going another 15 yards down the field.
00:51There was no harm, no foul in that play.
00:53And they threw the 15-yard flag.
00:55I couldn't understand it.

00:59They slide early, like way too early, you know, as a runner.
01:05And you've got defenders, you know, full speed ahead.
01:08And then all of a sudden, he just drops down.
01:10And what are you supposed to do here?
01:13So, yeah, it's one of those roles where it's just the timing of it is impossible for a defender to stop himself.

01:21And he did try, you know, you saw the defender try and, you know, be like, he tried his best he could to stop.
01:29But, listen, Tyler Shuck still 272 and a touchdown in the game.
01:33Now back-to-back wins for the Saints over the Bucs and the Panthers of all teams.
01:38And just like that, the Tampa Bay Bucs may have just gotten the help they needed to be back to win that division.
