00:00It's very simple. We need to come out of the ECHR, the European Convention on Human Rights.
00:04Doing that would enable us to deport all illegal immigrants who arrive here within a week.
00:09And the deterrent effect of that means pretty quickly people would stop attempting the crossings
00:14in the first place. We saw just yesterday about 700 people we think illegally crossed the channel.
00:19It's completely unacceptable. We've seen other countries fix this like Australia about 12 or
00:2313 years ago with a similar immediate deportation policy. It worked in Australia and it would work
00:29here.
