00:00The International Forum on Peace and Trust kicked off in Turkmenistan on Friday with
00:04the participation of representatives from more than 30 countries, including regional
00:08heads of states and government.
00:10Dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust and the 30th anniversary of the Declaration
00:14of Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan, the forum's agenda includes debates, plenaries
00:19and a series of parallel high-level bilateral meetings.
00:22Discussions are focused on the search for consensus based on solutions to international
00:27problems and the implementation of multilateral agreements.
00:30In this scenario, Russian President Vladimir Putin praised the meeting's final document
00:33known as the Ashgabat Declaration, highlighting its commitment to peace, non-interference and
00:39respect for nations' right to self-determination.
00:41I would like to highly appreciate the draft Ashgabat Declaration prepared by our Turkmen colleagues.
00:53It is intended to be an important outcome of our joint work during this forum.
01:00Russia and Ikebukly support this document and its firm commitment to the key principle of
01:05the international relations enshrined in the UN Charter.
01:09This includes the commitment to peaceful relations and non-interference in internal affairs, as well
01:14as respect for the rise of all nations and peoples to pursue their own models of growth and development,
01:20beyond world views, traditions and religions.
01:27Also, in the context of the Forum on Peace and Trust, a meeting took place between Russian
01:32President Vladimir Putin and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
01:35The leaders discussed the European Union's attempts to confiscate Russian assets to support Ukraine.
01:41In this regard, President Putin informed Erdogan of a plan to counter these measures.
01:45Let's recall that the Russian Central Bank reported that it had filed a lawsuit against Euroclear,
01:50a financial services company based in Belgium, which controls €185 million in Russian assets,
01:56which it intends to use without Moscow's consent.
01:59Also, in this context, Russia and Iran reached agreements on energy development, transport
02:09and infrastructure such as the North-South Road Project.
02:12On Friday, Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Iranian counterpart Massoud Peshezkian
02:16agreed to implement a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement in different fields.
02:21Both sides expressed their satisfaction with the growth of development relations between
02:26Moscow and Tehran.
02:27The ongoing Forum celebrates a step towards collective responsibility to prevent deviations
02:33from the principles of peace and international trust.
