00:06Geopolitical tensions remain front and center at SPIF as the forum enters its third day.

00:21Thank you studio and of course at SPIF 2026, the main topic here is the geopolitical tensions
00:27when it comes to US and also the West Asia that's currently happening and we managed to see and also
00:34interview Maria Zakharova
00:35which is the Director of Information and Press Department of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.
00:41Let's take a look and listen to what she has to say about the whole geopolitical tensions when it comes
00:46to US and GCC countries.
00:49You want us, you want us stop watching the reality?
00:56No, please don't expect, we will see the situation in its realistic dimension, you know, we are not in a
01:09mythologic situation,
01:12we do not want to live in a surreal world of, sorry to say, Western media mainstream.
01:24We have our realistic view on what is going on there.
01:30The recent independent states, Iran, which is developing its own economy, its own life up to their traditions
01:39and up to their state system, political system, and there is aggression which happened in March 2026
01:49with no real reason, with no real base under it and this is what shaped our position.
02:00We regard the situation from this angle because we are based on facts because I am watching the situation very
02:11closely
02:12and it was really surprising how within one week, like it was the first decade of March, the situation was
02:22brought to the world's attention differently than so-called.
02:27It was not American-Israeli aggression towards or against Iraq, it was Iranian bad behavior towards nearby countries and US
02:42and Israel.
02:43Come on guys, if you want to be surrealistic, it also can be your choice, but don't be surprised that
02:53something happened to you and you won't be prepared.
02:56We want to be prepared to real risks, to real life and it's not about us changing our position because
03:08somebody will be more insistent or because we will switch the TV channel from Fox to CNN one time.
03:16We are watching all the screens, by the way. And no, we are realistically regarding this situation.
03:25As we speak right now, the plenary session involving the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin is currently taking place and
03:32of course there is a lot of topics being discussed by him and also the other speakers on stage right
03:37now.
03:37We will be bringing all that information and also details later on www.esrahovani.com and also our office.
03:43Thanks for covering the answers.
