00:10Hey guys, it's Ali for Hollywood Life and R. Kelly finally broke his silence about allegations of sexual abuse in a new CBS interview with Gayle King.
00:19And when I say broke his silence, I really mean it because Kelly was screaming throughout.
00:25But let's back up for one second. R. Kelly has been under fire for a little over a decade for allegations of sexual abuse.
00:32But everything was really brought back into the spotlight when the docu-series, Surviving R. Kelly, was released in January.
00:39The interview with CBS This Morning was Kelly's first time speaking publicly about the allegations since he was officially charged and arrested late last month.
00:48But despite turning himself in, the R&B singer still pled not guilty to the 10 charges against him.
00:54In part one of the interview with CBS's Gayle King, Kelly explains that all the girls making accusations are lying and looking for a book or TV show deal.
01:04Whenever asked about having sex with anyone under the age of 18, Kelly continually delivered a hard no to Gayle and even described his situation as an assassination where people are just trying to bury him alive.
01:17R. Kelly's emotions spiked when Gayle brought up the claims that he had trapped girls and held them against their will.
01:23At this point in the interview, Kelly began to rant and spiraled into an outburst filled with tears.
01:30I didn't do this stuff. This is not me, y'all. I'm fighting for my f***ing life.
01:37Y'all killing me with this s***. I can't help 30 years of my f***ing family.
01:42After calming down a little, R. Kelly explained he needed someone to help him stop forgiving those that betray him,
01:49to which Gayle responded by pointing out he's just playing the victim card.
01:53People on social media, including myself, have been praising Gayle for keeping her composure despite Kelly losing his multiple times.
