00:13It begins with a fast-moving storm across the Midwest. Saturday night, that storm pushes across the Mid-Atlantic, and then it moves out to sea.
00:21While we're generally looking at 1 to 3 inches, there will be pockets of 3 to 6 inches of snow across the Midwest.
00:28Now, for the I-95 corridor from D.C. toward Boston, 1 to 3 inches of snow doesn't sound like a lot.
00:35However, it's going to be falling at night.
00:37Originally, when the snow starts, temperatures will be above freezing.
00:41Then, by the time we get in the Sunday morning, temperatures will be in the 20s with that snow continuing, which means roads are going to be treacherous.
00:49Be especially careful of bridges and overpasses.
00:53They always freeze first as they're closer to the air temperature.
00:57Once the storm leaves, it's just brutally cold.
01:01The core of the cold on Saturday will be in the Midwest.
