00:00So we are delighted to tell the world of NASCAR and its fans that this case has been settled.
00:07We believe it's a settlement that's going to grow this sport, that's going to be great for the teams
00:13and for NASCAR, but most importantly for the fans. This case was filed 15 months ago. This was never
00:20about just 23-11. It was never just about front row. It was about trying to do something that
00:28was to be great for everyone. And as part of this deal, we are going to have evergreen charters
00:33that could be available for everyone.
00:38I mean, like two competitors, obviously, we're trying to get as much done in each other's
00:43favor, but I think, you know, collectively, and I don't think Jim was any opposite of me,
00:47was the fans has always been the best, you know, solution to this whole process and to
00:52the sport itself. The only way that, and I've said this from day once, the only way this
00:56sport is going to grow is we have to find some synergy between the two men to each.
01:00And I think we've gotten to that point. Unfortunately, it took 16 months to get
01:04to here, but I think, you know, level heads has got us to this point to where we can
01:08actually work together and grow this sport. I'm very proud about that, and I think
01:12Jim feels the same. Jim? Jim? Yes, I do feel the same. We can get back to focusing on what
01:19we really love, and that's racing, and we spend a lot of time kind of in a not really
01:29focused on that so much as we need to be, so I feel like that we've made a very good
01:34decision here together, and we have a big opportunity to continue growing the sport.
01:41We've got Denny Hamlin getting ready to go for the championship, and we need to focus
01:47on what we all love.
01:50What was the impetus that made it today and not earlier?
01:55Level heads.
01:57In all honesty, when you get to the finish line, sometimes you have to think, you know, not
02:02just for yourself, but you've got to think about the sport as a whole, and I think both
02:05parties got to that point, and we realized that we can have an opportunity to settle this,
02:09and we dove in, and we actually did it.
02:12Unfortunately, it took us that long, but we got here.
02:15That's all that matters.
02:16I mean, do you feel like it was worth it?
02:18Well, I mean, both parties feel like it's worth it because we understand we had to work
02:22together.
02:23I mean, compromise in every negotiation is one of the toughest things that you can do,
02:27and I think that you can say that we both compromise on both of our agendas, and I think
02:33we both come to the conclusion that it's better for the sport.
