00:00The six men and two women on the cover of Time magazine are who they have dubbed the
00:04architects of artificial intelligence and their person of the year.
00:09Among those on the beam are Meta's Mark Zuckerberg, AMD chief Lisa Su, OpenAI's Sam Altman and
00:15chipmaker NVIDIA's Jensen Huang.
00:18We named the architects of AI as the person of the year this year because we were really

01:12improve living conditions.
01:14The question is, will it do so on an equal basis?
01:17Will it do so for everybody?
01:18And right now we see cleavages opening up, be it between superpowers, or be it between
01:23family members, or be it between people in the countryside and in big cities.
01:27The magazine has named a person of the year since 1927, but this is not the first time technology
01:32took the title.
01:33In 1982, it was the computer.
